I Became The Vampire Progenitor -
Chapter 209-1: The Battle Between the Bronze Cyclops and the Newborn King (Part 1)
A fight was about to break out.
Hovering in the air with his bat wings extended, Li De watched with excitement as Kosso roared toward the sky and Castro dove downward.
He wasn't the least bit concerned about the battle between Kosso and Castro.
Because Castro’s attack had been his command.
Ever since Kosso had evolved into a Bronze Cyclops, he hadn’t fought again. Though Li De knew Kosso was powerful, he had no idea just how powerful.
He also wanted to assess Castro’s combat strength.
This newborn king of bats needed a worthy opponent to test its true weight.
Two birds with one stone.
With a wingspan of sixteen blades, Castro’s plummet from a thousand meters above exerted pressure even on the massive Bronze Cyclops, Kosso.
That huge single eye was locked tightly on the descending figure.
Muscles coiled like compressed springs, overflowing strength surging throughout his body, ready to unleash a deadly strike at any moment.
But what surprised Kosso was that, at just over a hundred blades from the ground, the giant unknown beast suddenly opened its maw.
Boom boom boom!
A barrage of fiery, explosive fireballs roared out in a frenzy.
Enhanced Gatling Fireball.
At Level 15, Castro had already acquired the ability of dual casting, and he unleashed Li De’s modified version of Small Fireball at a rate of 12 shots per second.
Utterly absurd.
It looked like a dragon’s breath, flames gushing wildly.
The only difference: Castro was casting magic, while a dragon’s breath was innate.
Over twelve fireballs per second slammed down with burning, explosive force. Dah-dah-dah! The massive Kosso had no time to dodge.
A wave of heat instantly spiked the temperature across dozens of blades around him.
While his powerful body granted immense strength, it also made Kosso less agile.
Yet Kosso felt no fear. Cyclopes were known for absurdly high magic resistance. After evolving into a Bronze Cyclops, ordinary spells no longer even fazed him.
He dared to endure even dragon breath head-on, what was some petty magic to him?
His eye was locked dead on the fast-approaching figure.
A flicker of savagery flashed through it. The wild nature of the Cyclops was awakening.
Now!
When Castro closed in to just 30 blades above, Kosso suddenly charged forward a few steps. With massive force, he stomped the earth and leapt up. The ground shook under his launch.
It was a breathtaking sight, his towering seven-blade frame soaring into the air, slamming toward the airborne Castro.
The descending bat king, gleaming with bronze luster, showed no fear.
Two powerful beings collided midair.
BOOOOM!
Kosso’s iron shovel smashed into Castro’s abdomen, tearing open a deep wound and spraying blood. Yet Castro’s terrifying defense shattered the shovel on impact, robbing Kosso of his only weapon.
Castro felt searing pain, but didn't back down.
When magic failed, he lashed out with his razor-sharp claws, digging deeply into Kosso’s shoulders, sharper than a warrior’s spear, even Kosso’s thick, durable hide couldn’t stop them.
The intense pain made Kosso’s cyclopean eye glow with a faint bronze hue, his Bronze Cyclops bloodline was raging, and greater power was awakening.
Kosso’s powerful arms clamped down on Castro’s wings, a savage burst of strength erupting, he was trying to tear Castro apart.
Unable to flap his wings, Castro grew furious, claws ripping wildly, inflicting even more damage on Kosso.
Blood sprayed through the sky like a rainstorm, and the battlefield turned into a chaotic mess.
But the hardy Bronze Cyclops didn’t care about such wounds. Instead, the pain enraged Kosso even more. His steel-like muscles bulged, compressed like countless springs ready to explode.
The terrifying force made Castro feel his body being wrenched apart, his wings seemed on the verge of being ripped from his back.
In a brief clash, the two came crashing down from the sky like twin meteors.
BOOOOM!
The surrounding ground erupted into flying debris.
One of the mine shafts even collapsed under the shockwave.
A wave of gray dust blanketed the area in ruin.
Once Kosso landed, his momentum surged. Cyclopes were ground-based elite units, even a knight’s charge couldn’t shake them.
Castro, now grounded, had lost his aerial advantage and was immediately suppressed by Kosso.
But Castro had perfectly inherited both the Bronze Cyclops bloodline and the Vampire Progenitor bloodline, a formidable combination.
Even with Kosso’s raw strength, Castro felt no fear.
He opened his massive, fanged maw and bit down toward Kosso, his right arm suffered a massive gash from those razor teeth.
Kosso howled in pain and grabbed one of Castro’s wings with a single hand, swinging fiercely. Castro’s enormous body was flung dozens of blades away and crashed into a distant forest beyond the mining zone.
SCREECH!
Castro’s massive frame smashed through seven or eight massive trees, each requiring three people to encircle. Dirt and debris flew everywhere.
Both of them had been consciously trying to avoid damaging the mine.
Seeing this, Kosso roared and charged at full speed toward Castro, the bronze light in his eye growing stronger.
He was going to tear this enemy apart!!
Kosso’s body was now radiating the same bronze sheen as Castro’s. Most startling of all, his already towering body grew again, surging to eight blades high.
The power of the Bronze Cyclops bloodline was being awakened.
With each of Kosso’s thunderous steps, the ground quaked.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!
Trees over ten blades tall were flattened as Kosso barreled forward. Not a single one could withstand the force of his charge.
Everywhere the Bronze Cyclops passed, the ground was leveled, leaving behind a massive path of destruction.
Li De watched this scene with deep emotion. Whether it was Castro or Kosso, once the battle began, the destruction they wrought could only be described as a natural disaster.
Sure enough, in the brutal close-quarters brawl that followed, the clash grew even more savage.
Castro had tried repeatedly to seize a chance to take flight, but Kosso never gave him the opportunity, clinging to him relentlessly.
