I Got A Title: Lord Of The Time!
Chapter 76: Kill the Monster!

Chapter 76: Kill the Monster!

Five people were fully focused on their senses and ready at any moment to shout out if the Distorted creature was heading their way!

At that very moment, Egro widened his eyes and shouted to everyone:

"It’s coming! Aran, it’s just a few meters from you!"

Aran reacted instantly to Egro’s words and vanished from his spot as if he had never been there!

Bang!

In the place where Aran had stood, a massive brown worm appeared, lifting its body five meters into the air!

"Yulan! Use your skill!" Silia shouted and activated her skill: "Touch of Cold" to freeze a large part of the worm!

Yulan nodded and pointed her right hand at the worm, using her skill: "Charge", which could paralyze any target for twenty seconds.

"After leveling up the skill, the original ten seconds became twenty," she thought.

"Aaaargh!!" the worm roared from Yulan’s skill and tried to burrow back underground, but Silia approached it and froze half of its body — in blue ice!

"Perfect!" Silia smiled and swung her sword, which could easily cut through the ice!

Whoosh!

The blade sliced through the blue ice like tofu and cut the worm in two!

Whoosh!

She made another swing and cut through the other frozen part of the worm!

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

Silia launched multiple attacks on the frozen section of the worm, literally chopping it apart like a meat grinder!

"Aaaargh!!!" The Distorted creature roared with unimaginable rage that couldn’t even be measured — and slowly collapsed with a loud crash!

Boom!

Silia was breathing heavily and slowly fell to the ground, looking at the mess she had made out of the worm and sighing.

"That wasn’t so hard... I thought..." she looked at the fallen part of the worm and didn’t see it!

It was gone!

"What?..!" she quickly looked around and saw the creature was just a meter away from Yulan’s head!

Whoosh!

Aran appeared and used his dagger to slice part of the worm’s mouth, then kicked its body, sending it flying a safe distance from Yulan’s head!

"T-thank you..." Yulan murmured quietly, thanking Aran for saving her.

Aran smiled slightly and winked at her, then vanished again from the spot!

Bang!

The large worm’s body crashed to the ground and was about to burrow again when the surrounding area lit up with golden light and Royal appeared, staring at it like a corpse.

He raised his golden two-handed sword, which due to its radiance looked like a solid mass of golden light, and brought it down!

"Die!"

Whoosh!

A golden crescent flashed through the air and fell upon the brown worm with tremendous speed!

"Aaaargh!!!" The Distorted creature let out one final roar in its life and was instantly cleaved in two by Royal’s sword!

The Stone Worm was dead!

Royal snorted coldly, and as his skill deactivated, he looked up at the sky in surprise and shouted:

"W-what is this... How are alien ships appearing in the Magic World?!"

Aran appeared next to Royal and slapped him hard!

Slap!

"Get a grip, Royal. Although... you can keep seeing aliens, and I’ll keep slapping you!"

Aran raised his palm and was about to slap Royal again when Royal looked at him seriously and said:

"Don’t. I’m fine."

Aran awkwardly smiled and quickly stepped back.

Silia, Egro, and Yulan approached the dead worm and were amazed — this was the first Distorted creature of Monster rank they had killed!

Lin, who had already regained his memory, looked at the dead creature and asked:

"And where’s the brain in this worm?"

Silia was about to answer, but Royal spoke first and explained:

"Worms don’t have a distinct organ that can be called a "brain". Their nervous system is spread throughout the body."

"So, the Low Soul Shard could be in any part of the worm?"

Royal nodded.

"Exactly. We need to check every part of its body to see if there’s a Low Soul Shard or a Monstrous Chest inside."

"Let Silia’s group check the parts on the surface. Me, Lin, and Aran will take the ones underground."

Everyone nodded and got to work.

Silia’s group — consisting of her, Egro, and Yulan — began cutting through the worm’s body on the surface. Royal’s group — consisting of him, Lin, and Aran — began dissecting the parts buried underground.

The task didn’t take long, and after a few minutes, Silia’s group had completely chopped the worm into small pieces, but unfortunately, they found nothing but its flesh.

Meanwhile, Royal’s group was nearly done as well. Their task was harder than Silia’s since the worm’s body was buried underground.

Lin was deep beneath the surface, continuing to dig through the worm’s body, getting covered in its flesh with every movement. But he didn’t care — his goal was the Low Soul Shard!

Suddenly, he felt a strange hard surface.

Lin immediately smiled and pulled out the object he had found!

Lin looked at the purple crystal in his hand and said:

"I found it... I found the Low Soul Shard."

Aran and Royal, who were resting above, quickly looked down and saw in Lin’s hand — a beautiful, multifaceted, purple crystal that was extremely valuable.

Aran laughed and said:

"Y’know, it would’ve been better if it hadn’t been found. Because now the real question is — who gets it?"

Lin climbed out of the pit and said seriously:

"I think it should go to the one who contributed the most to the team," Lin looked at everyone and continued: "Meaning — me."

Royal said nothing and simply nodded, since Lin had indeed saved him. His contribution was undeniable.

Yulan and Egro also said nothing — their contributions to the battle were less than the others.

There were only three people who had made the biggest contributions: Lin, Aran, and Silia.

Lin — for saving everyone when the Distorted creature first appeared. Aran — for saving Yulan and dealing significant damage to the creature. Silia — for inflicting the most damage, though she nearly paid for it afterward.

Silia looked carefully at Lin and Aran and sighed, realizing she couldn’t compete with them in any way. She raised one finger and calmly said:

"I can step out of this... But on one condition..."

Aran smiled and asked:

"And what would that be? Don’t tell me you’ll make us kiss?"

"No. Though that’s not a bad suggestion either," she shook her head and continued: "There will be a duel. You two will fight — using everything."

Lin frowned and clarified:

"How many rounds?"

"One," she smiled.

Aran laughed and agreed:

"I’m in!"

Lin smiled slightly and nodded.

"Me too."

He handed the Low Soul Shard to Royal and took a significant distance from Aran.

"This will be a perfect fight to assess their current skills and abilities..." she looked at Lin and Aran and then shouted:

"You may begin!"
