Chapter 415: To Sea Pearl City
Chapter 415: Chapter 415: To Sea Pearl City
"Julia, we’ve arrived in Sea Pearl City. Are you getting here in the afternoon?"
Sophia held her phone to her ear as she spoke, while Andrew carried the luggage in one hand and shielded her as they exited the terminal.
Tomorrow was Dale Land and Carson Dunn’s wedding; they had returned this time specifically to attend the ceremony.
Julia was directing James and Alice Thompson on packing their luggage. She held the phone to her ear and reached out to help Alice with her clothes. "Sophia, we’re not set to arrive in Sea Pearl City until the afternoon. You guys can go rest at the hotel first."
Sophia laughed softly, "Alright, then we’ll wait for you at the hotel."
After hanging up the call, Julia asked Alice, "Sweetheart, where’s your sister?"
Alice was carefully folding his clothes—a neat rectangle—tilting his head towards Julia, "I think she’s in the study right now."
Julia glanced at James helplessly and said, "Your daughter’s still focused on work at this hour? Alice, go tell your sister to start getting ready."
Obeying his mother’s orders, Alice immediately set down the clothes in his hands and ran off hopping and skipping.
He arrived at the study, knocked on the door first, and then pushed it open.
Peeking his head in, he said, "Sister, Mommy says you should start getting ready."
Dale Land was busy handling some company matters. She heard her brother’s voice and looked up, smiling faintly. "Alright, I’ll be right there."
She stood up, rubbed her tired neck, then walked out of the study.
By noon, the family had finished packing their luggage and set off for the airport.
Just as their car neared the airport, James Thompson received a call from Jasper Winters.
"Boss, there’s trouble at Madame Bell’s place."
James put the call on speaker so Julia could hear as well.
Julia frowned slightly, "What’s happened to her?"
On the other end, Jasper responded respectfully, "Madame Bell has been stabbed by Celeste Lewis. Celeste has already been detained by the police, and the doctors have diagnosed her as stable and out of life-threatening danger."
Hearing Jasper’s report, Julia and James were both a bit taken aback.
"Why would Celeste stab her?" Julia asked curiously. "Could it be... because of the Bell Group shares?"
"That’s correct," Jasper confirmed. "We’ve gathered some preliminary information – Celeste lost control emotionally after Madame Bell tried to sell the Bell Group shares to someone else. The two had an argument in the hospital room."
Julia raised an eyebrow.
James turned to her, "Do you want to go to the hospital to see her?"
Julia shook her head, "Since she’s not in critical condition, there’s no need for now. But somehow, this all feels a bit odd."
As it would turn out, Julia’s intuition was spot on.
All of this was orchestrated by Madame Bell to frame Celeste Lewis.
James instructed Jasper, "Keep monitoring the situation over there."

Meanwhile, at the hospital.
Madame Bell lay weakly in her hospital bed, her voice frail as she spoke to Maxwell Bell, "Arthur, you must divorce Celeste Lewis."
Maxwell’s expression shifted complicatedly upon hearing Madame Bell’s words.
He looked at his aunt lying on the hospital bed, grappling with inner conflict.
"Aunt, Celeste... she was certainly impulsive, but divorce is..."
He hesitated, unsure how to proceed.
Madame Bell’s tone sharpened with determination, a hint of pleading in her face. "Arthur, I know you’ve been married for years by now, and I’m sure you have feelings for her by now, but she stabbed me! Someone like her is cruel-hearted. You still want to defend her?"
The room fell quiet for a moment.
Maxwell spoke in a low voice, "Aunt, I’ll carefully consider your words. Right now, your health is what’s most important. Let’s discuss the divorce later."
Madame Bell’s gaze bore into Maxwell, filled with displeasure.
She thought to herself: Stabbed by Celeste Lewis, yet her nephew still chose to side with her at a time like this? "Fine, I’ll give you some time to think it over."
Maxwell nodded slightly, holding Madame Bell’s hand calmly. "Aunt, please get some rest. I’ll handle the situation properly."
Madame Bell’s eyes reddened, tears escaping. "Arthur, it terrifies me—she stabbed me with a knife. Asking you to divorce her—is that really too much?"
Luke Bell stood outside the hospital room and overheard Madame Bell demanding his father divorce his mother.
Instantly, anger flared up inside him.
He pushed the door open and stormed inside, rushing straight to Madame Bell’s bedside, his eyes filled with fury.
"Grandma, how could you say that!" Luke said angrily. "My mom would never intentionally stab you! She’s been so kind to you for so many years. Grandma, you can’t force Dad and Mom to divorce, okay?"
Madame Bell looked at Luke’s angry expression, almost fainting from sheer outrage.
Her voice turned sharp, "I’ve treated you so well for years, and this is how you repay me? Your mother stabbed me!"
Luke shook his head firmly, "Grandma, my mom would never deliberately hurt you!"
With a cold sneer, Madame Bell said, "For the sake of the shares and property I hold, she’s capable of doing anything."
Maxwell glared at his son, "Luke, this is a matter for the adults. Don’t upset your grandma—leave."
"Dad..."
"Leave!"
Faced with his father’s stern gaze, Luke stood still for a moment, then stormed out of the room in anger.
"Aunt, please get some rest. I’ll visit you again later. As for the divorce...I’ll carefully think it through." Maxwell turned and exited the hospital room, his expression deep and somber.

Elsewhere, at the airport.
The Land family had arrived at the VIP lounge while waiting for their flight.
In the lounge, Dale Land unexpectedly encountered Tara Young.
With a polite smile on her face, Dale greeted, "President Young, are you heading to Sea Pearl City?"
"Yes," Tara replied. Upon seeing James and Julia behind Dale, she immediately stood up and greeted them politely, "Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Land, good day."
James nodded slightly, a faint smile on his lips.
Julia returned the smile, "Hello."
Tara would be flying to Inkwell City next week and wouldn’t be returning to the country for quite some time, so she planned to visit her grandmother and family in Sea Pearl City during these few days.
It was pure chance that the group happened to meet today.
"Mr. Thompson, are you traveling to Sea Pearl City for leisure?"
"We’re heading there for Dale’s wedding," James replied casually with a faint smile.
Tara showed a bit of surprise, "So that’s it," and turned to look at Dale. "Well, congratulations!"
Dale responded, "President Young, if you have time, we’d love for you to attend Carson’s and my wedding."
She took two wedding invitations from her bag, handing one to Tara and the other to James Fitzgerald.
Tara and James accepted the invitations and expressed their thanks.
"I’ll attend if I have the chance."
When boarding time arrived, the group boarded the plane.
After more than an hour’s flight, the plane landed in Sea Pearl City.
Upon disembarking, Tara glanced at Carson Dunn, who had come to pick up Dale and her family. She and James Fitzgerald left the airport shortly thereafter.
"Prepare a wedding gift for them," Tara instructed.
"I’ll prepare one as well," James Fitzgerald replied with a smile. "The King Family matter has been settled. Ella King has already been sent abroad."
