Chapter 291: Chapter 291 James Thompson is Captured

James Thompson waited until Julia Land fell asleep, then he quietly left the hospital room.

The sound of the door opening without a sound was particularly noticeable in the silent ward.

Julia Land hadn’t really fallen asleep; she heard some noise and slowly opened her eyes.

James Thompson walked out of the hospital, got into his car, and the vehicle quickly drove away from the hospital, heading towards the direction of the castle.

Although sunlight streamed brightly onto the car windows outside, the atmosphere inside the car was cold as winter.

The car entered the castle grounds, Jasper Winters got out to open the door, and James Thompson stepped out of the vehicle.

Jasper Winters respectfully said, "We have captured him, but the police will soon come to take him."

With an expressionless face, James Thompson strode into the castle, heading straight for the elevator.

Jasper Winters pressed the button for the sub-basement three, and the elevator slowly descended, reaching the third level below ground.

The underground third level was very spacious.

Only their footsteps echoed.

On an operating table, a man was tied down tightly, surrounded by all sorts of advanced medical equipment.

Hearing the footsteps, he turned his head in terror, seeing a man emerge from the darkness, his figure gradually coming into view.

"Who are you? Why have you tied me up? I can give you money if you want!" The man’s voice trembled, filled with fear.

James Thompson looked down at him with a piercing gaze.

Jasper Winters spoke softly, "Jason Gold, 40, holds a cosmetic surgery certificate."

The roadside in the outskirts of Dunmore City had no surveillance cameras, and with vehicles coming and going, the search was exceedingly difficult.

James Thompson had people expand the search area, covering all the intersections with surveillance cameras that could lead to the suburbs.

In this bustling city, each vehicle was meticulously screened, consuming a vast amount of manpower resources.

Finally, they pinpointed Jason Gold.

James Thompson took out his phone, brought up a photo of Dale Land, and handed it to Jason Gold, asking coldly, "Recognize her?"

In the photo, the little girl smiled adorably with her eyes crinkling at the corners, beautiful in appearance.

She would definitely be a great beauty when she grew up.

Jason Gold felt a jolt in his heart upon seeing the photo but tried to maintain his composure, shaking his head firmly, "I don’t recognize her."

James Thompson’s eyes grew even colder as he leaned in close to Jason Gold, his voice low and dangerous, "I advise you to think carefully before answering. My patience is limited."

The fear on Jason Gold’s face became more evident, but he still clenched his teeth, "I really don’t know her, you must have the wrong person!"

Putting on gloves and turning to look at Jason Gold, James Thompson’s lips curved into a cold smile, "She is my darling daughter, and I’ll tell you something, you’re a plastic surgeon, while I’m a general surgeon."

He took out a sharp scalpel from the toolbox, its blade glinting in the light, "I specialize in surgical operations, like removing rotten organs."

Jason Gold struggled violently with his limbs, his eyes filled with terror and despair, but he was bound too tightly to escape, "Don’t mess around! I really don’t know her! If you do anything to me, my family will report me missing, and you’ll go to jail. Sir, please be calm!"

James Thompson smiled, his voice soft yet eerie, "I’m fucking calm, and if you tell the truth, I might spare your miserable life."

He then deftly and precisely cut Jason Gold’s tendons with the scalpel, the process utterly ruthless.

Jason Gold let out a blood-curdling scream, sweating profusely from the agony.

"Your hands are now useless," James Thompson coldly stated, "You won’t be able to perform cosmetic surgeries anymore."

Jason Gold turned pale from the pain, scared now, this man’s words were serious, cold sweat covered his forehead and his body trembled with fear.

"I’ll talk! I’ll talk!" he finally broke down, his voice shaking, "The little girl... I’ve seen her... she was taken by a man, I don’t know who he is... I was just responsible for performing the plastic surgeries for them..."

James Thompson managed to control himself greatly to not kill the man right then and there.

He stared coldly at Jason Gold, "Do you have a photo of what he looks like after the facial reconstruction?"

Jason Gold shook his head, his speech disjointed, "No."

Jasper Winters passed the tablet to James Thompson, who quickly opened his daughter’s photo, his eyes filled with anxiety and anger.

He held the tablet out to Jason Gold, asking icily, "Tell me, what changes has she undergone?"

Jasper Winters stepped forward to stop the bleeding and bandage Jason Gold’s ruined hand.

Feeling a chill under James Thompson’s gaze, Jason Gold said unsteadily, "Her chin has been sharpened a bit, her nose slightly raised, and her lips filled in a bit..."

As he spoke, James Thompson’s fingers adjusted his daughter’s photo on the tablet.

Looking at the completely altered photo of his daughter, he was so heartbroken he could scarcely breathe and his eyes welled with tears.

His daughter hadn’t even grown up yet; if she had, he couldn’t imagine what her face would look like.

"Is it like this?" James Thompson showed the adjusted photo to Jason Gold with a steely gaze.

Jason Gold nodded his head, trembling, "Yes, yes, that’s it."

James Thompson then pulled up another man’s photo, his eyes growing even colder, "And another man, he’s undergone surgery as well, hasn’t he?"

Jason Gold nodded again, his voice tinged with fear, "He also had work done..."

James Thompson narrowed his eyes, a chill rising within him, "Explain clearly, what does he look like after the surgery?"

Jason Gold swallowed hard, struggling to recall, "He raised his nose a bit, filled in his forehead, tweaked his facial contours slightly, making them look younger..."

After several adjustments of the photo.

Jason Gold nodded, "Right, that’s it."

James Thompson passed the tablet to Jasper Winters, who picked up the scalpel again.

Seeing him take the scalpel, Jason Gold stammered in fear, "I’ve told you everything, you can’t, you shouldn’t do this!"

James Thompson smirked as he slightly narrowed his eyes, "How do I know you’re not lying to me? Did they really change to look like that?"

Next would be the ruin of the left foot.

"Ah!" Jason Gold’s scream, like that of a slaughtered pig, echoed throughout the empty basement, "It’s true... really... it’s just like that."

Just then, Jasper Winters received a call, listened to the contents, glanced at Jason Gold on the operating table, and walked over to James Thompson, "BOSS, Officer Zhang has arrived."

There are laws in every country.

James Thompson made a lot of noise this time in his search, and the things he did naturally could not be concealed.

His scalpel had already moved to Jason Gold’s heart.

He paused for a moment, then returned the scalpel to the toolbox.

He took off his gloves and instructed Jasper Winters, "Please invite Officer Zhang down, take good care of Julia Land while I’m gone, and send someone to find Dale."

Jasper Winters frowned, "BOSS, let me."

James Thompson shook his head, "No need."

When Officer Zhang and his team reached the third basement floor and saw Jason Gold on the operating table, he furrowed his brows.

James Thompson smiled, "Don’t worry, he’s just unconscious."

Officer Zhang breathed a sigh of relief; it was fine as long as the man wasn’t dead.

Although he understood James Thompson’s actions, the law was the law, and due process must be followed.

"Mr. Thompson, you’ll need to come with us," he said.
