Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child! -
Chapter 263: Little Brother
Chapter 263: Chapter 263: Little Brother
Julia Land returned to the Moore Group, and she immediately became busy.
She was busy until eleven o’clock at night for two consecutive days before returning home.
The company name change required business registration, tax, and many other changes, so it would still take some time before becoming Dale Group.
Back at home,
Julia Land leaned tiredly on the couch.
Tyler Hughes warmed up some milk and brought it over to Julia Land, who was resting on the couch, "Boss, here’s your milk, I’ll be leaving now."
After all, it was very late, and he felt it wasn’t appropriate to stay any longer.
"Um, you also worked hard today, go home," Julia Land said as she took the milk and thanked him.
Tyler Hughes stood upright, his smile beaming, "It’s not hard, boss. Get some rest early, you’ll be busy tomorrow."
Julia Land nodded gently, watching as Tyler Hughes left before slowly sipping her milk.
After finishing the milk, she went to take a shower and blow-dry her hair.
She was clearly exhausted, but surprisingly, she felt no sleepiness.
With no sign of sleepiness, Julia Land could only lie in bed and stare at the ceiling.
*
Julia Land lay in bed staring at the ceiling.
Meanwhile, Mason Moore and the others were gathered that night, discussing their strategy.
"Are you really content to watch the Moore Group become this so-called Dale Group?" Mason Moore asked coldly, his tone filled with anger and discontent.
Daniel Moore frowned, seeming helpless, "Of course we’re not content, but what can you do? She won’t easily spit out her shares."
A fierce look flashed through Mason Moore’s eyes as he coldly said, "We can find a way to pressure her, let her see what we’re capable of."
Logan Moore sighed deeply, "Her methods are more clever than we imagined."
That woman was not stupid.
Mason Moore pondered for a moment, "I refuse to believe that she can always guard against others, people always have moments of lapse, we just have to wait for the opportunity."
He just refused to believe it.
*
The next morning,
Julia Land went downstairs with a frown, feeling dizzy and uncomfortable.
Her cellphone rang, and she answered the call.
"Little Julia," came Madame Bell’s voice from the other end.
Julia Land frowned, surprised that it was Madame Bell who had called; she wished she hadn’t answered, "Madame Bell, what is it?"
Hearing Julia Land’s cold voice, Madame Bell paused, her voice carrying a hint of plea, "Do you have some time recently? Could you come with me to Sea Pearl City to see your grandmother? The old lady is unwell and can’t handle any shocks."
Julia Land raised an eyebrow, speaking coldly, "Sorry, I won’t go."
The relationship had been severed, and it had to be completely cut off.
After saying that, she hung up the phone without hesitation.
Madame Bell hadn’t expected such a blunt refusal from Julia Land and struggled to breathe.
She covered her eyes and began to cry.
Connor Bell shook his head helplessly, "We can’t keep hiding this from mom, we’ll have to talk about it in person on our trip to Sea Pearl City."
"I carried her for ten months and gave birth to her through hard labor, isn’t she too cruel? Is the Dale affair really all my fault? Who asked them to make enemies with others?" Madame Bell truly felt wronged.
"Lady, don’t cry, the doctor said you need to rest well," Connor Bell thought of his daughter’s brief marriage to James Thompson and sighed helplessly.
Elsewhere, after hanging up Madame Bell’s call, Julia Land sat on the couch, clearing her head.
She heard the doorbell and walked over to open the door.
Outside, Tyler Hughes stood there, holding a bag of breakfast with a sunny smile, "Boss, this place’s dumplings are said to be very tasty."
Julia Land took the breakfast bag and glanced at the printed address.
The dumpling shop was quite far from here, at least a forty-minute drive.
She spoke mildly, "Assistant Hughes, you don’t need to bother so much next time."
Tyler Hughes shook his head, his smile still bright, "It’s no bother, just a drive."
Julia Land, "Thank you."
Tyler Hughes scratched his head, the young man still full of youthful vigor, "As long as the boss likes it."
After eating breakfast, Julia Land went to the company.
Julia Land got out of the car and walked into the building.
