Chapter 591: 498 Unfinished Movie (Asking for Monthly Tickets!)

"What are you looking at?"

On an international flight over the East Sea.

A flight attendant walked by, her classic sheer stockings and short skirt drawing away Jiang Chen’s gaze.

It just so happened that Li Shuru caught this scene.

"I think she looks familiar."

Jiang Chen’s eyes returned to his own space, not rushing to deny it, but the explanation he offered seemed a bit far-fetched.

Beauty, I think we’ve met somewhere before.

What a classic pick-up line of a sea king?

Li Shuru had experienced it countless times before.

"Then shall I call her over so you can take a closer look?"

Li Shuru, the beauty of the academy, was not a petty person. Not only was she not angry, she even smiled as she spoke.

In the eyes of ordinary people, being a flight attendant may seem like a glamorous job, but really it’s just a service position.

Especially for first-class passengers.

Jiang Chen cleared his throat.

"No need for that."

Bai Haoran’s seat was behind Jiang Chen, and at that moment, he was resting with an eye mask on.

Jiang Chen obviously would not do something like fly first class while letting his wife’s friend travel in economy.

"Come on, maybe you really do know each other,"

Jiang Chen forced a smile, unaware that Li Shuru would indeed call over the tall flight attendant.

"Hello, what can I do for you?"

Fluent and standard English.

Don’t assume all flight attendants are just pretty faces that get by on their looks.

To serve in first class, especially on international flights, looks are far from sufficient. These prestigious passengers often come from all over the world, and to serve them well, at a minimum, one must be fluent in English, and some are even proficient in several foreign languages.

"A glass of water for me."

Li Shuru asked as if it were nothing, using Chinese.

Upon hearing this, the young flight attendant, who was half-bowing, quickly switched to Chinese and revealed a flawless, graceful smile, "Certainly, please wait a moment."

"Oh, and bring one for him too,"

Li Shuru added, referring to Jiang Chen, of course.

The highly professional flight attendant glanced at Jiang Chen.

Jiang Chen also observed her, staring at her face without any concealment.

Seemingly accustomed to such scrutiny, the flight attendant’s smile didn’t change as she nodded again.

"See clearly?"

After the flight attendant left, Li Shuru asked again.

Jiang Chen, ever the straightforward man, pondered, "I really think she resembles a classmate from my high school days."

"Your desk mate?"

Jiang Chen chuckled helplessly and shook his head, "No, she was in the class next door."

"Still remember her now, was she your crush?" Li Shuru’s tone was still devoid of fuss.

"You think I’m like you?"

Jiang Chen remembered that Li Shuru had a senior in high school who was more than a friend but not quite a lover.

"I didn’t have the energy to think about love and romance in high school. All I cared about was getting into a good college."

Had it been any other girl, she might have been angered by such a comment, but not Li Shuru.

Different ways of thinking yield vastly different feelings.

The fact that the other party remembered every word she said meant he cared about her.

And since she openly talked about the past that night, it indicated she no longer held any feelings for that subtle affection from the past.

No lingering feelings, hence no grudges.

"Then how come she doesn’t recognize you at all?"

"Maybe she just looks similar."

Jiang Chen said earnestly.

It was true.

In the vast sea of people, it was common to find similar faces, let alone after several years.

"Your water."

Within two to three minutes, the flight attendant returned with two glasses of water, handing one to Li Shuru.

"Thank you."

However, as the other glass was being handed to Jiang Chen, an accident occurred. Jiang Chen reached out to take it, but the flight attendant seemed to tremble, tilting the glass and spilling a significant amount of water onto Jiang Chen.

"I’m sorry, let me wipe it off for you..."

The flight attendant quickly apologized, pulling out a handkerchief and bending down to wipe Jiang Chen’s clothes.

With no turbulence or bumps on the plane, such a low-level mistake was unacceptable.

If a complaint from a first-class passenger were to be made, this flight attendant could very well lose her hard-earned job.

But Jiang Chen was not the type to be harsh or overly critical. He stood up.

"No need."

Then he said to Li Shuru, "I’ll go to the restroom."

Li Shuru held her glass of water and nodded.

Jiang Chen left.

"I really am sorry,"

The flight attendant immediately bowed and apologized to Li Shuru as well.

"It’s all right."

Li Shuru replied gently.

The flight attendant cleaned up the water on the seat and quickly left.

In the restroom.

Jiang Chen pulled out tissues to dry the water on his clothes. Fortunately, it was just water, not a drink, and would dry naturally soon enough.

After washing his hands, he opened the door and stepped out of the restroom, planning to return to his seat and happened to run into the flight attendant again.

The flight attendant, not looking at him, went to the food cabinet, probably to deliver food to other passengers.

"Tong Dan."

Jiang Chen called out.

The flight attendant acted as if she hadn’t heard, not turning around.

Jiang Chen smiled.

"Is this the level of service on your flights? It seems I need to have a serious talk with your chief attendant."

Facing this reaction, the flight attendant finally turned around.

"Sir, may I help you with something?"

"I thought I had mistaken someone for you just now. Not bad, you graduated recently, right? To be a first-class flight attendant, that’s impressive."

"Sir, do you need anything?"

The flight attendant asked in a formulaic manner. Besides a professional respect, there was no other emotion; it was as if she didn’t hear anything Jiang Chen was saying.
