📢 New Novel Launch!

“How has Yan Buhui been lately?” Xu Zimo asked Little Gui.

“I heard he left the sect a while ago and hasn’t come back yet. Looks like he won’t be joining the Blood Demon Hidden Realm this time,” Little Gui replied.

Xu Zimo stroked his chin thoughtfully. According to his memories from his past life, this should be about the time Yan Buhui receives the Sword God's inheritance.

He didn’t know exactly how Yan Buhui got it, but he clearly remembered the timing, it was right after he left the sacred ground and came back that Yan Buhui began to shine.

His talent had always been remarkable, especially in his comprehension of sword intent. After gaining the Sword God’s inheritance, it was like a new world opened up for him in sword cultivation.

From then on, he became one of the top young disciples in the True Martial Sacred Sect.

Later, when he mastered the sword path, he descended upon Northwest City and overthrew the entire Huang Clan.

In no time, the title of Sword Sage echoed across the Eastern Continent.

…

Before heading to the Blood Demon Hidden Realm, Xu Zimo made a quick stop at Green Mountain, where his father Xu Qingshan lived.

He retrieved an item from his father, then made his way to the Hidden Realm.

By the time he arrived, a long line had already formed. Most of the disciples were from the inner and outer courts.

There were only a handful of core disciples present. After all, once core disciples reached the Paragon Meridian Realm, they were expected to leave the sect and walk their own martial path.

Only through experiencing the world and enduring trials could they truly forge their path in martial cultivation. Staying in the sect for too long would hinder real growth.

Xu Zimo took a quick glance. There were only about five or six core disciples in attendance:

At the front of the line stood Elder Feng, one of the top inner court elders and the one in charge of opening the secret realm today.

He had reached the Imperial Meridian Realm, and his aura was vast like the sea, making him appear unfathomable.

With a gentle wave of his hands, the air in front of him began to ripple.

His True Fate manifested, a crescent moon. It floated in the sky, faint and pale. Despite it being broad daylight, the moon still hung in the sky like a bright and pure beacon.

As Elder Feng lowered his arms, a rumbling sound came from ahead.

With a loud crack, the space before them shattered, forming the shape of a doorway.

From behind the door, an overwhelming stench of blood surged forth, accompanied by a raging sea of blood energy that seemed ready to burst through.

“Enter,” Elder Feng said calmly.

Some of the disciples who had been to the secret realm before looked fine, but many first-timers turned pale at the sight and smell.

This was indeed an opportunity, but one fraught with danger.

…

Xu Zimo and his group of three stepped through the gate. As their vision adjusted, they were stunned by the sight before them.

The horizon stretched endlessly, and yellow soil churned up towering sandstorms that howled across the skies.

Scarlet winds danced wildly, producing eerie wails, like mourning cries at close range.

The ground was covered in sand tainted with blood. Every step they took made a crunching “creak creak” sound, which made everyone uncomfortable.

Above, the sky was a blood-red void, with no sun, just a vast crimson expanse.

“So this is the Blood Demon Hidden Realm?” Little Gui exclaimed in awe.

“Let’s move forward. There are a lot of Blood Demons here, but their attacks aren’t that strong,” Xu Zimo said.

They hadn’t walked far before a roar echoed in front of them.

A creature, humanoid in appearance, stood in their path.

Though it looked like a person, it more closely resembled a monkey. It crawled on all fours, leaping and bounding every few steps. Its whole body was blood red, and it gave off a horrible stench.

“This is a Blood Demon? Doesn’t look that scary,” said Little Gui.

He pulled out his iron rod and was about to strike when a sword light suddenly flashed past him.

Before the Blood Demon could even cry out, it was sliced to pieces, the strike was incredibly fast.

Little Gui turned his head and saw Zhong Xin, the First Grand Elder’s disciple, standing off to the side in red robes, sword in hand.

“What the hell? We saw that Blood Demon first,” Little Gui said angrily.

“Just because you saw it first doesn’t mean it’s yours,” Zhong Xin scoffed and walked over to retrieve the Blood Demon Crystal.

Xu Zimo glanced at him, unsure whether Zhong Xin’s actions were intentional or not.

“No worries, let’s go,” Xu Zimo smiled at Little Gui without anger.

Little Gui glared at Zhong Xin, but followed Xu Zimo and moved on.

But no matter where they went, Zhong Xin followed. And every time a Blood Demon appeared, he would strike first and take the kill.

Because Zhong Xin was in the Paragon Meridian Realm, neither Lin Ruhu nor Little Gui could compete. Xu Zimo, meanwhile, didn’t intervene.

But by now, Xu Zimo had figured it out, Zhong Xin was deliberately targeting him.

Still, that made things more interesting.

He hadn’t come here to collect Blood Demon Crystals, he was after something else.

He had originally intended to use the half-step Empyrean Meridian power jade pendant his father gave him. But now it seemed, the perfect opportunity had come knocking.

…

“You’d better be careful not to lose track,” Xu Zimo said to Zhong Xin with a smile.

Zhong Xin frowned slightly as he watched Xu Zimo’s departing figure.

In truth, this was all the First Grand Elder’s idea. Ever since they returned from the Palace of Paintings in Violet Sun City, the Grand Elder had noticed something wrong with his grandson, Shao Xingyu.

The kid was terrified of Xu Zimo, so much so that he’d started having nightmares, where he saw Zhang He’s severed head staring at him in the dark.

If it were just typical squabbles between juniors, the Grand Elder wouldn’t bother.

But now, Shao Xingyu’s cultivation heart had become unstable.

There are only two possible outcomes for someone in that state:

Either he conquers his inner demons, emerges stronger, and reforges his Dao Heart; Or he collapses completely, forever living in fear, and thus destined to achieve nothing great.

Zhong Xin actually looked down on Shao Xingyu. The guy had always lived a pampered life, he’d never suffered hardship.

As the First Grand Elder’s grandson, Shao Xingyu had everything handed to him: resources, connections, status. Within the sect, he was a spoiled tyrant.

But kids raised like that often end up useless.

This was a world where only strength mattered, and every true powerhouse had walked a path paved with blood.

Yet Shao Xingyu became mentally broken just because he saw his friend get killed by Xu Zimo.

It was like raising a caged bird, fed daily, worry-free.

But when it grows up, it’s useless. It can’t fly, can’t hunt, and can’t escape predators.

A decoration, nothing more.
