Chapter 257: Chapter 257 Cheers

After so many years, seeing Julia Land again, a complex emotion flickered in Emily Yeat’s eyes.

She turned and left, taking out her phone to call Noah Quarter, "Noah, let’s change the place to eat, I don’t really like the dishes at the Wendell restaurant."

Noah responded from the other end of the line, "I have already seen you."

Noah ended the call, his gaze landing on Julia Land, who was dining there.

Julia Land saw Noah as well, but she pretended not to.

Sophia Hart was speechless, not expecting to encounter Noah and the others, "Sister Julia, this foie gras isn’t bad, try it."

Emily Yeat walked to Noah’s side, handing him her bag with a cold snort, "Let’s go, the food here is awful. Why did you come so late?"

"Traffic jam," Noah explained, following Emily Yeat out of the restaurant.

He no longer had the capital to maintain his past pride.

The reunion was just a minor interlude.

Julia Land saw that Noah was no longer as aloof as before and raised an eyebrow.

After finishing her meal, Julia Land gave Douglas Hayes a call, and they agreed on a place to meet.

The designated coffee shop.

Inside the coffee shop, Douglas Hayes greeted Julia Land with a smile, "It’s been a long time."

Julia Land nodded with a light smile, "Yes, Douglas, it has been a long time."

Douglas, known as President Hayes, smiled, a trace of helplessness in his gaze, "Boss, how long will you be staying in Dunmore City this time? Would you like to visit the company?"

Julia Land pondered for a moment before speaking slowly, "I’ll visit Orange Inc. tomorrow morning. I’ll fly back to Capital City in the afternoon. Orange Inc. has developed very well over the years. Additionally, in terms of charity, starting this year, I want to increase our contribution."

Douglas’s expression turned serious, "In recent years, our company has actually done quite well in developing our charitable activities. Your wish from back then has been half fulfilled. Every year, we organize our artists to participate in various charity events and make donations, particularly for children and youth. The achievements have been remarkable," he said, giving a thumbs up.

A trace of gratitude flashed in Julia Land’s eyes as she sincerely said, "Thank you, Douglas, for all your hard work over these years."

Douglas laughed heartily, waving his hand, "It’s all part of my duty. After all, I am President Hayes."

He then asked with concern, "Where are you staying now? I’ll pick you up to go to the company tomorrow morning."

Julia nodded, "Wendell Hotel, see you at eight."

The development of Orange Brokerage Ltd. had surpassed that of Winchester Place in recent years.

Thinking of the company’s growth and changes over the years, Julia Land felt really grateful to Douglas Hayes.

The next morning, Julia Land arrived at Orange Brokerage Ltd.

Douglas had intended to accompany her for a tour, but Julia Land declined his offer, "Douglas, you carry on with your work; I’ll just take a casual look around."

She picked up a temporary staff badge and hung it on her chest, walking discreetly around the company.

She walked over to the trainee practice room and as she passed by one classroom, saw a young man practicing a street dance and singing at the same time.

The young man’s dance moves were full of energy, and his singing voice was infectious.

Julia Land stopped her steps, took a look, listened for a while, then knocked on the door, "Pay attention to the coordination between breathing and rhythm when singing, and try to integrate your emotions into the music."

The young man stopped and looked at Julia Land at the door with a hint of surprise.

He bent down to pick up a towel, his shirt lifting slightly to reveal his toned waist.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead, looking a bit shy as he asked, "Are you a new teacher?"

Julia Land smiled gently and shook her head, "No, your performance just now was quite good, but there’s still room for improvement. Keep it up."

The young man paused, then a small smile appeared on his lips.

He was actually the worst at singing and dancing in the entire team; he hadn’t expected to be praised today.

After saying that, Julia Land continued to walk around the company.

After completing a round, she returned to Douglas Hayes’ office.

He saw her and asked with a smile, "How does it feel?"

"Pretty good," Julia nodded, "I’m leaving now. Just have the driver take me back to the hotel."

As Julia was about to leave, Douglas Hayes stopped her, "Wait, there’s something I need to tell you. Austin Langston, she’ll probably terminate the contract once it expires."

Austin Langston had already reached the level of a leading singer, and she has the capability to fly solo.

Julia pondered for a moment and nodded, "I understand, we must respect her choice."

She returned to Wendell Hotel and saw Andrew Benson just as he was being kicked out of a room by that girl, Sophia Hart.

He stood outside the room with a look of defeat, and when he saw Julia approaching, he pursed his lips and nodded slightly.

As Julia was about to enter her room, she spoke in a hushed voice, "I don’t know why you don’t explain, but I guess you’re afraid that if you did, it would only make it harder to win back Sophia, right?"

Andrew Benson stiffened, and he turned to look at Julia, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes.

Julia gave him a glance and did not continue. She walked into her room and began packing her suitcase.

The three of them took a flight from Dunmore City back to Capital City in the afternoon.

There was a slight incident on the flight back to Capital City.

It was that Julia was hassled by a certain puppy-eyed young man on the plane.

"Sister, my name is Tyler Hughes, I’m 24 years old, graduated from Yale University, and I’ve never been in a relationship," said the young man, his bright, puppy-dog eyes full of hope as he looked at Julia.

Julia’s expression was one of speechlessness, and her mouth twitched slightly; she regretted not booking a VIP seat, "Little brother, I’m already married."

The puppy-like young man’s shoulders slumped instantly, a look of disappointment on his face, "Ah, you’re married. I wonder why my mom didn’t give birth to me earlier."

Julia sighed. If your mother heard you say that, she’d probably want to smack you.

Sophia Hart was sitting in the seat behind them, and she couldn’t help covering her mouth to giggle. Where did this quirky kid come from?

It was also fortunate that the puppy-eyed young man was good-looking and had an honest gaze, not the sleazy type. Otherwise, his cheesy approach of introducing himself could easily make someone want to call for the police.

Meanwhile, in a luxurious private room at a clubhouse, six members of the Moore Family who held shares in Moore Group gathered together.

Just one was missing.

Uncle Moore took a sip from his glass, his expression slightly somber, "Have you contacted Simon Moore?"

Sitting opposite him, Mason Moore shook his head in confusion, "No, and I don’t know where he’s gone. Strange."

Uncle Moore frowned but then waved it off, "Never mind, it’s even better if he’s not here, otherwise the shares in Julia’s hands would have to be divided with him."

His words carried a confidence as if the shares in Julia’s possession were already within easy reach.

The other people in the room smiled at his remark.

Daniel Moore furrowed his brows, raising a doubt, "What if she tries to buy shares from other shareholders?"

Uncle Moore said confidently, "She won’t. I’ve already spoken to them, and they won’t sell to Julia."

"How are we going to make her hand over the shares willingly?" Logan Moore asked this question.

Uncle Moore put down his glass, a chilly light flickering in his eyes, "Don’t worry, she’s just a woman. Without her bodyguards, what can she possibly do to resist? She will naturally hand over the shares willingly."

The other Moore Family members nodded in agreement upon hearing this.

Uncle Moore raised his glass, "Well, to the success of our plan, cheers!"

"Cheers!"

The atmosphere in the private room heated up once again.
