I Need Wives For My Gacha System -
Chapter 65 --65
Chapter 65: Chapter-65
His intention before from the auction was to get the Phantom Lotus which he needed for a pill he needed to create. The breakthrough of his constitution needed various items but forming it into pills would let him absorb it better. That was his intention on getting the materials but a small thing had changed.
The matter was related to Ayana. Rex didn’t know it before but after he woke up today,
’My strength has increased’
Somehow miraculously his strength had increased, it was not only his body strength but also his cultivation. But his body refining had progressed more than his cultivation. He was already at the peak of the realm he was at and was at a bottleneck but despite that it somehow progressed.
He was gathering the materials for this bottleneck and to breakthrough but somehow it progressed. When hearing that Ayana had also increased her strength, he knew that it was because of the sex they had that had increased their strength. Rex already had an inkling that it was the result of that but after Ayana said it, he confirmed it. But he didn’t want to tell her that, he wanted to let Ayana slowly find out.
Though Ayana had a lower talent than him, the girl was really hardworking. Aside from what she had to do, the rest of the time she cultivated. As for a girl like her if she were to find out that spending time with him conversing about life would help her with cultivation, he wondered what would happen.
Rex left these thoughts and focused on the current situation. Because of his bottleneck loosening, he didn’t need as much as resources as before and the Phantom Lotus wasn’t necessarily needed anymore. Before he required it to make SoulShedding pill. It was not a common pill by any means. The ingredient itself was a third grade resource and the pill was a low to mid earth tier pill.
The Phantom Lotus grew in places were death mostly occurred, similar to his CrimsonVine sapling but what they grow on was not the same. Before Phantom Lotus was almost deemed to be an evil plant and was to be killed whenever a person saw it. People thought that the name Phantom Lotus was the name for a plant that would feast on the souls of dead living beings and grow.
It was not necessarily the case as the phantom lotus was a lotus plant that grew in clear fresh water. As for the case of death, what made it so feared was not its root system or its method of absorbing nutrients, but rather its pollen. This pollen was unique, it released an intoxicating fragrance into the air, which drew nearby beasts towards it. However, once inhaled, the pollen would act as a potent hallucinogenic agent, distorting the minds of creatures and luring them into the water.
Under its effects, the creature would lose all sense of direction and drown within the very lake that nurtured the Phantom Lotus. Their lifeless bodies would sink to the depths, enriching the water with nutrients, ensuring the Phantom Lotus continued to grow undisturbed. Whether it grew on souls was still a factor that was not proven.
Rex was now seated in the back of a luxurious black car, smoothly making its way toward the auction venue. Unlike before, Ayana wasn’t the one driving this time. Instead, a designated driver sat at the front, and a partition divided the front and back, ensuring that whatever conversation took place between them remained unheard.
Ayana was dressed elegantly, her outfit was a black skirt that fell just above her knees. Her upper wear was also a black sleek and form fitting top. The dark colour complemented the black haired beauty, making her look like a mysterious and alluring siren. Her black hair fell down her back like a waterfall of night. Along with the womanly aura she exuded, her aura alone was demanding attention.
Rex, on the other hand, looked handsome dressed in a sharp outfit that Ayana had personally chosen for him, insisting that he wear it for the occasion. His attire consisted of a crisp white shirt, paired with a tailored black suit that fit him perfectly. The jacket emphasized his broad shoulders, while the trousers accentuated his long legs. Rex normally wouldn’t care much about formal wear but Ayana was the one to decide his wear as she dressed him so he had allowed Ayana to have her way. As they sat, Ayana suddenly brought up something, her voice carrying a hint of hesitation.
"By the way, Master, there was a matter that Callan wanted to tell you about, but he had to leave due to the mission assigned to him"
Rex raised a brow, mildly amused. Callan was not the type to make requests or seek favours. If anything, he was the one always supplying Callan with resources and anything else he needed. For him to want to inform Rex of something personally? That was rare.
"Oh? What is it?"
Ayana hesitated before speaking, her voice carrying a slight uncertainty.
"It’s related to... um... ’Lady Boss’?"
Rex raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.
"Lady Boss?"
Ayana nodded slowly. "I think that’s what they called it... Callan mentioned it before he left."
Rex chuckled, shaking his head.
’That old title, huh...’
It started as a joke among his soldiers back in the day. The person in question whom they were referring to was his second in command. Her name was Saria. The name was earned due to her well, somewhat closeness with Rex and also how she fought on the battlefield. After all, Saria wasn’t just his right hand, she was the only one who could keep up with him on the battlefield.
She was a hot blooded person who prioritized working and was quite strict. She was also an untouchable goddess. Because of her strength no one could defeat her and thus made her fame.
Her beauty as well as her strength was a hit in the army. Girls were rare in the army and for a girl like this there were many pursuers. She rejected all of them. Until Rex came, no one from his squadron could defeat her.
But the reason why she earned that title was because of how she acted around him. Unlike how she treated, her treatment with him was different. Of course it was not always like but was changed with time. But of course to other people, it wasn’t like that at all, what they could see that was that Saria treating Rex different which sparked up rumours.
They wanted to call her commander’s wife but upon seeing her strictness and strength they just decided on lady boss. Saria didn’t know why everyone started calling her that but as time went on both Rex and Saria got used to the name. Rex could get why they called that but he didn’t know whether Saria would with her hot blooded and airhead nature. But that didn’t matter at the moment,
"What about it"
"It’s like this, she wants to come work for you master"
"But she isn’t able to get out yet"
"She was wondering if master had a way that would allow it"
In short, he had to bail her out of the army. For this, he didn’t have much power on it but he could ask his mother about it.
"I don’t have much influence in the matter, but I will try to see what I can do about it"
"Thank you master"
"Why are you thanking me"
Rex didn’t understand why she would thank him. Afterall if someone had to thank it would be Saria as well as Callan and the others.
"I am just thanking master in representation of Callan and the others"
As the car glided to a smooth stop, Ayana turned to Rex and announced,
"We’ve arrived, Master"
She smiled and reached for the door handle, opening it with a soft click. Rex watched as she stepped out of the vehicle, her elegant black outfit and raven-haired beauty turning heads as she emerged onto the sidewalk.
Rex followed suit, exiting the car and offering his arm to Ayana as she waited for him. She took it graciously, her slender hand wrapping around his forearm as they fell into step together. The crowd gathered outside the auction house couldn’t help but stare at the striking couple, their whispers and murmurs filling the air.
As they made their way towards the entrance, Rex could hear snippets of conversation from onlookers.
"Look at them... they’re so beautiful" someone whispered.
"They are like golden boy and girl"
"I would pay to be as beautiful as them"
Another voice chimed in,
Ayana seemed oblivious to the attention, her focus fixed on Rex as they walked hand in hand through the VIP door of the auction house not needing to wait in line like the others. The doors swung open with a soft whoosh by the guards as soon as they saw them. As they entered, Rex could feel eyes upon them from all directions.
