I Really Am A Villain -
Ch. 162 - The Hidden Realm Opens
📢 New Novel Launch!
Aside from the ambushers stationed atop both sides of the mountains, a large group of people also blocked the road ahead of Xu Zimo and Little Gui.
The leader of this group was a burly woman, dark-skinned, holding a spiked mace, and sporting a very short haircut. From a distance, she looked more like a hulking man than a woman.
“So it’s just two pretty boys,” the woman laughed boisterously as she looked at Xu Zimo and Little Gui.
“Who are you people?” Little Gui asked as he rode his Green Flood-Stallion forward.
“Capture them!” the woman shouted, ignoring his question. “Tonight we’re getting married!”
“Miss, we were only ordered to guard this place and keep out intruders,” a black-clad man next to her said hesitantly. “Driving them away should be enough. Best not to stir up trouble.”
“No one usually comes this deep into the Grand Myriad Mountains, and my father won’t let me go outside,” the woman huffed. “Now that two pretty boys show up, how could I let them go?”
As soon as she spoke, the ground began to tremble.
Not far ahead, a beam of green light shot into the sky. Ripples spread through the surrounding space, and with the light’s dissipation came a deafening boom.
“Is it opening already? Why such a massive disturbance?” the black-clad man frowned.
Then, with a wave of his hand, he shouted, “Capture those two before they leak anything!”
As soon as he gave the order, the entire crowd surged toward Xu Zimo and Little Gui.
Some blocked the rear path to prevent their escape.
Xu Zimo quickly assessed the group. Their cultivation levels were mixed, some at Spirit Meridian Realm, the strongest at Desolate Meridian Realm.
Little Gui didn’t hesitate. Wielding his long staff, he charged into battle.
Xu Zimo slowly unsheathed Shadow Tyrant. His aura surged, and stepping into the air, he struck with a single slash.
The blade unleashed a flood-like torrent, sending violent winds sweeping across the area. A third of the attackers in front of him were instantly cut down.
The force raged through the space, and the roar of rushing water echoed in the air.
The black-clad man who had issued the order turned pale. “Miss, this one’s a powerhouse. We have to warn the chieftain!”
As the two tried to escape, Xu Zimo soared through the air. Those in his way were sliced down like stalks of grain, leaving trails of blood.
He slashed a deep ravine through the mountain path ahead, then descended slowly.
Seeing him land, the black-clad man quickly begged for mercy. “Sir, we mean no harm! We’re from the Bear Tribe!”
Clang!
Under the unstoppable blade light of Shadow Tyrant, the man’s head was sent flying.
“But I mean harm,” Xu Zimo said with a smirk.
The burly woman had already been scared senseless. As Xu Zimo stepped toward her, she stammered, “Don’t kill me! I’ll tell you anything you want to know!”
“No need,” Xu Zimo said, shaking his head with a smile.
Blade up.
Head off.
With her death, the rest of the attackers scattered in a panic.
Xu Zimo didn’t bother chasing them. He and Little Gui walked toward the area where the green light had erupted.
…
In the sky, a dozen elders in yellow robes stood in midair. Around them, the space trembled with endless ripples and waves of devouring energy.
Boom, boom, boom!
The spatial collapse occurred in just one section; the rest remained stable.
As the crumbling space continued to collapse, spiritforce surged from the sky, flowing into the shattered void.
The elders merely watched, as if waiting for something.
“Senior Brother, what is that?” Little Gui asked in awe.
“A Hidden Realm seems to be opening,” Xu Zimo replied. “Can’t say if it’s one created by a cultivator or a natural dimensional rift.”
On the Primordial Heartlands, there are many Hidden Realms.
Some date back to the beginning of the epoch, formed during the time the Primordial Chaos Bead shaped the heavens and earth.
Others are crafted by cultivators who reach a certain realm and can carve out their own pocket dimensions.
Some hermit masters live in such realms; others store their inheritances there.
Noticing Xu Zimo and Little Gui’s arrival, the elders turned to look at them.
All of them were at the Paragon Meridian Realm, none had reached the Empyrean Meridian Realm.
One elder stepped forward and furrowed his brow. Seeing Xu Zimo’s airborne presence and sensing his own powerful aura, he quickly adjusted his tone and smiled.
“I am the Chieftain of the Bear Tribe. May I ask who you are, sir?”
“Just a passerby,” Xu Zimo replied casually, unsheathing Shadow Tyrant as thunder roared overhead.
“This Hidden Realm is about to open,” the elder said with a careful smile. “Whether it’s fortune or disaster, no one knows. But if you're willing, we won’t compete, let’s all enter together. Whatever blessings lie inside, may the strongest win them. What do you think?”
“Fine by me,” Xu Zimo said with a grin.
His gaze grew serious. That green light earlier had released an incredibly pure life aura.
Xu Zimo had seen the Spring of Life in his previous life, but this life aura was even more refined than that.
After Xu Zimo agreed, the elder returned to discuss with the others. All of them looked cautiously at Xu Zimo.
…
The spiritforce in the sky grew denser, and the atmosphere brimmed with vital energy.
Finally, as the space reached its limit, it completely shattered.
A massive vortex appeared in the sky, exuding a faint devouring force.
The elders exchanged glances, then all flew into the vortex. Xu Zimo and Little Gui followed close behind.
As they entered, they vanished like droplets in the ocean, without a trace.
Everything became eerily quiet. The broken space slowly began to mend itself, and the vortex, still rotating, hung ominously in midair.
