I Am Unaware That I Am the Peerless Martial God -
Chapter 904: Is this person in their right mind
"Yes!"
The steward bowed slightly and then headed toward the third floor.
Before long.
Yi Feng was led by the steward to the fourth floor.
"What, you called for me again?"
Without any formalities, Yi Feng plopped down directly onto the seat opposite Mei Xian'er.
"Did you catch that female scammer?"
At the mention of the scammer, Mei Xian'er's expression instantly turned unnatural, and she even choked on her water.
To prevent Yi Feng from noticing anything amiss, $2he set down her teacup and calmly replied, "Of course we caught her. She’s already been thrown off the ship."
"Impressive."Yi Feng gave Mei Xian'er a thumbs-up and stood up to leave.
First, this woman’s behavior was strange—
one moment flirting, the next joking around, leaving him utterly bewildered.
Second, he suspected she had her eyes on him ever since that over-the-shoulder throw.
So, the less interaction with her, the better.
Yet just as Yi Feng rose to leave, Mei Xian'er stopped him.
"Why the hurry to leave, Young Master Yi?"
Mei Xian'er said leisurely, "Look at this boundless sea—so beautiful. Wouldn’t it be nice to chat for a while?"
As if sensing his hesitation, she added, "Don’t worry, Young Master Yi, it’s just a simple conversation."
Yi Feng eyed her skeptically.
After a long pause, he finally sat back down.
"Might I ask where you’re headed on this voyage, Young Master Yi?" Mei Xian'er inquired softly.
"I’m going to Fengyue Island."
Yi Feng didn’t hide it and answered directly.
"Oh, Fengyue Island?" Mei Xian'er raised an eyebrow. "Fengyue Island belongs to the Fengyue Sect. Are you a member of the sect?"
"No, I’m not from the Fengyue Sect, and I’ve never been to Fengyue Island before." Yi Feng picked up the teapot, poured himself a cup, and sipped leisurely as he spoke.
"Then if you’re not from Fengyue Island, what brings you there?" Mei Xian'er asked curiously.
"Doesn’t the Fengyue Sect on Fengyue Island have some kind of legacy?" Yi Feng replied bluntly. "I’m going to try my luck with it."
"The Legacy of Death?"
At this, Mei Xian'er’s expression instantly shifted, her lips curling into a smirk. "Young Master Yi, you must not know much about this legacy. Since its existence, countless people have attempted it, and without exception, they all died during the trial. It’s rightfully called the Legacy of Death."
"With so many deaths, the entire Tianyu Region has come to believe that no one could possibly survive the legacy. Though many cultivators covet it, in reality, no one dares to touch it."
"For a hundred years now, no one has attempted it."
"Does Young Master Yi intend to be the first in a century?" Mei Xian'er frowned.
Her words were by no means praise.
Nor were they mockery—just a frank warning about the legacy’s lethality.
Yet hearing this, Yi Feng nearly grinned from ear to ear.
The captain of the Eighth Route was a big shot, right?
If even someone of her stature said so, then this Legacy of Death must truly be deadly.
"Well, I’ll still give it a shot," Yi Feng coughed lightly and chuckled.
"That’s what everyone who died inside thought too."
Mei Xian'er’s brows tightened as she spoke gravely, "Young Master Yi, you must understand—going in means certain death. To put it bluntly, you will die there. My words may sound harsh, but that’s the reality."
Yi Feng’s grin widened even further.
"Miss Mei Xian'er, your words aren’t harsh at all—in fact, they’re music to my ears."
In his excitement, he raised his teacup toward her with sincere gratitude. "Thank you for your confidence in me. If it really turns out that way, I’ll definitely bless you from beyond."
Mei Xian'er froze on the spot.
Her delicate face stiffened completely.
Thank her for her confidence?
Was this man out of his mind?
