Chapter 851: 625 Cross Fire_2
"Hello there!"
He grinned, holding the dagger, and took two long steps to arrive in front of the two bodyguards. Without hesitation, he plunged it towards one’s chest with a decisiveness that exuded a terrifying ferocity.
"Thud!"
The dagger pierced skin and flesh, stained with blood, yet it didn’t reach the heart. The bodyguard wasn’t a slouch either. In a split second, he sidestepped, and the dagger sunk into his shoulder, blood gushing forth immediately.
"Fuck!"
Another bodyguard, with a fierce look in his eyes, exhibited outstanding professional skills. He kicked in a flash, violently striking Hei Chan in the abdomen, sending Hei Chan flying out, luckily caught by someone.
It was Sorghum.
By this time, three others had jumped down from the ventilation ducts.
Sorghum held Hei Chan with one hand and a dagger in the other, the foolishness vanishing from his sloppy face, replaced with a chilling, cruel tint.
Seeing a few more people drop from above, the two bodyguards’ expressions shifted ever so slightly.
"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh..." The butterfly knife spun in the hand, raising a faint sound of wind. Knowing that time was of the essence, Jiang led the charge, not giving the bodyguards a chance to sound the alarm. With a powerful leap, he soared into the air.
Such jumping power could probably win a place at the Olympics.
The bodyguard instinctively looked up, only to see a streak of cold light flash by at an unavoidable angle.
Clutching his throat, he gurgled helplessly, unable to utter another word.
The blood that spurted out stained Jiang’s face red.
Seeing his partner killed, the other bodyguard’s eyes bulged with rage. He didn’t freeze up but immediately attempted to retaliate. However, a cunning and swift dagger flew towards him, brutally and accurately piercing his forehead.
The bodyguard’s movements froze, and involuntarily, he toppled backward, his back hitting the door.
"Bang."
Inside the room.
Vera, playing with her laptop on the sofa, heard a slight noise from the door, and instinctively turned her head.
The two female bodyguards by her side also turned in unison to look at the door.
"Miss, please go back to your bedroom."
One bodyguard spoke; her plain face remained expressionless, but she was entirely alert.
Vera frowned, didn’t say anything, put on her slippers, and walked into the bedroom, holding her laptop.
Outside the door.
Two bodyguards were already dead.
Sorghum gave Camel a thumbs up. Before he could offer praise, footsteps were heard behind them.
Somebody had discovered them.
"These two are for you."
Camel had just thrown his weapon out, but before he finished speaking, a dull "bang bang" sound rang out.
His heart fluttered for a moment, and he looked at Sorghum perplexedly.
Sorghum was similarly at a loss.
"Boss, they have guns!"
Hei Chan, nursing the pain from the kick, urgently cried out.
Right.
The two rushing bodyguards were holding dark pistols.
Weren’t firearms forbidden in Shenzhou?!
Without needing a reminder, Jiang also heard the gunfire and was indeed startled.
It was well known that Shenzhou had the strictest controls, so they hadn’t brought guns with them, planning to complete the mission the old-fashioned way. But now...
"Bang!"
Sorghum’s body shook; the tall and thin figure made an easy target, and he was struck by a bullet quickly.
"Damn!"
Jiang cursed; the entire floor must have been alerted by now, that more bodyguards coming their way was inevitable. Staying in the hallway would turn them into a sieve!
"Everyone, get in!"
He shouted, then he gave the door a fierce kick.
The door, of good quality, did not give in.
"Move aside, Boss, let me do it!"
Before his words fell, Camel charged forward. As Jiang moved aside, Camel kicked the door with momentum and great force.
"Crash!"
The door burst open.
Looking cool, Camel stumbled forward into the room after breaking open the door, unable to stop his own momentum.
"Everyone get in..."
Three Eyes bellowed again, but before he could finish his sentence, there were several more "bang bang" sounds.
Although silencers had been fitted, these gunshots were clearly louder and closer.
