[Now proceeding to the Foreign Domain]

In his field of vision, tyrannical and cruel words surfaced and then vanished, and soon, Kuwei was enveloped and entwined by luminous, otherworldly colors that did not belong to his world. When all faded away, Kuwei finally saw everything clearly before him.

He first felt an unusual sensation.

This was the earth.

In the legends of Misty City, this hard substance was the basic component of the earth, but it had been a long time since anyone from Misty City had delved into the deepest reaches of the mist to explore the earth.

In those depths, monsters lurking in the mist would devour all living beings—they were part of the mist itself.

Kuwei then saw colors.

Unlike the long-standing gray mist hues of Misty City, the colors here were vibrant and varied, with flashes of lightning-like light. The tall buildings were like palaces in the sea of clouds, towering and closely packed.

He saw on the streets, the “humans” with flesh and blood and different appearances from his own, bustling about. Kuwei had encountered many of these humans in previous missions and had killed many by his own hand. During the lengthy missions, Kuwei came to understand the development of these humans in different Foreign Domains.

They might have experienced destruction, or might have been contaminated and eroded, but the majority of human civilizations that Kuwei had seen still retained their sanity and hope, starkly different from the progressively decaying Misty City.

If those civilizations were like the sun rising, then without a doubt, Misty City was like the sun setting.

Some emotion brewed within him through mission after mission, and even Kuwei, normally as indifferent as the city’s fog, felt this sentiment.

If he hadn’t become a Chosen by Gods, hadn’t come into contact with the Foreign Domain, then Kuwei might have spent his entire life in the haze of confusion like an ordinary Misty City person.

But he hadn’t.

He had come to the Foreign Domain, touched upon other forms of civilization, and then Kuwei’s spirit collapsed.

So, life in Misty City wasn’t beautiful after all.

So, there were places with real sunshine, nightfall, and the fragrance of birds and flowers.

If Kuwei had never seen such beauty, he could have endured the nothingness of Misty City.

But having witnessed all that, and having actually destroyed some things with his own hands, he understood the meaning of his existence.

If he could not save Misty City, then let all worlds suffer from Pollution.

He could unseal the Evil God, slaughter innocent people in villages, tempt the corrupt, subvert civilizations. With Pollution in his grasp, he could do anything.

After completing many tasks in the Foreign Domain, Kuwei finally qualified to take on Sublimation difficulty missions.

From what he understood, at this level of difficulty, he would not only encounter things that might cause Mutation but also possibly come into direct or indirect contact with Ancient Overlords, Ancient Gods, and the like.

Pollution was no longer a concern for Kuwei. He compared and concluded that the Pollution that Misty City endured would definitely be considered strong in the Foreign Domains he had visited, so the Pollution of most worlds wouldn’t affect him.

Below the [Metamorphosis] difficulty, Kuwei almost always had it easy—after all, it was just about going somewhere, killing a few people, or taking some things.

Later he encountered opposing Chosen by Gods. The difficulty was decent, and Kuwei witnessed the cunning side of those humans. However, under the combat capabilities honed in Misty City, those Chosen by Gods only met with painful death.

Now, this mission, Sublimation difficulty, made Kuwei very curious about what he would encounter.

His appearance should have already changed to resemble that of a human; no one around him could recognize him.

Although Kuwei was eager to take action immediately and kill a few people to test his blade, he wasn’t a fool. If this Foreign Domain could carry the difficulty of “Sublimation,” then there must be powerful Transcendents, even Evil Gods stationed here. Acting rashly, indulging in a moment of pleasure, he might find himself suppressed and turned to ash by those big shots in the next second.

He looked toward a wall, where the garish promotional posters twisted and formed into the System’s brutal and cruel text.

[Find Jiangcheng Cinema: 0/1]

[Watch a movie: 0/1]

[Survive: 0/1]

What a movie was, Kuwei was not very clear about, but he had seen some references in the System Store and could roughly understand that it was something similar to a play; in any case, just watch and it’s all set.

Could it be that some strange events will occur in this play, with monsters invading?

Kuwei glanced at his reflection in the glass, looking utterly ordinary, just like any other passerby you might see anywhere.

In his eyes, the text of the Foreign Domain translated itself into a form he recognized, and without much effort, he found the location of Jiangcheng Cinema.

“The humans of this Foreign Domain are the most advanced and least polluted I have ever seen; it’s hard to imagine that such a Foreign Domain could exist.”

Walking on the street, Kuwei muttered to himself.

He noticed a woman by his side watching him, her expression strange, probably because she heard what he had just said.

It’s not a problem.

“However, in such a highly interactive environment, there’s not a shred of secrecy, which allowed me to easily find the movie theater’s location. If the Pollution were to spread, it would happen quickly, wouldn’t it?”

Kuwei pondered.

For many Foreign Domains, the difficulty in spreading Pollution is a major issue.

In the less developed Foreign Domains, where transportation is poor and information is delayed, the spread of Pollution is slow. Sometimes, an entire village turns into a village of madmen, even starting to consume each other, while other places remain oblivious.

In a sense, this is also a self-protection mechanism of the Foreign Domains.

But in this Foreign Domain, information exchange is extremely developed, and ordinary people can easily acquire knowledge. If Pollution appeared here, the spread would be within minutes.

How did such a Foreign Domain manage to survive and develop to this day?

To develop like this, it certainly needs a long time to dissolve the Pollution brought by knowledge, right? How has it not caused any serious harm over such a long period?

Kuwei, looking at the teeming crowd on the streets, watching their happy smiles, felt uncomfortable all over.

The impulse to destroy this place, to turn it into ruins, to turn those smiling children into a group of mad monsters, took over Kuwei’s mind.

An hour later, he arrived at Jiangcheng Cinema.

Here, he saw some strange fellows.

Some dressed as armored Mages that Kuwei had seen before, some as those desert wanderers he had encountered, and others in monster costumes, albeit only resembling in shape.

“They actually have so much knowledge about different Foreign Domains and still look unaffected by major Pollution, maintaining their Sanity; it’s quite strange,”

While mocking these people for not knowing what they were dressed as, Kuwei was also in awe.

Following what the people beside him were doing, he approached the ticket window and said to the ticket seller.

“I want a ticket for ‘Nine Streams.’
