Chapter 49: Chapter-49

It was a yellow rank weapon yet it ended up in such a state. He could only say,

’As expected of a fire born from an emperor grade constitution’

He didn’t care whether the weapon was destroyed. It was only a yellow rank1 weapon and he had plenty off in his system inventory that he could still claim. Of course only one or two of them were spears so he had to use them sparingly now that is either he gets more spears either of the same grade or higher from the gacha or buys some while he goes on a visit to his mother or his barony.

Thinking of the gacha wheel, Rex looked at the novice gacha wheel which he had refreshed. The previous novice wheel which he had refreshed after he had completely gotten all the items inside it. Rex had a cheeky idea at first when he saw the refreshed novice wheel. If he were to get items such as the constitution he gained from the wheel repeatedly from the novice wheel wouldn’t it be overpowered.

Sadly it was only a dream as he gained the information that only the first time of the wheel would guarantee to give out good stuff as for the refreshed items, they were good for the items in their own tier of wheels and there was still a chance to gain good stuff but as gacha was gacha, he would have to find out it based on luck whether there were good stuff in it.

The good thing was that after the morning with Laura, he was able to gain good amount of points enough for around 2 to 3 pulls in the gacha Wheel#01. He couldn’t help but think how much he would gain if the relationship were to go deeper.

In royalty, chastity is heavily guarded by women of their stature as a women without their chastity is a women not fit to be married and their chastity is only for their marriage partners and they can only give it away after their marriage.

Not only was it the norm for royalty it was also for the people in the kingdom. The kingdom of Drakoria, also known as the dragon of the east. Among the ten kingdoms in the east locates near the southern east and is also the largest kingdom among the eastern kingdoms. The kingdom was called the dragon of the east due to it’s brutish war hungry state during the great war which earned it’s title.

Rex stopped thinking about politics and geography and thought about his own barony and his maid who was managing it. He took out his phone from his storage ring and called her. The call was answered almost immediately,

"Hello, master"

__ __ __

"Miss, all of the plants have matured"

"Already"

In front of her was a man in a white coat with glasses. His eyes were fanatical as he looked at the list on his hands. He was the lead researcher brought from Isabella’s county. Rather Isabella gave it to Rex only telling Ayana about these and other things she gave. Afterall, Rex wasn’t going to look at the lists of reports and documents and Ayana was personally trained by her and she trusted her regarding these.

"Yes, with the fertilizer specially given by Miss and the blood soil made with the blood of third grade beasts, it matured at a visible speed"

"Not only that the fruits each branch had were very plentiful similar to the first one which was brought by Miss"

"The brewing and fermentation had already started a week ago with the fruits we have and they are already showing signs of being successfully fermented"

"The wine should at least be Second Grade Peak if not for the plant being extinct and not having a specialized fermenting method, it would definitely reach Third Grade"

"It would be a hit definitely in the market"

"What about the costs efficiency"

"It is extremely cost efficient Miss, the plants after being matured don’t need Third grade blood beast either, they only need second grade initial beast blood to satiate the plant from time to time"

"If not for it being extinct, similar to the fermentation method, the blood soil could also be able to cut cost if we were able to find a good way of making blood soil"

"The price when selling the wine can be lowered as much as half than the other wines of it’s grade at the market at the maximum extent"

"Alright, very good"

"You can go"

Putting the report on the desk, the researcher left. Ayana sat in her office, a well organized space adorned with bookshelves filled with business reports and research documents. She had a cold and commanding presence of a boss, the two words efficient and composed could be used to describe it. Her attire reflected that too, a crisp white blouse tucked into a pencil skirt, her long black hair neatly tied back. After the researcher left,

"Master, master you always give surprises"

The moment the researcher left, all that professionalism crumbled. She sighed as she remembered back to the good times when they were in the royal academy. In the academy, she joined as the personal maid of Rex. Her job was to serve Rex and help him with whatever he needed. Because of her strength, she was also in the party of Rex. She sighed as she remembered those times.

"If that didn’t happen, would that be possible"

"Why am I even thinking about it, I am just a maid" She said but thinking back to the memories with her master, she couldn’t help but be hopeful and fantasize about it.

"I wonder how those three are doing" The ones in question were the other members of their squad.

Ring-Ring-Ring

Her phone screen lit up with a familiar name.

{Master}

Her eyes widened, and her lips parted slightly before a bright flush dusted her cheeks. She let out an squeak of excitement but quickly covered her mouth. Taking a deep breath, she composed herself, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear before finally answering.

"Hello, Master," she greeted, keeping her voice smooth, though her fingers fidgeted with the hem of her blouse.

"Ayana, how’s everything going?" Rex’s deep voice came through,

Ayana immediately straightened in her chair, her professional mask slipping back on.

"Everything is progressing well, Master. The plants have fully matured, thanks to the blood soil and the specialized fertilizer I acquired."

She paused for a moment, eyes gleaming as she reported further.

"The brewing and fermentation started a week ago, and we’re already seeing successful results. We estimate the final product will be at least Second Grade Peak."

"That’s promising" Rex’s voice carried an approving note.

"And cost efficiency?"

Ayana twirled a strand of her hair around her finger, a small, pleased smile forming.

"Extremely efficient. Once matured, the plants no longer require third grade beast blood, only second grade initial beast blood is needed periodically to maintain the vines"

"If we can find a way to refine the blood soil’s creation process, production costs could be reduced further"

"You’ve done well, Ayana"

She blinked, her cheeks heating slightly. Her grip on the phone tightened as her heart skipped a beat.

’He praised me...’

Pushing down the giddy feeling rising inside her, she cleared her throat.

"Master, how are you?" she asked, shifting the topic.

"I’m fine" Rex replied casually.

"But I have something for you to take care of"

She immediately perked up her ears to listen to whatever Rex wanted to request.

"Anything, Master"

"I’m sending a list to your WeTalk now"

A soft notification chime sounded, and she checked the message, her eyes scanning over the list of rare materials and resources.

"I’ll do my best, Master" she promised.

"I’ll try to make sure everything is gathered before your visit"

"Take of yourself and thank you for your hard work"

His words sent a small shiver of joy through her.

"It’s my pleasure, Master" she said softly, but before she could say anything more, the call ended.

She stared at her phone for a moment, processing the conversation. Then, carefully, she placed the phone down on her desk. Silence filled the office.

Then suddenly, Ayana leapt to her feet, twirling around the room, her arms spread as she spun in a small, joyous dance.

"He praised me! He praised me!" she squealed, grinning ear to ear.

Her excitement overflowed, and she grabbed a nearby cushion from the couch, hugging it to her chest as she flopped onto the chair.

It wasn’t that she had a praise kink. No, no, of course not. It was just... because it was from him. She sighed dreamily, hugging the cushion tighter. Her mind wandered back to the days of the Royal Academy, back when she was always at his side, tending to his needs, fighting alongside him. Those were the best days of her life. And now though she was still serving him, her chances of being close to him were lesser compared to before.

"If I work hard enough, maybe..."

With renewed determination, Ayana stood up, smoothing out her skirt. She had work to do. If Master wanted those resources, then she would move mountains to get them.

"Time to get started"