Three Eyes still had his mouth open, but no other sound came out. He stiffly turned his head to see Camel’s hunched figure slowly collapse.
Then,
Two pitch-black gun barrels were revealed.
"Boss, Gaoliang’s been shot! He’s been shot!!"
What goes around, comes around; this time it was Hei Chan supporting Gaoliang. Being tall had its advantages. As Hei Chan frantically helped Gaoliang run toward where Three Eyes was, Gaoliang was hit by three more bullets. To the uninformed, it might have looked like Hei Chan was using him as a human shield.
Gunfire was relentless.
Seeing Three Eyes rooted to the spot at the doorway, Hei Chan urged anxiously, "Boss, go inside!"
"Bang bang bang..."
Gaoliang trembled again.
"He’s going to die!" In his impatience, Hei Chan couldn’t care less about the boss’s authority; supporting the bloodied Gaoliang, he squeezed toward the inside of the room, only to see a body lying face down on the ground.
Although he couldn’t see the face, Hei Chan easily recognized the slightly stooped back.
Hei Chan’s heartbeat skipped a half-beat, then he instinctively looked up.
All he saw was a blurred flare of light spinning towards him, which also happened to be the last color he’d see in this life.
"Bang!"
He knelt on the ground, a shocking hole in his forehead, slowly falling forward, ending up lying across Camel’s back.
The two brothers, at least, had managed not to seek the same year, same month, same day of birth, but managed to die on the same day.
Without Hei Chan’s support, Gaoliang, already riddled with bullets, had nowhere to hide.
The two female bodyguards inside the room showed no mercy, their hearts even colder than men’s. Their outstretched arms didn’t tremble in the least as they coldly and decisively continued to pull the trigger.
Not just his back, this time Gaoliang’s chest was also riddled with holes. He struggled to turn his head, probably wanting to say something to Three Eyes, but in the end, he wasn’t able to.
The carpet had long been stained red with blood.
The narrow doorway was now piled with five corpses.
All the bodyguards had arrived.
Watching his brothers fall one after another, Three Eyes’s face twitched. He didn’t rush foolishly to avenge them; instead, he looked at the guns pointing from the hallway of the room and "click" a butterfly knife fell from his hand to the carpet.
He knelt down on his knees, hands over his head, "I surrender!"
Indeed, a wise man submits to circumstance.
"Mr. Jiang, it’s dangerous, please go back to your room."
Of course, Jiang Chen inevitably heard the commotion and walked out from inside the room, then he saw the scene of Three Eyes kneeling on the ground.
The bodyguards blocked him, not letting him get close.
At the doorway,
It was a river of blood.
Most people would probably be scared out of their wits, but the battle-hardened Jiang Chen didn’t panic and pondered as he calmly watched Three Eyes with his hands over his head.
The opponent had already thrown away his weapon.
The bodyguards also stopped shooting.
Inside the room.
Noticing the silence, Vera walked out from the bedroom and saw the bodies at the door, frowning.
Then,
She saw the two dead bodyguards.
"Miss."
The female bodyguard approached, apparently seeking instructions.
Vera’s gaze was cold as she looked towards the kneeling assassin outside the room, who had completely given up resistance and posed no threat; from her delicate lips, she coldly uttered three words, "Kill him."
The other female bodyguard quickly raised her arm again.
In the hallway,
Jiang stood on the outskirts, watching two bodyguards move forward to restrain the sole survivor, but only got halfway there when another gunshot was heard from inside the room.
The bullet entered through Three Eyes’s temple and tore through his brain, a horrifying display of marksmanship that didn’t give him any chance of survival. He lay sideways on the hallway, face against the carpet, like his brothers, eyes wide open, probably unable to understand even in death.
Weren’t we supposed to fight with cold weapons?
How did it turn into a firefight?
The bodyguards stopped, showed no reaction, and quickly started to clean up the scene.
Jiang stood alone in the hallway like a bystander, looking up at the open ventilation duct.
