Chapter 293: Chapter 293: No Regrets Possible

The next day, in the afternoon at two o’clock sharp,

Mason Moore and Logan Moore arrived at the hospital.

"Is Julia Land’s health not so good? Why has she been hospitalized for such a long time?" Mason spoke up as soon as he saw that only a few of them were in the elevator.

"It doesn’t matter to us whether she’s doing well or not, she’s not part of the Moore Family," Daniel Moore said coldly.

The elevator doors opened, and they went to Julia Land’s hospital room.

It was only after they entered the room that they realized there were other shareholders present who were not part of the Moore Family.

Mason and Logan exchanged glances.

It was odd; why were the other shareholders here as well?

Julia Land smiled and gestured towards the couch, inviting Mason and the others to sit down.

Tyler Hughes poured tea for them.

"Due to my health, I’m sorry for having to invite everyone to discuss matters here at the hospital today," Julia spoke with politeness.

An impatient shareholder named Turner got straight to the point, "Director Land, you called us here today; what is it you want to discuss?"

Julia smiled faintly, "I won’t beat around the bush. Mason and the others are planning to sell their shares, and I intend to buy them all, but at market price only."

Hearing that the Moores intended to sell their shares, the other shareholders exchanged puzzled looks.

Why would they want to sell their shares all of a sudden?

Shareholder Turner, puzzled, asked, "Is there... something wrong with our company?"

If the company was profiting, who would want to sell their shares? An idiot?

In an instant, Mason and the others understood Julia’s intent. She worried that the sudden sale of shares by the Moore Family might cause unrest among the other shareholders, which was why she had called all the major shareholders here.

Mason, anxious that he might not be able to sell the shares this time, quickly explained with a smile, "Shareholder Turner, the company’s performance is indeed very good. We just feel that since the Moore Group has become the Dale Group, it has lost its sense of being a family business, and so we have chosen to withdraw."

Although Shareholder Turner still had his doubts, he didn’t pursue them further.

Julia nodded with a faint smile, "I understand the Moore Family’s perspective, especially now that the company is known as the Dale Group."

Mason felt a twinge of annoyance in his heart.

Julia continued to smile lightly, "I am willing to purchase your shares at the market price."

Mason and the others inwardly breathed a sigh of relief. They didn’t dare to raise the price this time, lest Julia decide not to buy at all.

"Then we’ll sell the shares at the market price," Logan said.

Julia smiled, "Good."

Tyler handed over the pre-prepared share purchase contracts to Mason and his group.

Julia turned to Shareholder Turner with a friendly demeanor, "If any of you are also interested in selling your shares, please consider selling them to me first."

Shareholder Turner nodded his head.

After signing the share purchase contracts, Mason smiled at Julia Land, "Director Land, I hope the company’s future will ’rise to new heights.’"

The antonym of "rise to new heights" is to plunge drastically.

His words were laced with sarcasm.

However, Julia only responded with a light smile, "Thank you for your kind words."

After Mason and the others left the hospital room, the rest of the shareholders also departed, filled with confusion.

Tyler took charge of escorting the shareholders out. When he saw Shareholder Turner talking with Mason and his group, his eyes flickered, and with a smile, he turned and walked back into the hospital.

Returning to the hospital room, Tyler saw Julia deep in thought and spoke softly, "Boss, Shareholder Turner seems to have invited Mason and the others for a chat."

Julia nodded, surmising that Shareholder Turner and the others were beating the drum in their hearts, and soon, Uncle Moore would likely also contact her about selling shares.

Meanwhile, downstairs in the hospital,

Shareholder Turner invited Mason and the others to join him for tea, mostly because he wanted to probe the situation.

Is there really no problem with the company?

"Let’s find a place to have a good chat, now that everyone is here today."

Mason Moore smiled, well aware of Shareholder Turner and their concerns, "Okay."

Once at the tea house, the group sat together, and Shareholder Turner couldn’t help but speak up, "Mason, did you really sell the shares just because you didn’t want to hold them? Is there really... no problem within the company?"

Mason Moore set down his teacup, and with a slight smile, he said, "The company’s performance is indeed very good, which you should already know. As for whether there is any problem with the company, everything is normal up to this point."

His words were said, but they were as though they hadn’t been said.

The more Shareholder Turner listened, the more unsettled he felt.

He glanced at the other shareholders and noticed that they all harbored some doubts.

Mason Moore wanted exactly this effect, hoping that everyone would sell their shares.

At four o’clock in the afternoon, Julia Land indeed received a call from Uncle Moore.

"Julia Land, I heard that Mason and the others have already sold their company shares. Given the circumstances, I am also planning to sell my shares," said Uncle Moore with a tone filled with a hint of helplessness but seemingly deliberately showing weakness.

Julia Land responded indifferently, "Okay, when shall we sign the contract?"

To avoid any further complications, Uncle Moore naturally chose the sooner, the better, "I’ll come to the hospital to sign the contract in a little while."

Julia Land replied calmly, "That’s fine."

In less than half an hour, Uncle Moore rushed to the hospital.

The contract signing process went smoothly, with no unnecessary chit-chat from either side.

Once the contract had been signed, Uncle Moore quickly left.

From Uncle Moore’s arrival at the hospital to his signing and departure, it had taken less than an hour.

Watching Uncle Moore’s relaxed departure, Julia Land turned to Tyler Hughes, "Now that the Moore family members have withdrawn from the company, it means their plan is about to begin. Notify Assistant Scott to report the Quanpin Agency Company to the police immediately. Also, recall the products that have been sold over the past two years and offer a ’trade-in for an upgrade’ compensation to the customers. Prepare for a press conference as well."

What followed was a high-stakes race against time.

Julia Land needed to mitigate the threat to the company before Uncle Moore and his cohorts could act.

Tyler Hughes nodded, "I will have someone keep a close eye on their every move."

After leaving the hospital, Uncle Moore immediately returned home and celebrated with Mason and the others over drinks.

"Now we’re in good shape; next, we just sit back and watch Julia Land’s downfall," said Mason Moore, his face full of mirth.

Uncle Moore said to his wife Claire Hamilton, "Go get a bottle of that wine I’ve been saving. Tonight, I want to drink with my cousins."

Claire Hamilton smiled gently, "Alright."

As she turned to fetch the wine, Uncle Moore and the others chatted jubilantly.

The clinking of wine glasses filled the air with joyous celebration.

At this moment, at the Moore Estate, Matthew Moore learned that Uncle Moore and the others had sold all their shares in the company. He wasn’t very interested in getting involved, but they were still Moore family members after all, so he decided to call Uncle Moore.

Uncle Moore’s eyes grew colder when he received Matthew Moore’s call.

After answering, he learned the purpose of Matthew Moore’s call.

He immediately lashed out, "Matthew Moore, if it weren’t for your son Christopher Moore giving the Moore Group’s shares to that woman Julia Land, our family would still have the control of the company. It’s you who brought the wolf into the house, and you still have the nerve to ask us why we are selling the company shares!"

Matthew Moore frowned and responded calmly, "Uncle, I just think that the complete sale of your shares seems rather rash. But since you think there’s no issue and you won’t regret it later, I won’t say any more."

Uncle Moore coldly and scornfully replied, "We don’t need your input on our matters, just focus on growing your crops."

He hung up the phone, dissatisfied.

The company was about to go bankrupt, and the shares in Julia Land’s hands would become worthless.

Regret? They wouldn’t regret.

The one who would regret would be Julia Land!
