Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child!
Chapter 302: You Do Your Thing, I’ll Feed You

Chapter 302: Chapter 302: You Do Your Thing, I’ll Feed You

Julia Land got up in the morning, had a little breakfast, and with no appetite, put down her chopsticks.

"Mr. Thompson, I’m off to the company, it’s up to you to feed the ducks today."

James Thompson, seeing her eat only a few bites, also put down his chopsticks, "I’ll drive you to work today, and on the way back, I’ll stop by to get a haircut."

"Mm, okay," Julia Land responded.

The two went upstairs to change into their outdoor clothes.

James Thompson changed first. Picking up his belt, his slender fingers threaded it through the loops of his pants while speaking to Julia Land, "I’ll go feed the ducks in the backyard first."

Julia Land nodded, "Okay."

James Thompson went to the backyard and looked at the ducks, seemingly hearing his daughter’s joyful babble while feeding them in his ears.

That warm memory stirred a pang of heartache inside him.

He skillfully took the feed and placed it in a small bowl, watching the ducks eat with delight.

The sunlight fell on his salt-and-pepper hair, and his tall figure looked particularly refined yet lonely in the morning light.

Julia Land leaned against the door watching James Thompson’s hair.

She noticed yesterday while cutting his hair that he had more white hairs.

After feeding the ducks, James Thompson stood up, turned around to see Julia Land, washed his hands, walked over, and with a smile, put his arm around her shoulder, "Let’s go."

Julia Land nodded, and they walked out the door together.

The sun had just risen outside, with golden sunlight showering over them.

Tyler Hughes saw Julia Land and James Thompson walking out side by side and felt the unspoken harmony between them.

It was an atmosphere no one else could intrude upon.

He tactfully refrained from opening the car door for Julia Land and stood aside.

James Thompson gave Tyler Hughes a glance and a faint smile; he opened the car door for Julia Land, waited for her to sit down, then closed the door before walking around to the other side and getting into the car himself.

Once in the car, James Thompson immediately opened the fridge, took out some bread, and tore off the wrapper.

Julia Land was about to reply to a work message when suddenly her view was obscured by the bread.

She turned her head towards James Thompson.

"You focus on your things; I’ll feed you," James Thompson raised an eyebrow.

Julia Land smiled helplessly, took a bite of the bread, and then continued to look down and deal with work.

Her fingers typed swiftly on the phone screen, responding to their messages.

James Thompson occasionally fed Julia Land pieces of bread, both cooperating silently and in sync.

When the car arrived at the company, Julia Land and Tyler Hughes got out; the driver would take James Thompson to the barbershop later.

As soon as Julia Land got out of the car, several reporters came over to interview her.

The bodyguards stopped the reporters.

A reporter had tried to take a photo of Julia Land getting out of the car, which would have captured the man inside as well.

That man swept the lens with a cold gaze.

The reporter’s fingers trembled slightly, forgetting to press the camera button.

"Director Land, what is your opinion on the fire incident involving your products?"

"How does your company plan to deal with this matter?"

"Director Land....."

The reporters wanted to chase after Julia Land for an interview.

James Thompson watched Julia Land enter the building before instructing the driver to go.

Uncle Moore’s main concern in the morning was the news about Dale Group.

Seeing that today’s news was still chock-full of bad news, he ate a few more bites of breakfast with a cheerful mood.

After breakfast, Mason Moore and Logan Moore came to invite Uncle Moore to play golf with them.

Mason Moore sitting on the sofa, chuckled and said, "Yesterday, a few shareholders came to me wailing."

Uncle Moore put down his teacup, a cold smile on his lips, "Oh? What did they say?"

Mason Moore answered nonchalantly, "They have complaints about Julia Land. Since she took over the company, it’s been one problem after another."

Logan Moore also smiled faintly, "I’ve also received a few calls from shareholders. The recent crises have significantly shaken their confidence in her, but as Julia Land is now the major shareholder with absolute authority, there’s nothing they can do about her."

Uncle Moore chuckled, "It’s about time; let’s go play."

Claire Hamilton just happened to come downstairs, and she called out to Uncle Moore, "Husband, wait."

Uncle Moore stopped and turned to wait for Claire Hamilton.

Claire Hamilton walked over, greeted Mason Moore and others first, then spoke to Uncle Moore, "Mrs. Turner just called and asked me out to play mahjong, should I go?"

Uncle Moore probably guessed that it was Shareholder Turner who had Mrs. Turner probe for information. He nodded and said with a smile, "Go ahead."

He believed Claire Hamilton knew what to say; his wife was smart, unlike his foolish ex-wife.

"Alright, got it," Claire Hamilton said gently, with a confident smile on her face.

Uncle Moore nodded in satisfaction and then said to Mason Moore and the others, "Let’s go, it’s getting late."

Claire Hamilton went upstairs to get ready before leaving for Mrs. Turner’s house.

After arriving at the Turner Family’s, Claire Hamilton was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Turner.

Two other ladies were already waiting at the mahjong table for Claire Hamilton.

Enough for a full table, the four of them played mahjong leisurely while chatting.

Mrs. Turner cautiously asked Claire Hamilton about Dale Group, "The incident with Dale Group’s counterfeit and defective products causing a fire has been a big deal. Mrs. Moore, has your husband told you about it?"
