Chapter 281: Call a Doctor
Chapter 281: Chapter 281: Call a Doctor
"I can walk by myself, it’s just a few steps," Julia Land couldn’t help but say as James Thompson was about to carry her up the steps again, "Mr. Thompson, look around, everyone is watching."
James Thompson’s gaze swept coldly around, causing people wherever he looked to turn their heads and stop watching.
"No one is watching now." Having said that, he carried her into the flower shop.
Once inside, he gently set Julia Land down but still held onto her waist, afraid that she might accidentally fall.
The flower shop was filled with the scent of various flowers, the air lush with the fresh aroma of blooms.
Julia Land personally picked a bouquet of white chrysanthemums, and the shop owner helped package them and handed them to her.
They were going to the cemetery today to pay respects to Connor Bell.
After returning to the hospital from the cemetery, Julia Land saw Assistant Scott waiting outside the hospital room and felt a sinking feeling, knowing there must be issues at the company, otherwise Michael Scott would not have come personally.
Michael Scott followed Julia Land and James Thompson into the hospital room, closed the door, and handed Julia Land a document, "The cause of the unusual fluctuations in the financial statements from the past two years has been found, several electronic products on the shopping website have seen increased profit revenue."
Julia Land took the document and looked it over carefully before looking up to ask, "Have the purchasing channels and responsible teams for these products been clarified?"
Michael Scott nodded, "The purchasing channels for these products have all been through an agency called Arthur, and the team responsible for procurement had all resigned sequentially over the past two years."
Normally, an increase in profit revenue should be good news for the entire company, but both Julia Land and James Thompson were suspicious.
Because according to the company strategy and market demand of the past two years, such an increase in profits should not have occurred.
Julia Land frowned and pondered, her fingers lightly tapping on the folder.
James Thompson went to pour her a glass of water.
"Thank you." Julia Land took the water and looked up at Michael Scott, "Have you checked the background of this agency called Arthur?"
Michael Scott nodded, "Preliminary investigations show that the company was established less than three years ago, and mainly deals with our company, its legal chairman is named Channing River."
A cold gleam flashed in Julia Land’s eyes, "Continue to investigate this agency, also send the products we’ve purchased from this agency for testing, and investigate those procurement teams who have resigned, tally the number of products we acquired through this agency and sold in the last two years."
Michael Scott nodded and reported another important matter, "Mason Moore and his people want to meet with you."
Julia Land’s first thought was that the weasel was paying a visit to the chicken for New Year, with no good intentions, "Tell them next month after I’m discharged, not now."
After reporting, Michael Scott left the hospital room.
Julia Land stared at the information about the Arthur agency and felt an ominous premonition, tiredly rubbing her forehead.
James Thompson gently patted her back and calmly said, "I will also send people to investigate this agency, don’t worry too much."
Julia Land hummed a response.
"Mr. Thompson, did you buy White Sand Bay?" she asked softly.
"Yes."
The two fell silent.
Their daughter’s death was a deep wound in both their hearts.
After a moment of silence in the hospital room, Julia Land said, "I want to take a bath."
"Okay." James Thompson went to fetch waterproof supplies.
Julia Land turned to look at James Thompson’s back and blinked her slightly sore eyes.

On the other side, Mason Moore and his group each received a call from Assistant Scott, Julia Land agreed to meet them next month.
Mason Moore hung up the phone and snorted coldly.
He said to Uncle Moore, "Julia Land will only meet with us next month, should we sell our shares to other shareholders?"
Uncle Moore shook his head, his gaze chilling, "Don’t sell to others, just leak the news that we intend to sell our shares, I don’t believe she can remain seated."
Mason Moore smiled upon hearing Uncle Moore’s suggestion, "That’s a good strategy, just by letting out the news that we intend to sell the shares, Julia Land will definitely not be able to sit still."
Uncle Moore sneered, "Since she wants the company, we’ll give it to her this time, let’s see if she can endure in the end."
Mason Moore laughed thinking about the fate Julia Land would meet at that time.
The company is not so easy to take over.
Uncle Moore and his group acted swiftly, and the next day Julia Land received news that they intended to sell their shares.