The employees inside the company saw her and nodded in greeting; Julia Land smiled faintly and nodded back.
After entering her office, Assistant Scott immediately followed, handing her a document, "Chairman, here are today’s urgent matters that need to be addressed."
Julia Land took the document, carefully reviewed it, then looked up at Assistant Scott, "Thank you for your hard work."
She took another document from her desk and handed it to Assistant Scott, "Give this document to Naomi Gold; it’s the five percent shares I promised her. Keep an eye on Uncle Moore’s situation as well."
Assistant Scott nodded and took the files out of the office.
When he saw Tyler Hughes spinning in his chair, he helplessly reached out to stop the chair’s motion, "So, how’s work? Getting used to it?"
Tyler Hughes stood up and returned the chair to Michael Scott, smiling, "Of course I’m getting used to it. Hey, senior, are you free at noon? There’s something I want to ask you."
Assistant Scott nodded.
Seeing Michael Scott nod, Tyler Hughes scurried back to his own seat.
*
At noon, Tyler Hughes bought a cup of coffee as a bribe for Michael Scott, and the two of them stood in a secluded corner.
Assistant Scott, sipping his coffee, said, "Ask away."
Tyler Hughes got straight to the point with a serious face, "Senior, did our boss really get a divorce?"
"..."
Michael Scott really didn’t expect Tyler Hughes to ask this question.
He glared at Tyler Hughes and warned, "You rascal, don’t get any funny ideas. You and the boss—it’s not happening."
Tyler Hughes chuckled, "Oh."
Michael Scott threatened, "If you don’t heed my advice, I’ll suggest to the boss to have you fired."
Tyler Hughes gave Michael Scott a reassuring look, then hung his head, "Don’t worry, senior, the boss doesn’t even see me as a man now."
"Does she see you as a woman then?"
".... Of course not, she sees me as a little brother."
A little brother is not a man; he’s a boy.
Assistant Scott unconsciously looked down before mockingly saying, "Junior, good thing you’re aware of it."
Tyler Hughes, "....."

Inkwell City.
Jasper Winters first had someone investigate Elizabeth Shaw’s background.
Looking through it, there really was no issue.
He took the information to James Thompson.
James Thompson quickly glanced through and nodded, but still instructed, "Tell Max not to let her deliver files over here."
Jasper Winters nodded and went out to make a phone call.
At that moment, in the Pearwill Group’s CEO office, Max suddenly received such a message from Jasper Winters.
He thought Elizabeth Shaw must have done something inappropriate last time she delivered files to James Thompson.
Max hit the intercom, "Secretary Shaw, come in, please."
Elizabeth Shaw entered the office.
Although she was new to the company, her capabilities were commendable.
Max gave her a glance and said gently, "Secretary Shaw, you’ll report to the test department later."
Upon hearing this, Elizabeth Shaw was puzzled, "Mr. Chairman, did I do something wrong?"
Max shook his head, still smiling, "No, Secretary Shaw, you’ve done well. This is just some company arrangement, go ahead to the test department."
Although still puzzled, Elizabeth Shaw nodded, "Okay, I understand."
She left the CEO’s office, but was utterly perplexed.
Back at her desk, Elizabeth Shaw gathered some personal belongings, preparing to report to the test department.
On her way to the test department, she pondered her recent work performance.
Why was she suddenly transferred?

Capital City.
Three days later.
Moore Group was officially renamed to Dale Group.
The new company name had been announced publicly.
Julia Land looked at the new company name on the official website, her expression softened.
Suddenly her cell phone rang.
Julia Land looked at the caller ID, it was Isaac, she answered the call.
Isaac on the phone first politely greeted her, then got straight to the point, "Director Land, do you know about the ACC Technology Conference? It will be held in Inkwell City next Wednesday."
Hearing the word ’Inkwell City’, Julia Land paused, then said, "I’m aware of the conference."
Isaac on the phone spoke solemnly, "I hope Director Land can make some time to go to Inkwell City next Wednesday."
He continued, "Pearwill Group’s CEO Max will attend the conference, and for our cloud project, it’s best to meet in Inkwell City. We need the servers developed by Pearwill Group to complete our cloud project."
