“They believed that humans had successfully left the planet and gone to a new home, but we were originally created to serve humans and didn’t know how to act without them.”

“But I believed that humans would definitely come back.”

he suggested.

“Then you can come with us when the time comes; we are human after all,”

Lu Ban continued, realizing there would be no way to bring so many robots back to his world with Foreign Domain. It would, however, be possible to have these robots follow Shuangxin back to Utopia, where perhaps the Saint could find a way for the robots to continue operating.

“This… I need to consult the manual; this is not covered in it.”

Lin was surprised, confused, and at a loss.

“Think it over, and give us your answer when we return tomorrow,”

Lu Ban gently touched her head.

Artificial hair felt so real.

He reflected inwardly.

Early in the morning, before dawn, the group of four left the ecological garden, armed with a map and riding on camel bugs, heading towards the industrial park.

Lu Ban saw Lin standing at the entrance of the ecological garden, bending over to see them off until they disappeared from sight, yet she still hadn’t stood up.

Seven kilometers wasn’t considered far.

At noon, when the sun was most scorching, Lu Ban saw something unusual outside of the desert.

“What is this?”

Shuangxin carefully observed, slightly shielding her eyes from the sunlight.

It was a tall and massive framework which should have been holding something, but it was empty.

Beside the structure, buildings stood densely packed, each of different shapes.

Spreading out from there was a cluster of buildings already in disrepair.

This must be the industrial park.

Lu Ban took a careful look but found no trace of the swarm.

“Shall we go in to explore?”

Shuangxin asked uncertainly.

“Same old rules, Shuangxin and I will go,”

Lu Ban said, unwilling to take any risks, he decided to lead the way.
