Chapter 255: Chapter 255 Life Potential

Uncle Moore and Mason Moore’s conversation was filled with disdain and contempt for Julia Land.

They believed that kicking Julia Land out of the power within the Moore Group would be a piece of cake.

Just a woman with no backing.

Mason laughed and said, "When I meet her tomorrow, I’ll let her know that holding Moore’s shares will burn her hands."

Logan Moore was still somewhat uneasy. He cautiously reminded, "In any case, we still have to be careful. She’s been managing Moore for a short time, and she reformed the website, as well as signed a cloud partnership with Asia Cloud Group—a very visionary woman."

Uncle Moore dismissed this, waving his hand and saying, "Don’t worry, we are not fools."

However, they did not know that Julia Land had already anticipated all of this.

She had calmly and decisively formulated a plan.

She was well aware of her situation and knew that Uncle Moore and the others would not easily let go of the coveted shares in her hands.

Now it was a matter of seeing whose tactics were superior.

The next morning.

Julia Land was still dressed in a black shirt and black pants, standing in front of the mirror to straighten up her clothes.

When she went downstairs, she saw Andrew Benson was just there.

They nodded at each other.

She asked, "Sophia?"

Andrew looked up towards the upper floor, "Upstairs."

Julia nodded, she went to have breakfast, ate half a bowl, and then left the house.

She got into the car and said to Michael Scott, "Assistant Scott, book me a ticket to Dunmore City for tomorrow."

It was time for her to go back and see Little Violet.

Assistant Scott complied and immediately booked the ticket.

The car arrived at the place where she was to meet with Mason Moore.

Julia Land walked into the store, where Assistant Scott spoke with the server regarding the private room number, and the server led them to the private room.

Just as she had sat down in the private room, Mason Moore arrived.

Mason greeted her with a slight smile and sat down, "Have you been waiting long?"

Julia said indifferently, "I just arrived myself."

Mason smiled and sat down.

Julia picked up a small teapot, poured a cup of tea, lifted the teacup with one hand, and placed it in front of Mason Moore.

Mason glanced at her single-handed tea serving gesture, his eyes flashing a slight dissatisfaction, "Let’s get to the point, after all, we are both very busy people."

Julia nodded, "Then let’s get straight to the topic."

She pulled out a document and pushed it in front of Mason, "I want to buy the five percent of Moore Group shares that you hold. You can take a look at this document first."

Mason did not bother to open the document Julia pushed over. Instead, he laughingly said, "What a coincidence, I am also interested in buying your shares."

Julia looked at Mason, a hint of chill flashed through her eyes, but she quickly concealed it and smiled, "It seems we both have the same thought in mind."

Mason picked up the teacup, took a sip of tea lightly, his eyes flashing with scorn, "Miss Land, you should be aware that after remarrying, continuing to hold onto Moore Group’s shares is no longer appropriate. The current situation is not very favorable for you, you shouldn’t take risks."

Julia’s lips curled into a faint smile.

"Are you threatening me? How terrifying."

After saying this coldly, she stood up, "I will seriously consider your proposal."

Julia took the document and left the private room. Mason watched Julia’s departing figure, his eyes flickering with doubt.

Would she really consider it seriously?

Judging by her words, it didn’t seem like it?

Julia got into the car, and Assistant Scott turned and said in a low voice, "We have found clues to the origin of the smuggled goods."

She nodded.

**

Upon returning home, Sophia Hart knew that Julia Land was going back to Dunmore City and silently raised her hand to indicate she wanted to follow.

She wanted to see Violet, that beautiful man.

Andrew Benson shook the phone in his hand, smiling, "I’ve already booked the tickets."

Sophia Hart, "...I can’t help but praise you, smart."

Andrew smiled.

Just then, Andrew’s phone rang. He stepped out onto the balcony to take the call.

From the other end of the phone came his mother’s voice, "Ben, when are you coming back?"

Andrew Benson said warmly, "Mom, I’m still busy."

Anneliese King scoffed coldly, "Stop lying to me; are you going back to the country to look for that Sophia Hart?"

