Chapter 463: 462. Rule ①_1 Chapter 463: 462. Rule ①_1 “He’s dead???”

Shia looked at Lu Ban, who had been torn into bloody flesh, somewhat astonished.

But for some reason, she didn’t feel worried, as if she knew Lu Ban was fine.

“He’s not that easy to kill, at least if I’m still standing here, then he’s definitely fine.”

More eyeballs spread over Feng Yu’s body, these eyes crisscrossing and watching the Time Worm, preventing it from attacking Feng Yu and Shia.

“Won’t it run away?”

Shia was a bit uneasy.

“This is a bit hard to explain, but the Time Worm has a strong hostility toward things that become aware of its existence. If something doesn’t hide well and clean up after itself, they will continue to attack the target relentlessly.”

Feng Yu explained, then looked at the cart heading towards the restaurant.

“The ultimate goal of these creatures is probably to disappear from the memories of all Foreign Domains, achieving the effect of completely erasing their existence. In this way, even Pollution and those grand beings will ignore them, allowing their species to survive.”

“But the Foreign Domain is vast, their stories are still passed down.”

Shia remarked, then saw the worker in red push Lu Ban into the souvenir shop next to the restaurant.

“Should we go and check the situation?”

She was still somewhat worried.

“It’s not a big problem.”

Lu Ban’s voice suddenly came from behind Shia, startling her.

“How could you…”

She clearly saw Lu Ban torn to shreds, just pushed into the restaurant, how could he suddenly reappear here?

“Although I can’t completely stop death, this thing still allows me not to die suddenly within a short time.”

Lu Ban pulled open his collar, revealing that his flesh was still in a freshly sutured state, green plants were continuously entwining, knitting his body back together, while the text on his skin was gradually fading. For humans, the effects of “Testament” weren’t so strong and even written on Lu Ban’s body, it would fade after some time.

“How about you?”

Feng Yu seemed to have known that Lu Ban was alright, she asked.

“I just tried to leave, and a worker said I hadn’t played all the attractions, so he made his move.”

Lu Ban explained, then thought for a moment.

“Shia, you stay at the entrance, don’t let any tourists leave, even if it means using force.”

“Okay.”

Shia nodded.

Lu Ban then headed towards the haunted house.

“It seems we have to play all the attractions before we can leave; the mission requires it too. I don’t know if we have played these attractions after encountering the Time Worm, but it seems, the ‘me’ now is in a state of not having done those attractions.”

As Lu Ban walked, he wrote a line on a sticky note with a common pen.

[Rules① You must play all the attractions before leaving the amusement park]

Writing this, Lu Ban also recalled the Time Worm. Perhaps because of this rule, it could not leave the amusement park, and if other tourists who chanced into the park tried to leave abruptly, it would just lead to there being not a single living person left in the park, or the tourists would play all the attractions and leave.

Thus, the Time Worm, in order to prolong its existence and steal time, would take the time from every tourist preparing to leave the park, forcing them to stay inside.

Because the Time Worm cannot understand the strange Rules, it has no way to stop the strange death occurrences, not knowing under what circumstances tourists can leave normally or how they would die.

But whether leaving normally or dying, both are bad for the Time Worm.

So now, the Time Worm and the park’s Rules have formed a vicious cycle.

The tourists cannot touch the park’s Rules to leave or die; they will just play endlessly in this amusement park.

And the park’s strangeness continues to draw outsiders in – once they come in, they are bound here, unable to escape.

Of course, now that the Time Worm was under control, it was inevitable that some tourists would try to leave. To prevent any accidents, Lu Ban had Shia block everyone.

Having played through the haunted house with an expressionless face, Lu Ban then went through other attractions like the Ferris wheel. According to the handbook, only the evening parade remained.

He decided to head back to the entrance of the amusement park.

“?”

However, upon reaching the entrance, Lu Ban noticed there was a problem.

In front of Shia lay a dozen or so tourists, all of whom had fallen into a deep sleep, unable to move.

“These are all tourists who were trying to leave. I ‘persuaded’ them forcefully.”

Shia clenched her fist.

Lu Ban hoped that she had used magic to persuade them rather than physical persuasion.

Some commotion had already started within the amusement park. Initially, the tourists thought Shia’s act was some sort of performance, but as the number of people lying down grew, panic set in. Some visitors brought over staff to confront Shia.

“Miss, please don’t disturb the other guests…”

The staff member dressed in yellow was knocked out by a punch from Shia and fell to the ground.

“So they can be hit.”

Shia curled her lip, realizing that if they could be hit, it meant they had health bars. And if they had health bars, things would be easier.

“Wait a second.”

Lu Ban stopped Shia and woke up the staff member in yellow.

“Hello, I’m actually a huge fan of your amusement park. I really, really want to see the parade, could you arrange for it to start right now?”

Lu Ban spoke in a friendly tone.

Meanwhile, Shia behind him clenched her fist.

“No, no problem… I’ll arrange it right away!”

The staff member scrambled up and ran towards the distance, passing through the crowd of onlookers.

Before long, the announcement that the grand parade was about to begin was broadcasted.

The onlooking tourists, wary of Shia’s fist, also dispersed to watch the parade.

Lu Ban, standing on the sidewalk as an onlooker, noticed that apart from the toy bear, the other performers were all very enthusiastic. He wasn’t sure if these staff members were part of the strangeness.

When the parade ended, Lu Ban went back to the entrance of the amusement park.

He took two steps forward and saw a staff member in a red uniform blocking his way.

“Good evening, are you looking to leave now, sir?”

The staff member asked with a trademark smile.

“Yes, I’ve played all the attractions and am ready to leave this place.”

Lu Ban answered and took another step forward.

That’s when the staff member in red suddenly grabbed Lu Ban’s shoulder.

“Sir, you haven’t played all the attractions yet. Please make sure to experience everything before leaving, okay?”

“…I’ve played through all the attractions.”

Lu Ban glanced at the tourist handbook; he had been to all the marked attractions.

“Please enjoy all the attractions before departing, and fully take pleasure in what the amusement park has to offer.”

The staff member in red maintained a commercial smile while persuading.
