Fang Anning followed Wen Yi and returned to the He family home.

Mrs. Chen was surprised to see her, and Fang Anning immediately explained, "Wen Yi brought me here, saying that Mr. He wants to see me."

She pushed open He Tingchen’s room door and walked in.

The room was as dim as ever, with only a small lamp turned on by the bed.

"Stay there for now. Once I’m better, I will come to get you," the man said.

"Ah, come to get me? Why?" Fang Anning’s heart pounded, and she quickly asked.

The man did not answer her; the room was terrifyingly silent, as if only her own heartbeat could be heard.

After a long while, the man finally spoke again, but it was to tell her to leave.

Fang Anning, having no choice, followed Wen Yi and left.

As soon as she got downstairs, Mrs. Chen eagerly asked her, "How did it go? Did the gentleman ask you to stay?"

Fang Anning smiled and said, "Mrs. Chen, I’m leaving now. I’ll come to see you when I have time."

Mrs. Chen sighed and watched her leave reluctantly.

Wen Yi dropped her off at Li Xiaoxiao’s place and then left.

"Who are you?" the man, having drunk some alcohol, barked dissatisfiedly.

Lu Tianyu immediately rushed over, grabbed the man’s shoulder forcefully, and said coldly, "Answer her question."

"Ah, it hurts, let me go," the man yelled in pain.

At this point, a female colleague rushed over and quickly said, "Let her go, Li Xiaoxiao left with Mr. Chen; we don’t know where they went."

Upon hearing this, Anning immediately turned around and walked out to go to the surveillance room to check the cameras.

With Lu Tianyu present, the security efficiently brought up the surveillance footage.

Anning had no choice but to step aside and let Lu Tianyu kick the door.

Lu Tianyu kicked the door forcefully, and it immediately opened.

Anning rushed in and saw a man inside with his top off, blood flowing from his head, wearing only a pair of shorts, frantically standing at the bathroom door banging on it.

As Anning burst in, he turned around in surprise and asked, "Who are you guys?"
