Chapter 413: Chapter 413: Go Fix Henry

After the single party ended, Dale Land was preparing to call Carson Dunn.

Julius Lincoln lounged carelessly on the sofa. "I can drive you home, why do you even need to call?"

Dale tilted her head with a grin. "You don’t understand—this is what we call relationship fun."

Julius let out a couple of humphs.

He was single and clueless about "relationship fun."

Dale called Carson. The phone connected quickly, and before she could say a word, the gentle voice of the man came through.

"Dale, I’m just outside."

"Huh? You didn’t head home?" For some reason, Dale felt her face warm.

"No, I didn’t. I came to pick you up. I didn’t want you to wait too long, so I’ve been waiting in the car." Carson chuckled.

Hearing that, Dale couldn’t help but smile. "I’ll come out right now."

She hung up the phone, said goodbye to Julius, and quickly walked toward the door.

Julius watched his friend eagerly dash out of the club, muttering to himself under his breath.

"Tsk, tsk."

When Dale stepped out of the club, she saw Carson standing by the car.

Seeing her, he smiled, opened the car door for her, and took the bag from her hands.

The two of them got into the car.

"Did you have fun tonight?" Carson asked.

Thinking of Julius’s special event arrangements, Dale tried holding back her laughter, giving a subdued smile. "It was alright."

Carson unceremoniously reached over and pinched the corners of her mouth that were about to curve upwards. "Alright? More like great fun! Look at that grin; it’s clear you had a blast."

Exposed, Dale stopped pretending. "It was pretty fun. Julius really knows how to plan stuff like this."

The car arrived at the Thompson Family residence, and Carson watched Dale walk into the house before driving off.

Everyone existed within the same social circle.

The fact that Julius Lincoln had organized a single party for Dale Land was something William Thompson knew about too.

However, even knowing about it, he didn’t have much of a reaction. It was only while holding Bella Quarter in his arms that night before bed that he casually mentioned it.

Bella wasn’t particularly fond of chatting with William. When she talked about her company’s matters, he didn’t understand them.

On the other hand, the topics he brought up were always related to food, drink, and entertainment. But tonight’s mention of the party piqued Bella’s interest for once.

Perhaps there was a mix of jealousy and envy.

She didn’t have many friends.

William’s hand slid into her nightgown, resting on her stomach. "Sister Bella, I’ve been working so hard these past few days. Do you think there might already be a baby in here?"

Bella pressed her lips together, smiling faintly. "Not so fast."

"Oh, by the way, Bella. Eleanor listens to you the most. If you can, please try to gently dissuade her from doing anything to upset James. I’m really worried she might get some crazy ideas and cause trouble for Julia Land and her mother."

The faint smile on Bella’s lips grew even softer. She nodded calmly, her voice gentle. "Don’t worry; I’ll try my best to advise Eleanor to avoid confronting Julia and her mother. After all, neither James nor Julia is someone we can afford to provoke."

Hearing her reassure him, William felt slightly relieved. He held Bella a little tighter, murmuring, "With you advising her, I feel more at ease. Let’s just hope Eleanor can listen and not stir up any trouble."

After saying this, he lifted her nightgown.

Bella knew what he wanted again and didn’t stop him. "Be gentle. I’m wearing a dress tomorrow."

"Mm."

The next day, during her lunch break, Bella still remembered William’s request to warn Eleanor.

Her gaze lowered as shadows danced in her eyes.

She called Eleanor Thompson.

Eleanor had just woken up and was heading downstairs to grab something to eat when she answered the phone. "Sister Bella?"

Bella asked gently, "Eleanor, did you just wake up?"

"Mm, yes."

"Your brother is really worried about you. He’s afraid you’ll do something to anger James. I’m worried about you too."

Hearing Bella’s words, Eleanor frowned slightly, a trace of dissatisfaction creeping into her tone. "Sister Bella, I know, okay? My brother’s just a coward."

Bella chuckled lightly, scolding teasingly, "He’s just looking out for you."

Eleanor pouted, still sounding displeased. "He’s just scared. Scared of James. That’s not being concerned for me—it’s because he doesn’t want anything messing up his carefree lifestyle."

Bella responded with a soft smile. "Alright, we’re all concerned about you. After all, neither James nor Julia are people we can confront right now. By the way, I have something I want to give to you. I’ll bring it by tonight."

Thinking about James’s cold demeanor, Eleanor muttered under her breath, "Fine, I know."

After hanging up, Bella looked down at her phone, her smile as gentle as ever. She didn’t believe for a moment that Eleanor would listen.

After finishing lunch, Eleanor tidied up and prepared to leave.

She still felt a lingering bitterness from Bella’s earlier words, but she was also aware that there was nothing she could do at the moment.

Eleanor decided to inspect her newly opened fashion boutique. All the store’s designs came from her studio.

The shop was located in a bustling area of Capital City—a prime location.

The interior decor was modern and grand.

The moment she walked into the store, the manager promptly greeted her respectfully. "Miss Thompson."

Eleanor scanned the surroundings, seeing numerous customers trying on her designs, and a sense of pride swelled within her.

A satisfied smile tugged at her lips as she nodded with approval.

"Rearrange the displays," Eleanor instructed casually, fastidious about perfection even in minor details.

"Yes, Miss Thompson. I’ll arrange it immediately," the manager replied quickly, immediately directing the staff to make adjustments.

After confirming everything was in order, Eleanor prepared to leave.

Looking up, she spotted Dale Land and Carson Dunn walking side by side in the hallway not far away, chatting and smiling intimately.

Seeing this, Eleanor’s good mood instantly plummeted, and a cold glint flashed in her eyes.

"What a small world," she sneered inwardly, though she maintained a calm front and walked ahead as if nothing had happened.

Dale and Carson also noticed her, but Dale merely glanced at her lightly before looking away.

Given Bella’s warning earlier, Eleanor refrained from causing trouble for Dale.

At that moment, Eleanor’s phone rang. She saw it was a call from Henry. Initially reluctant to answer, she reconsidered after her souring mood and decided to mess with him instead.

On the line, Henry invited her to hang out that evening. Eleanor agreed.

After the call, she glanced back at Dale and Carson, letting out a cold laugh.

She then made another call. "Find me a woman with an STD."

She was going to make Henry pay!

Blame it on his friendship with Carson Dunn.
