Without a word, he stepped closer and gently pulled her into his arms. When Rex reached out and gently pulled her into his arms, she didn’t resist. Silence ensued as Rex brushed her back softly with his hands. "I still have to do my chores"

As the awkwardness set in, Laura quickly left as if to escape from it. Leaving the room, Laura covered her red face as she lied on Rex’s door.