Julia Land raised an eyebrow, turned to James Thompson, and asked, "Mr. Thompson, why do they want to sell the company’s shares? Is it simply because I’m in control?"
James Thompson raised an eyebrow, and the two looked at each other, knowing that it couldn’t be that simple.
"If they really want to meet me, I will see them tomorrow," Julia Land said calmly.
She made a phone call asking Assistant Scott to contact Mason Moore and his group.
Celeste Lewis was at the hospital taking care of Madame Bell when she inadvertently mentioned running into Julia Land.
"Oh, what happened to her?" Madame Bell asked coldly.
"She seemed to have had some surgery and was staying in the hospital," Celeste said uncertainly.
Madame Bell’s face remained expressionless.
Celeste did not continue the topic.
She had purposely brought up Julia Land.
The fiercer the mother and daughter quarreled, the better it was for her family’s Arthur.
After Celeste left, Madame Bell thought it over and immediately made a phone call, "Master Dong, I need your help."
Her voice was anxious and urgent, "Do you have any talismans that can suppress someone with a heavy aura of evil, or Talisman Water to remove bad luck?"
A steady sigh came through the phone, "Madame Bell, evil aura and bad luck cannot be simply resolved with talismans or Talisman Water. We need to identify the root cause, then carry out the appropriate rituals and arrangements."
Madame Bell frowned, "There’s someone with a very heavy aura of evil around me, always bringing misfortune, what should I do?"
Master Dong pondered for a moment on the phone, "Madame Bell, I suggest you bring her here so I can personally assess the situation."
Julia Land would not go with her.
Madame Bell twisted her eyebrows, "I can only provide you with her birth date and a photo."
Master Dong nodded, "Hmm, that can work."
Madame Bell hung up the phone and quickly searched the internet for Julia Land’s photo and her birth date information, then sent them to Master Dong.
Her eyes were filled with a crazy hatred.
Only by hating Julia Land did she feel better.
The next day, Julia Land was still half asleep when she vaguely heard the noisy voices outside her hospital room.
James Thompson frowned and stepped out to check.
He saw Madame Bell and the people she had brought with her, then noticed a puddle of water on the floor.
Seeing James, Madame Bell’s face was stern, "I’m doing this for Julia’s own good, Mr. Thompson. These are Talisman Water for removing bad luck, provided by the master. For your own safety, you better stay away from Julia Land; she will bring death upon you."
"Is there something wrong in your head?" James pointed at his temple and spoke lazily, "I suggest you see a psychiatrist."
Madame Bell scoffed coldly, "If you don’t believe it, that’s your problem."
She turned to leave.
James watched her coldly, "Stop them, call the police."
Unbeknownst to him, Julia had woken up and reached the door, overhearing Madame Bell’s words.
"What police should we call, I am her mother. I’m just kindly removing bad luck for my daughter; would the officers really interfere with family matters?" Madame Bell turned back, unafraid and defiant.
She certainly hadn’t caused any harm.
Leaning against the doorframe, Julia said blandly, "Then I really should thank you."
To Julia, all these things were trivial.
She smiled faintly, scanning her eyes over the puddle of Talisman Water.
Seeing Julia’s indifferent expression, Madame Bell looked at her resentfully, "You should thank me."
Celeste hadn’t expected to witness such a mother-daughter conflict at the hospital today.
Bell Group would definitely belong to her husband in the future!
James spoke to a bodyguard beside him, "Take them to the police station."
Celeste quickly protected Madame Bell, "Auntie, let’s go," she tried to persuade Julia, "Miss Land, she means well for you, how could you send your own mother to the police?"
Julia raised an eyebrow, "I truly appreciate her ’kindness’."
She turned and walked back into the hospital room, picked up a kettle by the door and handed it to the bodyguard, "Throw this at their feet, water for removing bad luck."
The bodyguard acted quickly, took the kettle and splashed it directly, although Madame Bell and Celeste jumped aside, they still got splashed.
Madame Bell raised her hand, pointing a finger at Julia, "Julia Land!"
She became so emotionally stirred that her heart clenched.
Seeing Madame Bell clutching her chest, Celeste immediately knew something was wrong; they couldn’t afford for her to die before the shares were transferred to Arthur.
"Quick, call a doctor!
