Julia Land and Isaac planned to visit Pearwill Group to discuss server technology with Max.

Max personally escorted them to view the testing of the new generation servers.

Elizabeth Shaw happened to be at the testing site; upon seeing the Director with two clients, she stood up, greeted them, and then busied herself with her work.

Max turned to Julia and said, "Take a look at this server, this model is a top-of-the-line server equipped with high-performance, multi-core, multi-thread processors, and has large capacity memory suitable for applications requiring extensive data caching and high-speed access."

Julia nodded and asked, "What about its security and management?"

Max had Elizabeth answer Julia’s question.

Elizabeth respectfully replied, "This model supports TPM and hardware encryption to ensure the security of data transmissions and storage, includes built-in advanced firewalls and security software, and supports remote management technologies like IPMI, iLO, DRAC, etc."

Julia nodded; she glanced at Elizabeth’s name tag—’Elizabeth Shaw’; their surnames were but a mere letter apart.

A bit surprised.

After answering Julia’s question respectfully, Elizabeth continued to busily focus on her work.

Max continued showing Julia and Isaac around, explaining in detail the server’s various functions and technical specifications.

"Look here, this is the cooling system. This server uses liquid cooling technology which effectively reduces the device’s temperature and improves operational efficiency," Max explained, pointing at a part of the server.

Isaac expressed his admiration, "This server’s performance is indeed very powerful and fully meets our needs."

After showing them around the testing area, Max invited Julia and Isaac to the meeting room to discuss collaboration in detail.

Elizabeth watched them leave, her gaze resting on Julia with a bit of envy; so young, yet she seemed very accomplished.

Colleagues from the testing department quietly approached, "Elizabeth, do you know which company those two are from?"

Elizabeth shook her head, "Not sure."

If she were still the CEO’s secretary, she would know the background of these two clients.

Inside the meeting room.

Technical documents about the server were laid out on the table.

Max thoroughly explained the specifics of the collaboration and technical support.

Julia listened attentively, occasionally voicing her own opinions.

The three parties reached an agreement.

Normally, they would have signed the collaboration agreement right after reaching a consensus.

However, Max gave Julia a look and said with a smile, "Let’s sign the contract in a couple of days; the contract isn’t ready yet. I have something else tomorrow and won’t be at the company. There are many tourist spots here in Inkwell City, you could look around."

He was just curious about what exactly had happened between Julia and James Thompson.

If they signed now, she would probably have to return to her country.

The two of them had met at a banquet the night before and acted as if they didn’t know each other.

Max purposely delayed signing the contract for two more days.

Just staying here for two more days; Julia and Isaac had no objections.

After discussing official matters, Max invited Julia and her companion to lunch.

Julia had no idea that Max was inviting them to dine at James Thompson’s place.

"Mr. Thompson," Julia greeted with a smile.

James Thompson also smiled and nodded in response, "Director Land, Isaac, welcome."

His gaze shifted to Max, carrying a hint of warning.

Max touched his nose.

Jasper Winters went to instruct the butler to prepare the dishes Julia liked.

Max introduced Isaac to interesting places in Inkwell City, "Saint Lawrence Cathedral has a history of two hundred years, you can visit there; I’ve arranged two guides to take you."

Isaac nodded, "I’ve heard of it before and have always wanted to visit, but I’ve never had the time."

Julia looked up and saw Mr. Thompson also watching her from across the living room.

When it came time to eat, Julia noticed all her favorite dishes on the dining table, her eyes slightly moved.

At that moment, only a box of vegetarian food was placed in front of James Thompson.

"I eat vegetarian, please feel free," said James Thompson.

Julia’s gaze lingered for a few seconds on the vegetarian box in front of him, and she incredulously looked up at him.

She felt a complex mix of emotions stirring inside her.

James Thompson noticed her gaze and gave a faint smile.

Julia composed herself.

After the meal, everyone left James Thompson’s house.

During the whole half-day, Max hadn’t heard any conversation between James Thompson and Julia.

Julia got into the car.

Tyler Hughes reported to Julia, "Assistant Scott called looking for you."

Julia nodded, "I will contact him once we are back at the hotel."

She turned her head to look out the window as the car slowly moved away from Mr. Thompson’s residence.

Back in her hotel room, Julia immediately called Michael Scott.

His steady voice came through the phone, "Director, Uncle Moore has been released on bail."

Julia frowned slightly, "That was quick."

Michael continued, "There is also something about the Bell Family; Maxwell Bell and Miss Celeste Lewis from the Lewis Family are planning to marry."

Julia paused slightly, "Maxwell Bell and Celeste?"

But this matter didn’t concern her much.

"Keep a close eye on those from the Moore Family; I will still be here for about two more days before heading back to Capital City."

After giving her instructions, Julia wrapped up the important company matters with Michael and then hung up.

While she was showering, thinking about company matters, she accidentally slipped.

Fortunately, she reacted quickly, managing to brace herself with her hands on the floor, but her knee hit the ground, causing her to gasp in pain.

After the pain eased slightly, she slowly stood up, her knee injured.

She first put on her bathrobe, moved to change into a skirt, and then picked up her phone to call Tyler.

"Assistant Hughes, come here, I slipped in the bathroom," she said, her voice tinged with pain.

Tyler Hughes was organizing documents when he received the call; hearing Julia’s weak voice, he hurried to her room.

He entered the room and saw Julia sitting on the sofa, her knee bleeding.

"Boss, I’ll take you to the hospital."

Tyler first grabbed a dry towel as he saw Julia’s hair still dripping.

Julia didn’t let him help dry it, "I’ll do it myself."

Tyler handed her the towel and after she was almost dry, he picked her up and quickly exited the room.

Julia initially wanted to refuse the need to be carried, but the pain in her knee made it impossible to walk on her own, so she had to give in.

Tyler securely held Julia, quickly exiting the hotel, where a car already awaited them.

Under normal circumstances, Tyler would probably have blushed from carrying Julia.

Now, he had no time to feel shy.

At the hospital, the doctor examined Julia’s knee thoroughly, confirming there was no fracture, but advised her to avoid activity to give her knee proper rest, and prescribed some anti-inflammatory and pain relief medication.

"Thank you, doctor."

The doctor had just finished bandaging Julia’s knee.

Tyler expressed his gratitude, then carried Julia out.

Then, he faintly caught the scent of the shower gel from his boss’s freshly washed body.

He realized what had happened.

He had carried his boss.

Julia once again saw the young man’s ears and neck swiftly turning red.
