Chapter 1109: 766 is late

KFC.

Two burly men were no longer so aggressive.

Uncertain about the woman’s background, they cautiously retreated from the table to the staircase on the second floor for safety.

If she really was a friend of the boss, this wouldn’t be seen as offensive, and since the stairs were the only passage, there was no worry that she would run away with the lady.

"Aunt Hu Die, don’t worry, I won’t betray you."

Knowing that her mother might discover them, the little girl whispered with her baby-fat cute face looking very serious, her sworn assurance was almost comically earnest.

The woman named Hu Die pinched her little face and whispered back like sharing a secret, "Thank you, Yao Yao."

They stepped back a bit, but the two burly men still closely watched their every move.

Their close interactions, big and small, were completely within their sight.

The two men looked at each other, their eyes filled with puzzled uncertainty.

Undoubtedly.

The lady definitely knew that woman.

And it seemed like they were on very good terms.

Could it really be a misunderstanding?

Downstairs.

Two cars sped up and arrived.

Before they could completely stop, Yu Hui pushed the car door open, eagerly alighted, and quickly walked toward KFC.

Without flaunting any intimidating presence, Luo Han who had hurriedly arrived after inquiring also got out of the car and looked up towards the second floor.

By the glass window.

He could see a ’harmonious’ scene of his daughter sitting across from a woman, eating and chatting.

Luo Han withdrew his gaze and followed behind Yu Hui.

After entering KFC, the once most beautiful hostess of Zhongjiang headed straight to the second floor. Only when she climbed up and saw her daughter safe and sound did her heart finally settle.

She was no ordinary woman.

She paused at the stair entrance for a moment to catch her breath, then walked towards them unhurriedly.

"Boss."

Luo Han also climbed to the second floor.

The two burly men stood straight, slightly bowing.

Luo Han’s face was expressionless.

"You two, leave for now."

Immediately.

He walked towards that table.

The two burgeoning men hesitated not, and turned to go downstairs.

Her head was suddenly touched by someone; the little girl who was whispering to the aunt unconsciously looked up, definitely being quite clever, she immediately flashed a radiant smile and called out, "Mommy!"

"Eating out, why didn’t you tell Mommy?"

With no severe blame, Yu Hui’s face also wore a smile. Simultaneously, she looked towards the woman sitting across, who had her worried for two hours.

The woman showed no guilt or panic, nodding with a smile at the once most beautiful hostess of Zhongjiang.

"Mommy, don’t blame Aunt Hu Die, I asked her to bring me here."

Though young, the little girl was remarkably trustworthy, promptly taking all the responsibility upon herself, a feat that could put many adults to shame.

"Mommy isn’t blaming you, but when you and Aunt Hu Die eat out, you should tell Mommy, otherwise she will worry too much."

Luo Han’s voice rang out.

Upon hearing this, Yu Hui immediately fell silent.

Honestly, she didn’t recognize this "Aunt Hu Die" that her daughter spoke of, but she knew that she had no authority in this matter.

"Daddy!"

Seeing Luo Han approach, the little girl looked surprised and immediately jumped up from her chair.

Children don’t act.

Even though Luo Han had committed many wrongs, even being utterly reprehensible, to his own daughter, he seemed to be a competent father.

"When did you come back?!"

"I just got back today, was planning to have a meal with you and Mommy; didn’t expect you had run out with Aunt Hu Die."

Luo Han patted his daughter’s head.

Yu Hui looked at him, then at the woman, standing by her daughter’s side, silently.

"Long time no see."

Luo Han raised his head and greeted the woman who caused him to mobilize his resources.

The woman sitting there, still as calm as ever, responded with a faint smile, gentle and beautiful.

"Indeed, it’s been a while."

She then looked at the young girl, "I thought Yao Yao might not remember me."

Even if it was a false alarm, for anyone, having a child taken away silently would cause some emotional reaction, not to mention for someone like Luo Han.

But astonishingly, this powerful figure, capable of life and death decisions, displayed an exceptionally magnanimous demeanor at this moment.

"It seems Yao Yao has a good impression of Miss Hu, that’s why she remembers so clearly."

Naturally casual.

Yet it seemed profoundly meaningful.

Hearing this, Yu Hui immediately dismissed the speculations in her mind.

Clearly.

This woman definitely wasn’t her daughter’s father’s lover.

For this woman, the man beside her was merely a tool, or rather, an object; it was impossible for her to receive such respect.

"Miss Hu comes to Jiang, why not inform us in advance?"

"Just passing through."

The woman named Hu Die watched the little girl with a smile, "Also, Yao Yao mentioned, you went abroad for this New Year."

Luo Han quieted down, his eyes seemed to change, yet it seemed they did not.

The woman stood up.

"Well, you’ve just come back, so I won’t disturb your family reunion."

She left her seat, bent down, and touched the little girl’s head.

"Yao Yao, auntie is leaving now, I will visit you again next time."

The little girl, very sensible, with eyes as beautiful as her mother’s, said, "Goodbye, Aunt Hu Die."

The woman’s smile was gentle, she touched the girl’s hair again, stood up straight, and looked at Luo Han, who commands with undeniable authority in this city.

"I really envy you, having such a well-behaved daughter."

Luo Han remained silent.

Miss Hu Die, after that, politely smiled at Yu Hui, then headed towards the staircase, leaving behind a faint trace of her perfume.

The woman who stirred up half the city, thus left with great dignity.

Yu Hui took her daughter’s hand.

"Mommy, are you angry?"

The little girl looked up.

Yu Hui shook her head with a smile, "No, mommy will never be angry with Yao Yao."

"Aunt Hu Die is very nice, mommy, don’t blame her."

The little girl whispered softly, seeming to realize her actions had worried her parents.

"Are you full?"

Yu Hui tactfully didn’t answer.

The girl nodded and then shook her head.

Yu Hui was amused by her daughter’s cuteness, "If you haven’t eaten enough, mommy will cook for you at home."

"Okay!"

The little girl nodded vigorously, then grabbed her father’s hand, "Daddy will join us!"

For a typical family, a reunion is commonplace, but for her, they are few and far between.

Yu Hui looked up at the biological father of her child.

This time, she didn’t ask the questions she shouldn’t, and restrained the smile she showed in front of her daughter.

"Arrange plane tickets for us, we leave tomorrow."

Luo Han, who had urged her to take her daughter abroad as soon as possible not long ago, did not respond, just turned his head.

Outside the glass window.

Hu Die had already left the KFC.

The subordinates waiting outside watched her get into the car parked on the roadside, and without orders, naturally did not intervene.

Watching the car drive away, Luo Han’s eyes were lifeless, he silently muttered.

"Too late."