Andrew’s eyes cooled slightly—who had let the cat out of the bag? He replied with a light smile, "Mom, once I’ve won an daughter-in-law for you, I’ll return."

At the other end of the line, Anneliese King was silent for a moment, her tone carrying a chill, "I don’t agree with you marrying Sophia Hart unless I’m dead. Her parents forced me to kneel before they would leave you alone. Our Benson Family can’t hope to climb their ranks."

After a pause, Andrew responded, "Mom, you should know that Sophia is different from her parents; she’s the person I truly love. No matter what, I won’t give up."

This time, Anneliese’s voice was filled with clear anger, "Bin, are you trying to fight me on this? Xiao Yuan is good enough; she suffered with you abroad, I’ve seen it. What’s so good about Sophia Hart? A pampered little lady."

Andrew sighed, a flicker of helplessness crossing his eyes, "Mom, I don’t want to fight with you."

In the end, Anneliese stated coldly, "Do as you wish, but I will never agree to this marriage. Don’t bring her in front of me."

*

At night, the room was bathed in soft light, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Sophia Hart took her change of clothes and went into the bathroom.

After her bath, she emerged wearing a bathrobe and saw that Andrew Benson was already leaning against the headboard, waiting for her.

Sophia sat down at the vanity and began to wipe her face.

Andrew got out of bed, came up behind her, and took the hairbrush to comb her hair, his movements gentle and focused.

He put down the brush, bent his back, and hugged Sophia from behind, tilting his head to kiss her earlobe, "Lavinia, shall we get married?"

He caressed her cheek.

His eyes met hers in the mirror.

Their breathing slowly intertwined, filling the air with an ambiguous scent.

Sophia hesitated for a moment, but then shook her head, "Not unless you explain the situation with Liao to me."

The conversation stopped abruptly.

"That’s been in the past for so long, why must you know all the details?" Andrew frowned, annoyance creeping into his voice, "Haven’t you already seen her?"

Sophia’s face tensed in an instant.

Indeed, she had seen them, the disheveled and ambiguous traces.

She just wanted to know why it had happened, especially since she and he were still lovers at that time.

Angry, Sophia stood up, biting her lower lip, and burst out, "So what if I’ve seen them? Can’t you give me an explanation?"

Andrew took a deep breath, "Sophia, that’s all in the past, let’s not dwell on it, can we look forward instead?"

Sophia felt a surge of anger and hurt at his words, "Fine, I won’t ask you about it again."

She hurried to the bed, grabbed her pillow, and without looking back, walked out of the bedroom.

When Julia Land heard a knock on the door, she answered it and saw Sophia clutching her pillow. She opened the door, "Come in."

Sophia smiled slightly as she shuffled into the bedroom in her slippers and placed the pillow on the bed.

Julia closed the door and asked concernedly, "What’s wrong? Did you have a fight?"

Sophia waved her hand nonchalantly, "It’s not important, just a man. Let’s go to bed early, Julia. We have a flight to catch tomorrow."

Julia chuckled and lay on the other side of the bed, "Sure, let’s sleep early."

Although she said they should sleep, Julia knew it wouldn’t be easy for her to fall asleep.

Her mind only seemed to want rest at the still of the night, usually after two or three in the morning.

She thought of her daughter and then Mr. Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was in Inkwell City; it must be around seven in the morning there.

And Dale—she wondered if she could dream of her daughter tonight.

**

Inkwell City, seven in the morning.

James Thompson walked out of the shrine room, his gaze deep and eyebrows expressing a refined elegance.

Regardless of whether or not there was a Buddha in the world, James persisted in his daily devotions.

He hoped that Julia’s rest of life could be happy.

Jasper Winters was already waiting for him at the entrance. When he saw James come out, he immediately reported, "BOSS, breakfast is ready, and today’s schedule for the office is all set."

James nodded and walked along the wooden corridor, his eyes sweeping across the courtyard.

The morning sun in Inkwell City was bright, the courtyard was lush with greenery, and the air was filled with a fresh scent.

Julia and Dale would likely enjoy the weather here.

Jasper followed behind James, seeing his contemplative demeanor, he didn’t dare to disturb him, simply keeping to a quiet pace behind.

James pulled himself back from his reverie.
