"You’re the one who scared me to death." Shen Lingling exaggeratedly widened her eyes, "That was Ji Liancheng who just dropped you off, right?! I saw it, it was him, right?"

"Yes, it was him."

"Are you and Ji Liancheng dating?!" Shen Lingling asked in shock.

Lin Zhi laughed, "How could that be possible? He and I have some business dealings. He has helped me out, and this time I was treating him to dinner. He just dropped me off on his way. How could I possibly date someone like him?"

"You’re not too shabby yourself." Shen Lingling chuckled, "Even if you really were together, I wouldn’t think you were beneath him. But you’re pretty amazing to have business dealings directly with Ji Liancheng himself. What are you doing? It feels like a big business."

"It’s nothing much. Right, have you just come back?" Lin Zhi changed the subject.

Upon mentioning this, Shen Lingling nodded, her expression also weary, "Yes, I’ve been job hunting. I haven’t had a job since I graduated last year; I’ve been focusing on taking care of my sister. She gave me some money each month. Now that there’s trouble at home, my sister can’t work because she has to care for her child, so it has to be me. "Yeah, I interviewed at a few places today, but I guess none of them will work out. But it’s okay, if I can’t find anything I’ll just take any job to make ends meet," Shen Lingling said optimistically.

"What did you major in?" Lin Zhi asked her.

"Accounting. My mom chose it for me because she said it was easy for girls, relaxing, and also easy to find jobs." But in reality, the well-paying jobs were hard to find.

The jobs she could find paid about three thousand a month.

"That’s a good major, what income are you hoping to earn each month?"

Shen Lingling laughed, "I’m hoping for a lot. But for now, even finding a job that pays five thousand, I’d be extremely grateful."

"Come work for me then. I just happen to need an accountant, and for now, I’ll pay you eight thousand a month. If the profits are good, I’ll give you a raise. As long as you do well, money won’t be an issue," Lin Zhi said directly.
