I Became The Vampire Progenitor
Chapter 206-3: A Powerful Lifeform Undergoing Transformation (Part 3)

Harrison shook his head. “Marquis Emi, we’ve already fed it Mana-Infused Blood, but no matter how much we gave, the Whispering Bat didn’t respond.

I believe it’s not lacking in energy—or rather, if it is, it’s not lacking in ordinary energy.”

His words made Emi’s eyes light up as he turned to Li De with an intense gaze.

“Lord Progenitor, I once inadvertently entered the Divine Realm of the Knight God, where I saw a few ways that faith energy was used.

Faith energy was once used by the Knight God to raise his mount.

And isn’t faith energy a higher-level form of power?”

The conversation between the two instantly stirred Li De’s interest.

Emi, this Blasphemer, was no ordinary figure, he originally set out to study how to become a god!

Although faith energy had grown steadily with the rise of the Dawn Order, it had also shown Emi just how inscrutable it was, something that even Level 15 professionals studying legendary powers might never fully grasp.

So, for now, he had shelved his burning desire to explore godhood.

But he had never forgotten about faith energy. Even if he no longer dreamed of rapidly ascending to godhood, it still weighed heavily on his mind.

Li De deeply trusted this Blasphemer who had once set foot in the Knight God's Divine Realm.

“The Knight God used it how? Did he just pour the faith energy directly into his mount?”

Emi nodded. “The information I obtained wasn’t very clear. As for whether he used it alongside divine spells, I didn’t sense anything like that.”

He finished with a bitter smile. When it came to gods, even being able to glimpse a fragment of their workings was already a stroke of luck.

Li De nodded knowingly and didn’t press further.

After contemplating for a moment while looking at the curled-up Whispering Bat before him, he stepped forward directly.

If they didn’t try, this Whispering Bat was definitely doomed. A 99% failure rate and 100% might as well be the same, it was a death sentence either way.

Besides, this particular bat had only begun transforming because of Kosso’s blood. To him, both the bat and Kosso’s blood were renewable resources.

Even if this one died, he could always make Kosso donate more blood and try again.

As the Lord of Dawn, the resources at Li De’s disposal far exceeded what others could imagine.

Just as he was about to take action, Li De suddenly remembered, he was the Vampire Progenitor. The bloodline power he possessed was no weaker than that of any other lifeform. What would happen if he infused the Whispering Bat with his own bloodline?

This thought brought excitement to Li De’s eyes. At that moment, he was like a child curious about a chemistry experiment.

He stepped forward a few more paces. The Whispering Bat’s body was enormous, even curled up with its wings folded, it still resembled a gray mountain.

It had no fur; beneath its gray skin, bluish veins were visible.

Only its head had a bit of short fuzz. Its two ears were long and pointed, like enlarged elf ears.

Bats were warm-blooded animals, their bodies radiated warmth.

Its massive wings were folded like a cloak protecting its body, and the chillingly sharp barbs on the wing membranes could pierce a warrior’s shield.

Its gray body exuded a sense of pressure. Even though Li De was used to the Whispering Bats’ size, standing in front of such a giant still made him feel insignificant.

He shook his head, not overthinking it, and walked halfway around to the bat’s head.

Its head was resting on the ground, two pale gray nostrils exhaling warm puffs of air.

This beast, usually as terrifying as a demon, now seemed a little… adorably dopey.

Li De extended his hand, bit his finger, and then used Mage Hand to pry open the bat’s tightly shut mouth slightly, placing his blood-dripping finger inside.

Vampire Progenitor: As the progenitor of the vampires, you possess a powerful bloodline that grants immunity to sunlight. You can develop one bloodline descendant per month. All bloodline descendants and their offspring have unwavering loyalty to you, set to "fanatical devotion." Each bloodline descendant provides 1 character experience point per month.

It had been over a month since he converted the Level 15 Dark High Priest Stanley from the Evening Bell Church, his bloodline power had fully recovered by now.

While his bloodline power usually had little noticeable effect on Whispering Bats, at this crucial moment of transformation, Li De was extremely curious whether his Progenitor bloodline could aid in the process.

As he directed the flow, the mysterious force hidden within his bloodline slowly faded with the blood that flowed into the bat. Li De could clearly sense the powerful energy entering the Whispering Bat’s body.

Once the last trace of bloodline power had been transferred, Li De staggered slightly.

His face went pale, and his legs felt weak.

“Every time it feels like I had seven rounds in one night, this feeling is seriously draining…”

He muttered to himself, then opened the Whispering Bat’s attribute panel again.

“The transformation progress only went from 32% to 33%, and the success rate from 1% to 5%? That’s it?!”

Li De couldn’t help but feel a bit dejected. My legs are shaking, and you're telling me this thing hasn't even started yet?

Shaking his head, he decided to put his earlier plan on hold and turned his attention instead to faith energy.
