Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child!
Chapter 412: Taking You Flying Tonight

Chapter 412: Chapter 412: Taking You Flying Tonight

Julia Land and Carson Dunn had just returned to Capital City from Sea Pearl City when she received a call from Julius Lincoln.

"Dale, let’s go flying tonight." Julius Lincoln’s voice rose and fell dramatically on the other end of the call.

"...Speak human." Julia Land rubbed her ear.

"Alright, darling, I’ve thrown you a bachelor party for tonight. Surprised? Happy? You can’t say no, or we’re officially done being friends!"

Julius Lincoln threatened her with a sinister yet childish tone.

Julia Land couldn’t help but chuckle at his immature threat. "Bachelor party? I honestly didn’t expect you to be this thoughtful. Thank you."

Carson turned his head to look at his girlfriend, noticing the relaxed tone she used when speaking to someone else. He smiled faintly.

On the other end of the line, Julius Lincoln proudly boasted, "We’re best friends, of course I have to be thoughtful! This party is specially prepared for you. You must come! The time is set for 8 PM tonight, and the location is Everday Club. Fun is guaranteed!"

Hearing how excited Julius was, Julia didn’t want to decline his kind gesture. She replied with a laugh, "Alright then, because you’ve clearly put in a lot of effort, I’ll agree. But don’t disappoint me—otherwise, you’ll owe me!"

After confirming the plan, they hung up the phone.

Julia turned to Carson, a playful grin tugging at her lips. "My bestie’s throwing me a bash. You wanna join me tonight for my bachelor party?"

Carson raised an eyebrow. "Your best friend sure is thoughtful. I don’t think I’ve met him before."

Julia laughed. "You’ve met him. Remember the time you came to Dale Group to pick me up? A sports car suddenly stopped next to me—that guy is my friend Julius Lincoln."

Carson recalled the flashy, over-the-top man from that day.

He smiled lightly, "I’ll go with you to the party tonight."

The car stopped in front of Julia’s house.

She told him she’d see him in the evening before stepping out of the car.

Julia’s parents, James Thompson and Mrs. Land, were already sitting in the living room waiting for her.

Since their daughter had gone to meet her in-laws, they naturally wanted an update.

Mrs. Land asked eagerly, "Sweetheart, how did it go?"

Julia sat next to her mother and leaned on her shoulder affectionately. "It went well. We even checked out the wedding venue."

The wedding venue was set in Sea Pearl City.

As the wedding day drew closer, James Thompson and Mrs. Land were secretly more nervous than Julia, the bride-to-be.

At 8 PM that evening.

Julius Lincoln noticed that Julia had brought Carson along. Seeing this, he shot a pitiful glance her way.

Julia took the juice Carson handed her and, spotting Julius’ dramatic expression, asked in confusion, "What’s with that face?"

It was giving serious ’gloomy housewife’ vibes.

Julius leaned closer to Julia and whispered, "I planned a very special program for you. Bringing him along kind of ruins things."

Even though Julius was whispering, Carson was standing right beside Julia and naturally heard every word.

Carson smiled faintly. He was glad he came.

Julia quickly pieced together what Julius was hinting at. She...kind of regretted asking her fiancé to join the party.

Big mistake!

She turned to Carson and suggested, "Doesn’t your company have things to handle? You should go. No need to stay and babysit me."

Carson calmly glanced at his watch. "It’s late. I’m not working overtime."

"No, you *need* to work overtime." Julia’s stubborn resistance was uncharacteristic—even suspicious.

The two locked eyes in a battle of wills.

In the end, Carson relented with a knowing smile. "Call me when it’s over. I’ll come pick you up."

"No need—Julius can take me home." Julius smirked as he interjected.

Carson shot Julius a warning look.

Julius immediately hid behind Julia, mock-complaining, "Dale, his glare is terrifying!"

Carson: "..." Hiding behind a woman? This guy is such a wimp.

Julius threw a taunting glance Carson’s way.

That smirk begged for a beating.

Julia turned to Julius’ innocent-looking face and couldn’t help but laugh out loud. "You two are too much! Stop acting like kids."

Julius immediately straightened up and solemnly declared, "Mr. Dunn, rest assured. Dale is completely safe with me! I’ll call you right after the party ends."

Though Carson smiled, his gaze still carried a hint of warning. "I hope so."

Julius nodded fervently.

Once Carson left, Julius quickly hopped onstage and grabbed the microphone. "Now, let’s welcome Miss Julia Land to the stage to receive her farewell-to-singlehood blessing!"

The party wasn’t big—just a close gathering of about a dozen people.

Julia stepped onto the stage with an air of poise, though she had no idea what kind of ’blessing’ Julius had planned.

When she stood beneath the spotlight, Julius clapped his hands, and overhead, colorful streamers rained down.

"....."

Julia looked at the falling glitter and ribbons, unable to suppress her laughter. "Julius Lincoln, you are ridiculously childish!"

The crowd erupted into applause and cheers, teasingly shouting, "Congratulations, Dale! Goodbye singlehood, hello wedded bliss!"

Julius, smug as ever, walked up to her with the microphone in hand. "Alright, listen up, folks! Today is the farewell-to-singlehood party of our classy and elegant Miss Land. Let’s all celebrate properly! Next, everyone will take turns coming up here to offer her their blessings!"

Julia stifled a smile.

She was genuinely happy.

Most of the people here weren’t that close to her.

One by one, the dozen or so attendees went onstage.

Some offered heartfelt blessings, while others threw in cheeky wishes of "May you have babies soon."

Someone else cheekily wished her a "passion-filled married life."

Julia held back her laughter.

When it was Julius’ turn, he stood before her, smiling, and said, "Dale, no matter what happens in the future, we’ll always be friends. If he ever treats you badly, you know I’m here—we could even get married."

Julia chuckled lightly, "Thank you, Julius. No matter what happens, you’re always my best friend."

She didn’t have many close friends.

What followed was Julius’ so-called special program.

Julia, visibly embarrassed, finally understood why Carson absolutely couldn’t stay for this.

The special program? A lineup of hot guys strutting their stuff, complete with some muscular men pole-dancing... A+ entertainment, Julius. A+.
