Chapter 330: Chapter 330: Once Regretted

Leah Thompson spat toward the dog of a man’s house across the street; angrily turning around, she immediately called Noah Quarter.

Upon Noah answering the phone, she ranted about Emily Yeat spending the night at that man’s house.

Noah was preparing for a chance to use a business trip abroad as an excuse to leave the country. Hearing his mother’s furious voice, he responded indifferently, "Mom, I’ll handle the Emily situation. Please don’t intervene anymore."

Hearing her son’s calm tone, Leah was infuriated, "Am I meddling too much? If you enjoy wearing the green hat, keep it on! She even said she’s going to divorce you tomorrow."

Noah waited for Leah to finish ranting before hanging up, his brow slightly furrowed.

He can’t divorce Emily yet.

He still needs the Yeat Family for cover.

In any case, he can’t divorce before he goes abroad.

After leaving Zachary Wenchester’s house, Emily started reaching out to Noah, preparing to file for divorce tomorrow.

She made several calls but Noah didn’t answer.

"What on earth is he doing that he doesn’t even answer the phone!"

Emily’s patience was wearing thin, so she decided not to waste time and directly contacted her father’s secretary, "Secretary Liao, could you check if Noah Quarter is at the office right now? I urgently need to see him."

Secretary Liao smiled, "Okay, I’ll go check immediately."

After waiting for a few minutes, Emily finally received a call back from Secretary Liao, "Miss, Mr. Quarter is indeed at the office today, but he’s currently in a meeting."

Meanwhile, in the senior management office, Noah was discussing overseas business matters with the director.

"If we can cooperate with clients from Malaysia this time, we’ll be able to explore new markets for Yeat Clan teas," Noah said coolly.

The director nodded happily, "When do you plan to go to Malaysia to meet the clients?"

Noah was still waiting for news from his grandmother’s side and expected it would take a few more days to arrange, he thought for a moment before saying, "I plan to leave next week."

The director responded, "Good, if you can explore a new market, the credit is yours."

Once things were settled, Noah left the office with a faint smile.

He saw several missed calls from Emily on his phone, furrowed his brow, but decided to call back, "I just finished a meeting and saw several calls from you. Is there something important?"

Emily said without mincing words, "We are going to handle the divorce procedures tomorrow!"

Noah’s expression cooled, and he replied indifferently, "Not tomorrow. Let’s wait for a while longer; I’m a bit busy recently."

Emily scoffed dismissively, "The divorce process takes only an hour. What are you so busy with? You won’t need to work at Yeat Clan after the divorce."

Noah’s other hand tightly gripped his pen as he answered calmly, "I have to go abroad for business negotiations. This deal is beneficial for the Yeat Clan, and we can discuss the divorce after I return from my trip."

It seems he needed to go abroad earlier than planned.

Emily frowned, "How long will you be out of the country?"

Noah, "About a week or so."

Emily hung up the phone with a cold snort.

After Emily hung up, Noah quickly sent a message to Maya Chant, telling her he would be going to Malaysia earlier than planned.

Maya quickly replied, [Okay, be careful when you go abroad. Grandmother will arrange everything for you, and there will be someone to meet you there.]

[I will arrange news about Dale Land to attract the attention of Julia Land and James Thompson.]

Noah swiftly deleted the message and then went to inform the director that he needed to visit Malaysia earlier to meet with clients.

After getting approval from the director, he went straight home to pack his essentials, preparing for his trip abroad.

He stored all important documents at his mother Leah’s place, not at the Yeat Family’s, so he went directly back to his own house.

Seeing her son returning home suddenly, Leah thought it was because of Emily, "The man that Emily cheated with lives right across from our home."

Noah’s stride towards his room paused, "He lives across the street?"

Was it a coincidence?

"Yes, such bad luck," Leah frowned angrily.

Noah resumed walking towards his room, "Mom, I have to go abroad to meet a client tomorrow."

He quickly packed his luggage.

Eliza Quarter, who stayed cooped up in her room, heard Noah’s voice and coldly limped out of her room leaning on a crutch.

Her room walls were plastered with pictures of Julia Land and James Thompson, and she had written many malicious curses on them.

As Noah exited his room with his suitcase, he glanced at Eliza and frowned, "You still have one good leg even though the other is useless, don’t just stay in your room all day."

"It’s all your fault. If you hadn’t married that slut Julia Land, our family wouldn’t have such bad luck!" Eliza accused with a bitter and hateful tone.

Noah’s eyes turned frosty, "It was you who got deceived by Chloe Sullivan and went to Capital City causing a scene, which led to your leg being broken. What does that have to do with me!"

Upon hearing these words from Noah, Eliza bitterly snatched up a cup from the table and smashed it on the floor.

She turned back into her room and loudly slammed the door.

Leah looked at the shattered pieces of glass on the floor, and she shrieked, "Stupid girl! Come out and clean this mess up!"

No longer wanting to hear the ongoing noise at home, Noah opened the front door and stepped out.

He once had regrets.

If he had treasured Julia from the beginning, perhaps none of the subsequent events would have happened.

Maybe by now they would have had a child.

Her eyes would be filled only with him.

She would tenderly care for him when he returned home from functions drunk.
