How I Became The Devil's Last and Only Love
Chapter 154 - 141: Just Think of It as a Good Deed

Chapter 154: Chapter 141: Just Think of It as a Good Deed

"Do it as an act of charity?"

Fang Anning almost laughed in anger at Mrs. Chen and once again swept the meal brought by the maid with the tray onto the floor.

"Fuck charity. I don’t want and can’t do this kind of charity."

"Madam, how can you do this?" Mrs. Chen was startled and stepped back in shock.

Fang Anning snorted with laughter: "Why can’t I do this? It’s enough that he tricked me into having his child, but he also deceived my feelings. Why should I understand him?"

"If you don’t understand, you don’t understand! But you still need to eat." Mrs. Chen hurriedly called someone in to clean up the floor.

Luckily, the kitchen made plenty, and despite her overturning it repeatedly, a new meal was quickly brought to her.

But Fang Anning’s face remained stern and she refused to eat, saying coldly, "I won’t eat. Tell He Tingchen to come see me. If he doesn’t come, I won’t eat."

"Madam." Mrs. Chen was visibly upset.

But Fang Anning, once she was stubborn, would not be swayed even by ten oxen; Mrs. Chen ultimately couldn’t stand up to her and had to go find He Tingchen to report the situation.

"Sir, please go and see. Madam won’t eat no matter what, and this is not good for the child," Mrs. Chen reported with a serious expression.

He Tingchen looked deep and was silent.

Mrs. Chen, anxious, asked in a lower voice, "Sir, are you going or not?"

"You’ve been by her side for so long, do you care for her only because she can save He Zirui or do you really care about her?" He Tingchen asked slowly.

Mrs. Chen was stunned for a moment, and after pondering, she said: "Actually, Madam is a good person. Even though she has a strong temper, I know she’s kind-hearted. Sir, since you truly like her too, why not just tell her the truth. Once she knows the truth, she’ll certainly be willing to save the young master."

"The truth? How can I tell her the truth with my status?" He Tingchen scoffed.

Mrs. Chen said: "Sir, it’s not your fault. Madam is a reasonable person, she will understand you."

"You may leave. I’ll be there shortly." He Tingchen said coldly.

Mrs. Chen wanted to say more, but seeing his expression, she couldn’t speak and just left with her head down.

In the evening, He Tingchen finally came.

It was true that Fang Anning had not eaten from noon until evening.

Seeing He Tingchen entering, she snorted coldly: "You finally came. What, are you afraid I’ll starve the child in my belly and it won’t be able to cure your son?"

"What do you want?" He Tingchen asked.

Fang Anning, supporting her waist, stood up and walked over to He Tingchen, looking up and said: "I want to make a deal with you."

"How do you want to make a deal?" He Tingchen sat down.

Fang Anning also sat down, supporting her waist, touched her belly and said, "I know you want to save your son, but you certainly don’t need an infant’s organs, so it must be umbilical cord blood. I can cooperate fully, no problem. But I have one condition. If you agree to it, I promise to stop making trouble, take good care of myself, and wait for the birth. But if you don’t agree, I’ll leave this world with this child—two lives lost. After all, the child is in my belly now, and I have the absolute say."

"You actually think like this?" He Tingchen said in pain.

Fang Anning scoffed and said, "Otherwise, what am I supposed to do? Be the meat on your chopping block, at your mercy?"

"So that’s what you think of me. After all the time we’ve spent together, in your eyes, I’m just a heartless villain who uses you." He Tingchen said disappointedly.

Seeing his aggrieved expression, Fang Anning was nearly furious.

He feels wronged?

When she, a victim, hasn’t even complained, what right does he have to feel wronged?

"I didn’t call you here to talk nonsense or to be sentimental with you. I said we would discuss terms. If we come to an agreement, I’ll be obedient from now on; if not, I’ve already told you what will happen. So, are you willing to discuss now?"

"State your conditions," He Tingchen said in a deep voice.

Fang Anning scoffed and slowly said, "My condition is simple. I’ll cooperate with you to give birth to this child and use the umbilical cord blood to save your son. But according to the previous agreement, you must give me what I deserve to leave. In addition to what was previously agreed upon, I want one more thing—the child in my belly. Since you already have a child, I want to take this one away. From now on, I will disappear completely from your world and never influence your life again."

"The previously agreed upon terms?" He Tingchen frowned.

Fang Anning raised an eyebrow: "What, don’t tell me you don’t know about that agreement!"

"What agreement? I really don’t know," He Tingchen said icily.

Fang Anning said, "This agreement was signed between me and Old Mr. He. I thought you knew. Since you didn’t, you can go back and ask him. As for the additional item I am proposing, you can consider it. I’ll give you time to think about it. But I hope you can ultimately agree. After all, a wealthy family like ours needs only one heir. Besides, they are half-brothers, so it solves a big problem for you if I take this child away. You don’t need to thank me."

"Surprising that you’d think of taking him away," He Tingchen said.

