Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child! -
Chapter 253: Flying Towards
Chapter 253: Chapter 253: Flying Towards
The car was pulled out from the sea.
Mrs. Liu, buckled up in the car seat, was already dead inside.
After inspection, it was found that Mrs. Liu’s car had been tampered with.
Based on Mrs. Liu taking Dale Land and fleeing, they could infer that Mrs. Liu did not intend to take Dale to die.
Her original purpose was likely to take Dale away and then use her for something.
However, now it was too late.
Julia Land could only pray every day, hoping her daughter swept away by the waves had been rescued and was alive and well.
In the early morning, sunlight streamed into the room, and the alarm clock on the bedside table rang and vibrated.
Julia Land opened her eyes, her eyes dry as she blinked, she sat up, raised her hand to turn off the alarm clock, threw back the covers, and got out of bed.
Today she had to go to the Bell Family’s residence, some matters still had to be dealt with.
She stood in front of the mirror and tidied up her appearance slightly.
Although her face still looked a bit worn, she tried to appear calm.
Julia Land opened the bedroom door and walked downstairs.
Sophia Hart was already in the dining room downstairs, representing an uncharacteristically early start for her.
Seeing Julia come downstairs, she quickly greeted, "Sister Julia, have breakfast first."
Since the incident, Julia had moved in with Sophia Hart from James Thompson’s place.
She had already asked Assistant Scott to look for another house.
"Thank you," Julia Land said softly, first pouring herself a glass of water to moisten her dry throat.
The two had breakfast with a somewhat solemn atmosphere.
After breakfast, Sophia Hart followed Julia Land out closely until she saw Julia get into the car, then she silently turned and went back inside.
Sophia took out her phone, head lowered, and called James Thompson, "Brother Thompson, Julia had only half a bowl of porridge today, and she’s now headed to the Bell Family."
James Thompson responded in a low voice on the other end of the phone, "Okay, thank you."
He hung up the phone.
The morning sunlight passed through the temple windows, casting a golden glow on the ancient wooden floors.
The thick smell of incense pervaded the air, mingled with a desolate aura.
James Thompson walked into the temple.
His expression was calm as he slowly walked in front of the statue of Buddha and gradually knelt down, his forehead almost touching the ground.
He didn’t know how long he knelt before he finally stood up, feeling the numbness and pain in his legs.
He left the temple and sent a voice message to Julia Land, his voice low and gentle, "Little Julia, I prayed to Buddha to protect our daughter."
Julia Land, sitting in the car on her way to the Bell Family, listened to the voice message from James Thompson, her eyes slightly moist.
There is no Buddha in this world, what peace is there to seek?
Seeking tranquility in the tumultuous mortal world
The splendor is empty, the mind clears
A peaceful state of mind exists eternally
James Thompson did not receive a reply from Julia Land.
Jasper Winters, standing behind James Thompson, said, "BOSS, I’ve arranged a flight to Inkwell City before six tonight."
**
Bell Family.
The flowers in the flower beds swayed gently in the breeze.
But the atmosphere at the Bell Family’s home was shrouded in a heavy shadow.
The car stopped, the driver opened the door, and Julia Land got out, her steps heavy as she walked into the Bell Family’s living room.
She wore a simple black blouse and black suit pants, embodying a somber presence.
Madame Bell felt uneasy upon seeing Julia Land, showing a regretful expression, "Julia, I’m sorry, I didn’t know Mrs. Liu would do that."
Connor Bell’s expression was serious; he probably guessed that his daughter had come back today because she had something important to talk about.
Julia Land didn’t beat around the bush, her voice hoarse, "I didn’t come back today to hear apologies but to tell you both that I have no fate with my parents, and from now on, you may consider that you have no daughter like me."
This meant severing relations.
Madame Bell’s face changed drastically upon hearing Julia Land’s words, disbelief filling her eyes, "Julia, what are you talking about? We had no idea something like this would happen, you..."
"Madame Bell," Julia Land’s eyes slightly cold, "Madame Bell, by allowing Mrs. Liu to take my daughter to the restroom and out with her, it shows that you trusted her, regardless of whether you were deceived by her or not, it’s just an excuse."
Tears instantly filled Madame Bell’s eyes, unsure of how to explain.
She also didn’t expect Mrs. Liu to be a swindler.
How could she be blamed?
Julia Land looked resolutely at Mr. and Madame Bell, her eyes unswerving, "Mr. Bell, Madame Bell, I’m leaving first."
She turned and left without hesitation.
She had no family, she never had one, so why bother.
Madame Bell’s voice trembled as she sobbed, leaning into Connor Bell’s embrace, "Husband, I really didn’t mean to do it, I didn’t know, didn’t know Mrs. Liu was deliberately getting close to me, I really didn’t know, Julia blames me."
Connor Bell felt heavy-hearted.
Thinking of his lovely and cute granddaughter, Connor Bell found he couldn’t bring himself to comfort his wife.
After crying for a while, Madame Bell’s heart condition started acting up, and she had trouble breathing.
Connor Bell noticed and his expression changed, "Butler, call the doctor."
The Bell family had arranged for a family doctor at home due to Madame Bell’s heart condition.
After leaving the Bell family, Julia Land got into her car, and as the car door closed, the quietness was overwhelming, filling her inside with bewilderment.
She didn’t know what to do next.
Life seemed to lose its purpose all of a sudden, which felt rather frightening.
She looked down at her phone and happened to see a news conference being held by Moore Group.
On the screen, Uncle Moore stood on the stage, full of vigor.
At the conference, he detailed the events of the Silicon Express shipwreck and smuggling incident, as well as the company’s response measures, showcasing the company’s transparency and determination.
He spoke at length.
Julia Land’s index finger landed on the Moore Group’s LOGO on the screen.
A hint of coldness and disgust flashed through her eyes.
Since she had no purpose, she would temporarily continue targeting the Moore Group.
She was determined to follow through with her plan to transform the Moore Group into Land Corporation.
She utterly despised Christopher Moore, wishing she could thrash his corpse.
Julia Land picked up her phone and called Michael Scott, "Assistant Scott, help me arrange to meet Mason Moore tomorrow."
The assistant on the other end of the phone hesitated for a moment, but quickly responded, "Okay."
Mason Moore owned five percent of Moore Group’s shares.
Julia Land was meeting Mason Moore ostensibly to buy those shares.
However, she knew the transaction wouldn’t succeed.
After all, Mason Moore and other shareholders were eyeing the twenty percent of shares she held.
Even so, she had to put on a show of attempting to buy shares.
The car continued to drive on the road, the scenery outside speeding by.
Sunlight fell on Julia Land’s face, her expression cold, devoid of warmth.
Julia Land continued speaking to Assistant Scott on the phone, "Tell Uncle Moore’s ex-wife about my divorce from James Thompson, and also tell her about my fallout with the Bell family."
Assistant Scott paused for a moment, "Okay, I’ll arrange it as soon as possible."
Julia Land hung up the phone and then received a message from Jasper Winters,[BOSS, he will fly to Inkwell City tonight at six.]
