How I Became The Devil's Last and Only Love
Chapter 52: The True Dominant President

Chapter 52: Chapter 52: The True Dominant President

Fang Anning and He Tingchen declined the Zhou family’s generous invitation and left their residence.

Their objective had been achieved, and they had figured out Zhou Zhaoguo’s little scheme. Why should they stay for dinner and watch a family of four put on an act?

She certainly wasn’t in the mood for such indulgence!

"Are you hungry?"

Once in the car, Fang Anning asked He Tingchen.

He Tingchen did not respond, his face expressionless.

Fang Anning said, "I’m a little hungry. How about we grab something to eat before going home? Since we were supposed to have dinner at the Zhou family’s, Mrs. Chen surely didn’t prepare dinner for us. I know a restaurant that’s quite good. I’ll take you there to try it out."

"If you don’t say anything, can I take that as a yes?"

Fang Anning waited for a while, but He Tingchen continued to ignore her, so she made the decision on her own.

"Yuan, drive to Yicheng Road," Fang Anning ordered the driver.

Since He Tingchen didn’t object, the driver did as Fang Anning instructed and headed to Yicheng Road.

"Stop here, please."

As the car slowly moved forward and passed by a mala soup shop, Fang Anning hurriedly called out to Yuan to stop the car.

Yuan pulled over.

Fang Anning said to He Tingchen with a smile, "This mala soup shop has been open for more than a decade, and the taste is especially good. Come down and try? My treat."

The man glanced at the mala soup shop and frowned slightly.

Fang Anning quickly added, "Don’t judge it by its size; it’s really good. I guessed you’ve never tried it before. Come down and give it a try?"

"Are you sweet-talking me?" He Tingchen looked at her and asked.

Fang Anning’s face turned red as she hastily denied it, "I’m not."

After denying it and seeing his displeased expression, she had no choice but to concede, "Just pretend I’m sweet-talking you, okay?"

She raised the pitch of her voice when saying the word "okay," involuntarily reminding He Tingchen of someone.

He was originally determined to reject her coldly, but the thought flashed through his mind, and he found himself involuntarily nodding in agreement.

By the time he came to his senses, he had already nodded. Helpless, he could only follow her out of the car.

"Boss, do you have seats for two?"

Fang Anning led He Tingchen in, only to find the place was quite crowded.

It made sense, as it was dinner time. With good food at low prices, the restaurant naturally attracted many customers.

"Just find a place and sit down," the busy owner called out without looking up.

Fang Anning took a look around and saw that every table was full, presumably with shared seating. So, she took He Tingchen’s hand and headed towards the farthest table.

"This seat’s taken, this seat’s taken."

A burly man at the table yelled at Fang Anning.

Fang Anning gave a wry smile, "Big brother, there really are no seats left. There are just two spots here at your table. Could you do us a favor?"

"Not happening. I don’t like sharing a table with others when I eat," the burly man slapped the table and glared with wide eyes.

Damn, who knows where this guy came from, sitting at the same table as him would be an insult.

"He Tingchen, why are you walking away?"

He Tingchen stared coldly at the burly man, shaking off Fang Anning’s hand and turning to leave.

Fang Anning snapped to her senses and quickly followed after him.

Once outside, she saw He Tingchen quietly saying something to a bodyguard.

The bodyguard nodded, then turned to walk back into the shop.

Fang Anning saw that He Tingchen didn’t return to the car but stood at the entrance instead. She was somewhat puzzled, what was he really trying to do?

Did he want to stay here to eat, or did he not?

But just with He Tingchen’s looks, simply standing here casually, he seemed more attractive than others’ carefully crafted styles.

Fang Anning couldn’t help but sigh, although he wasn’t much of a person, she had to admit, he really was handsome!

"Come here."

He Tingchen suddenly beckoned Fang Anning over.

His gesture was like calling a small dog, making Fang Anning internally scoff, did he think she was a dog?

Nevertheless, she hurried over to see what His Highness had to command.

But just as she approached He Tingchen, she was immediately pulled into his embrace by one arm.

She was stunned for a moment.

Then, with her peripheral vision, she saw many people coming out from the shop, one by one, all merry as if they had found money.

"What happened, was there money being given out in the shop?" Fang Anning curiously asked.

"I’m sorry, it was my fault earlier. My lady, I beg for your noble forgiveness."

Suddenly, a man threw himself at Fang Anning’s feet, crying and begging for forgiveness. Fang Anning was taken aback and watch the man with confusion.

Who is this?

"My lady, please have mercy and forgive me this once," the man continued with his weeping pleas.

"Please get up, who are you? I don’t know you," said Fang Anning.

"It’s me," the man raised his head with a face of mourning.

Gasping.

Fang Anning was startled, wasn’t this the burly guy from before?

But that face... How many slaps did it take to swell up like that?

"Did someone hit you?" Fang Anning quickly turned her head to ask He Tingchen in a whisper.

He Tingchen, expressionless, said dismissively, "Let’s go in!"

After speaking, he turned and walked inside first.

The small shop that was crowded just a moment ago was now suddenly empty.

A bodyguard was still standing at the entrance, holding the door open for He Tingchen as if it were a grand hotel, very imposing.

The burly man continued to sob and beg pathetically, pleading for Fang Anning to spare him.

Fang Anning sighed and said to him, "Remember today when you try to act tough in the future. You’re just unlucky to have met someone even tougher than you."

"Let him go; a lesson is enough. Why would Mr. He stoop to the level of such people?" Fang Anning then turned to the bodyguard watching the burly man.

The bodyguard nodded and kicked the burly guy fiercely, barking, "Aren’t you going to scram?"

The burly man scampered off, tumbling and crawling, too terrified to even look back.

Fang Anning shook her head, she didn’t have too much sympathy for the burly man. Such a person who only bullies the weak but fears the strong deserved to be dealt with. It was just that He Tingchen indeed seemed quite frightening, vindictive, cruel, and ruthless.

The epitome of a domineering CEO stereotype!

"Why did you drive everyone out?"

Upon entering, He Tingchen was already sitting down neatly, back ramrod straight. From the back, he looked like a respectable gentleman; you’d never suspect his tyrannical side.

"I paid them," the man said simply.

The boss came over with a broad smile, "This boss is very generous; he gave everyone ten times their meal cost to send them away. Hehehe, what would you like to eat? Feel free to choose, whatever flavor you want, just say."

"What do you want to eat?" Fang Anning asked He Tingchen again.

"I don’t know," He Tingchen answered.

Fang Anning nodded; right, he hadn’t eaten here before, how could he know what was delicious and what wasn’t?

So it was up to her to decide.

She went over, then picked up a bowl and chose several dishes that He Tingchen should be able to eat.

"One spicy portion, one soy-flavored one. Also, no cilantro in the soy-flavored dish." After choosing, Fang Anning handed the bowl to the boss.
