Upon hearing this news, James Thompson’s face changed, "Send me the address, are we sure it’s an accident? Have the bodyguards guard the scene first."

Assistant Hunter nodded and agreed.

James Thompson was now in the country, while Alice is in another Asian country, he made a call to Jasper Winters to fly to Alice immediately.

She reached out and lifted the white cloth, gazing at his pale face.

She did it to gain Cody Thompson’s trust and to show she wouldn’t have children to compete for anything from Lucy Thompson and James Thompson.

Little did she know, she never got pregnant again.

Maya Chant looked at Cody Thompson’s face, she had actually been hiding another significant secret all this time.

When Lucy Thompson came home to stay for a few days, she noticed that Lucy might be pregnant.

But due to Lucy’s poor health, doctors had already said it was difficult for her to conceive. Moreover, her menstrual cycle was irregular, so she might not have known about the pregnancy herself.

Maya Chant didn’t bother to remind Lucy to get a medical checkup.

However, during those days when Lucy stayed at home, she suddenly had a medical emergency. Her heart stopped beating; though she was revived, her condition was critical.

James Thompson had no choice but to perform an untested surgery on Lucy.

Cody Thompson was furious at the loss of his daughter. He didn’t let Christopher Moore see Lucy for the last time and had her immediately cremated.

Maya Chant secretly sent a text to Christopher Moore from an unknown number, deliberately saying it was James Thompson who insisted on performing the untested surgery which led to Lucy’s death, and Cody Thompson quickly cremated the body to prevent him from discovering the truth.

Maya Chant re-covered it with a white cloth.

Jasper Winters stayed with Alice to investigate the circumstances of Cody Thompson’s incident.

On the day of the memorial, the atmosphere was solemn and respectful, with relatives and friends coming forward to offer their condolences.

James Thompson stood at the front, with Julia Land by his side, relatives and friends glanced at Julia Land, but no one dared to speak out of turn in this setting.

"You evil woman, if it wasn’t for you, my mom wouldn’t have left us," Eleanor Thompson accused loudly, her voice filled with grievance and anger.

Hearing this, the relatives and friends who were just about to leave all stopped in their tracks.

All eyes fell on Julia Land and James Thompson.

James Thompson’s face turned icy cold, and he looked coldly at Eleanor Thompson.

Eleanor Thompson felt scared and wanted to cry; her small body was slightly trembling, and tears were swirling in her eyes.
