How I Became The Devil's Last and Only Love
Chapter 48: The White Moonlight He Loves

Chapter 48: Chapter 48: The White Moonlight He Loves

"Can you slow down?"

Fang Anning was being dragged stumblingly, almost twisting her ankle.

Finally, He Tingchen stopped. But Fang Anning couldn’t stop in time and crashed into his back.

"Ouch, that really hurts."

Fang Anning clutched her forehead, wincing in pain.

He Tingchen frowned, lifted her chin to look at her forehead, and with a look of disgust said, "So useless, it’s turning red just from a bump."

After speaking, he rudely rubbed it for her.

However, he used too much strength, and it hurt even more.

Fang Anning quickly freed her forehead from his hand with a pitiful complaint: "Are you trying to murder me?"

The man looked at her with a solemn face.

Fang Anning could only say in a small, aggrieved voice, "It really hurts."

"Deserved it."

The man dropped those two words and turned to continue walking on.

Fang Anning pouted, such rage, could it be because of the argument he just had with He Min?

However, that sentence from He Min was quite meaningful.

How many years has it been, and you still haven’t forgotten her?

It sounded like He Tingchen might have had an old flame!

"Tch, what’s it to me." Fang Anning curled her lips and hurriedly caught up with He Tingchen.

Be it an old flame or a cinnabar mole, she just wanted to quickly have a child and leave.

But when He Tingchen got angry, she was definitely the one who ended up most miserable.

When she returned home and saw that the sofa in the bedroom had disappeared, with her quilt and pillow thrown on the floor.

Fang Anning was speechless.

Was this indicative of her sleeping on the floor?

"What are you dazing for? Go to sleep."

The man, after his bath, saw Fang Anning standing where the sofa used to be and scolded her with a cold face.

Fang Anning, startled, spread the bedding and lay down on the floor.

Sleeping on the floor then, so be it!

Luckily it’s not very cold now, at least she wouldn’t get sick.

He Tingchen: "..."

Looking at Fang Anning lying there like a dead body, his anger surged up.

Was this woman an idiot?

Without the sofa, she would rather sleep on the floor than share a bed with him—did she really see him as a flood-dragon?

"Go sleep outside, seeing you makes me irritated." He Tingchen couldn’t help but roar again.

Fang Anning was so angry she gritted her teeth, she had already lain down, what was she bothering him for now?

"Scram."

He Tingchen shouted angrily again.

Fang Anning quickly grabbed her quilt and scurried away.

Scram then, you think I want to sleep on the floor?

Better to scram, at least there’s a sofa in the living room, which is better than sleeping on the floor.

But she couldn’t help wondering who exactly was the old flame in He Tingchen’s heart, someone who just by mentioning her could make him lose his temper.

"Madam, why are you sleeping here?"

Mrs. Chen was surprised to see Fang Anning lying on the sofa when she got up early in the morning.

Fang Anning rubbed her eyes and sat up, saying: "I was driven out by your family’s Mr. He, so I could only sleep here. What time is it? I have to go to school today. I can’t be late."

"It’s still early, hurry up and get up! The master will be angry if he sees this." Mrs. Chen urged quickly.

Fang Anning shook her head and sighed.

Having to please the young and satisfy the old, her life was indeed too hard.

Spending money is easy, earning it is hard; truly, the life of a worker is not easy!

"Mrs. Chen, let me ask you, does your family’s Mr. He have a girl he once liked a lot but didn’t end up together with?"

When Mrs. Chen went to the kitchen to make breakfast, Fang Anning ran over and stealthily asked.

Mrs. Chen was taken aback for a moment, shook her head, and said, "I don’t know, I’ve never seen the sir close with any girl."

Fang Anning thought to herself, you sneaky little thing, hiding so deeply?

Forget it, curiosity killed the cat. It’s better if she doesn’t pry into his privacy. Lest he finds out and kills her using that as an excuse.

Taking advantage of the fact that He Tingchen had not yet gotten up, Fang Anning quickly ate breakfast and asked Chen Rui to take her to school.

So when He Tingchen came downstairs, he only saw Mrs. Chen cleaning the table but no sign of Fang Anning.

"Where is she?" He Tingchen asked with a cold face.

"Sir, you are awake. Are you asking about the wife? The wife has already had breakfast and gone to school," Mrs. Chen replied respectfully.

He Tingchen frowned. She didn’t wait to have breakfast with him and went to school so early?

Could it be that there’s someone at school waiting for her?

"Sir, would you like to have breakfast now?" Mrs. Chen asked again.

"I don’t want any," He Tingchen said coldly.

Having said that, he walked out.

"Take Tongcheng Road."

After getting into the car, He Tingchen instructed the driver.

The driver was taken aback; the road to the company didn’t pass through Tongcheng Road. If they took a detour to Tongcheng Road, it would inevitably be a big detour.

However, he didn’t dare question the boss’s orders.

Although puzzled, he still drove through Tongcheng Road.

Fang Anning’s university was located on Tongcheng Road, and it was only when they passed by that the driver realized.

So when they passed by the university, he cautiously asked, "Sir, should we go in?"

He Tingchen looked out of the car window with a deep gaze, silent for a moment, then coldly said, "No need, go to the company."

The driver nodded and continued driving forward.

Meanwhile, Fang Anning had already started studying in the self-study room; she had asked for a few days off and was falling even further behind.

Therefore, she had to seize the time to study and not waste this opportunity to go back to school.

"Fang Anning? How are you still alive?"

Chen Mengmeng, passing by the self-study room, looked inside, barged in, and angrily questioned Fang Anning.

The other students in the self-study room all looked up at her.

Fang Anning also raised her head and snorted, "If you’re not dead, of course, I’m still alive."

Chen Mengmeng clenched her fists, frustrated, and said, "You weren’t here these past few days; I thought you were dead too, how unlucky. You’re actually still alive."

After saying that, she took out her phone and made a call, angrily shouting, "Mu Yunxi, stop whining. Fang Anning is not dead."

"Can you two take your argument outside if you have issues? Other people want to study."

A student couldn’t help but rebuke them.

Fang Anning quickly apologized sheepishly and hurriedly packed her books to leave.

"Chen Mengmeng, are you sick? Can’t you see this is a self-study room? Shouting and screaming, do you have any manners?"

Fang Anning couldn’t help rebuking Chen Mengmeng after she got out.

It’s all this girl’s fault, she can’t even stay in the self-study room anymore.

Chen Mengmeng, hands on her hips, said, "I have no manners? I have parents who gave birth to me and raised me, which is better than you, a wild girl born with a father but without a father’s care."

"Hmph, dare you say that in front of Zhou Zhaoguo? See how he praises you," Fang Anning snorted.

"You wretched girl, you dare to insult me!" Chen Mengmeng was so angry that she raised her hand to hit her.

Fang Anning quickly grabbed her wrist, pushed her away, and slapped her across the face.

"Chen Mengmeng, are you stupid? You never learn your lesson."

"Fang Anning?"

Mu Yunxi suddenly ran over, looking at her with both shock and joy.

Seeing Mu Yunxi, Chen Mengmeng burst into tears and threw herself at him, "Yunxi, did you see that? Fang Anning hit me."