Fang Anning scoffed: "Of course, this is my child. I naturally want to take him away."

"I’ll consider your conditions and also get to the bottom of this agreement as soon as possible," He Tingchen said.

Fang Anning nodded.

He Tingchen continued: "Mrs. Chen says you haven’t eaten anything all day. Now that we’ve come to an agreement, can you eat?"

"Of course, I can. I don’t have a tendency for self-torture. Since we’ve agreed, of course, I should eat," Fang Anning shrugged.

He Tingchen stood up to leave and instructed Mrs. Chen to bring a meal to Fang Anning immediately.

Mrs. Chen immediately nodded in joy and quickly had a sumptuous dinner sent over from the kitchen.

In truth, Fang Anning was nearly starved, and only after eating did she start to feel more comfortable.

However, she hadn’t expected that He Tingchen was still unaware of the agreement, nor did she know whether he would ultimately agree to it or not.

"You signed an agreement with Fang Anning?"

After leaving Fang Anning, He Tingchen went straight to the backyard to find Old Mr. He.

Old Mr. He slowly nodded in the face of his questioning, saying, "Yes, there was indeed an agreement made before."

"I want the agreement," He Tingchen said.

Old Mr. He called his servant, who fetched the agreement and handed it to He Tingchen.

He Tingchen couldn’t help but sneer after reading the contents of the agreement.

No wonder Fang Anning was suddenly all over him and insisting on having a child with him—it was due to such immense benefits driving her.

So from the very start, she never truly loved him!

From the beginning, it was all about interests.

"Mrs. Chen said, it seems you had a disagreement with her," Old Mr. He asked.

He Tingchen came back to his senses, his voice deep, "Don’t worry, I won’t delay the effort to save He Zirui."

Old Mr. He said, "The reason I forced you to marry and have children was indeed to save Zirui, but I also hoped that you could be happy."

"Really? Thanks for your concern, but I don’t need it." He Tingchen sneered coldly as he stood up, taking the agreement and leaving.

He walked out of Old Mr. He’s room, and a little boy who looked to be around seven or eight years old was running towards him. But upon seeing him coming out from inside, the boy immediately stopped in terror, standing afar and looking at him as if very afraid of him.

He Tingchen gazed deeply at the boy.

The more the boy seemed scared.

His eyes were dark and sparkling, with a sense of maturity that didn’t match his small body.

He ought to appear older than his physical age; it was just that he constantly looked pale from illness, which also stunted his growth.

He looked skinny and small, quite pitiable.

"Come here," He Tingchen said to the boy.

The boy, frightened, trembled and instead of coming closer, stepped backward.

He Tingchen was dissatisfied with his reaction and lower his voice to scold again, "Come here."

At that moment, the servant taking care of the little boy ran over, seeing the interaction between He Tingchen and the boy, she thought the boy must have offended He Tingchen.

So she hurriedly bowed and apologized, "Sir, I’m sorry, I neglected to watch the young master properly. If there’s anything improper the young master did, please forgive him."

He Tingchen’s eyes were deep.

He just wanted him to come over and ask him a few questions, yet the servant misunderstood it as an offense.

Indeed, in this house, he was still an outsider.

"Sir?"

The maid frowned when she saw He Tingchen leave with a stern face without saying a word.

He hadn’t even mentioned how he had been offended; why did he just leave?

"Young master, how did you manage to offend the sir?" the maid quickly squatted down to ask the little boy.

The little boy shook his head, "I didn’t. I am just scared of him. I wanted to go find great-grandfather, but when I saw him coming out of the great-grandfather’s room, I quickly stopped. I didn’t offend him. He never pays attention to me, so why did he suddenly ask me to come over? I got scared and didn’t go over, and then you came."

"Ah well, the gentleman has always been temperamental and unpredictable; who knows what’s on his mind. As long as you haven’t offended him, it’s okay, but remember, stay away from him in the future, don’t get too close to him," the maid warned again.

The little boy nodded, "Don’t worry, I understand. I’m already afraid when I see him; how could I get too close?"

"That’s good then, young master. You’re a good boy, and soon your illness will be healed," the maid said with a smile.

The little boy smiled happily in return and quickly ran into Old Mr. He’s room.

Meanwhile, He Tingchen hurried back to the main courtyard with the agreement, ignoring Mrs. Chen’s greeting, and went straight upstairs to find Fang Anning.

Fang Anning, having just filled her stomach, was lying on the recliner resting.

Seeing He Tingchen walking in with a stack of papers in his hand, she slowly sat up and asked, "You’re back so soon. Have you already seen the agreement?"

"Is it this agreement?" He Tingchen lifted the stack of papers in his hand and asked.

Fang Anning, supporting her waist, struggled to stand up, saying, "It’s too far, I can’t see it."

She slowly got up and walked over to He Tingchen. After glancing at the agreement, she nodded and said, "It’s this agreement."

"So from the beginning, the reason you deliberately approached me, were with me, and became pregnant with my child, was all just because of this agreement?" He Tingchen questioned.
