Chapter 251: Chapter 251 Can’t Climb Up

James Thompson stood on the stage waiting for Julia Land.

Although he was puzzled to see Cody Thompson and the others, now was not the time to quibble over such matters.

Below the stage, Eleanor Thompson had just opened her mouth to call out "Dad," when Maya Chant quickly covered her mouth, "Eleanor, be a good girl and don’t shout, or you’ll get scolded."

Eleanor felt an urge to cry.

The wedding march was playing.

With Connor Bell by her side, Julia Land walked up to James Thompson, gently placing her hand in the palm of his.

James Thompson tightly clasped Julia’s hand.

The officiant began the wedding ceremony, "Today, we are here to witness the union of Mr. James Thompson and Miss Julia Land. They have weathered many storms to be here together, let’s give them our sincerest blessings."

Before the crowd, James and Julia exchanged vows and rings.

He gently cradled her face in his hands and kissed her forehead.

The guests burst into applause.

James bent down to pick up Dale Land and solemnly announced, "Today we have another piece of good news, this is our biological daughter, Dale Land."

Word had gotten around in the past few days, everyone knew that he and Julia had been lovers for a long time.

Seeing the bustling scene, Maya felt displeased inside. She turned and quietly said to Cody Thompson, "I’ll take Eleanor outside."

Cody nodded, "Hmm."

Eleanor stared at Dale Land, being held in James’s arms, hating her!

With the wedding ceremony completed, it was time for the bride and groom to toast with the guests.

Julia went to her room first to change into a traditional red Chinese dress, and the makeup team redid her hair.

In the hall.

Madame Liu and Madame Yue approached Madame Bell, smiles on their faces.

"Madame Bell, congratulations, congratulations."

"Thank you," Madame Bell replied with a smile.

Madame Liu, looking at the well-behaved Dale seated in the chair, revealed a tenderness in her eyes, "Is this Little Dale? Hello there, you’re so adorable."

She reached out and touched the top of Dale’s head.

Madame Bell smiled at Dale and said, "Dale, say hello to your great-aunt."

"Hello, great-aunt," Dale’s clear black-and-white eyes looked up at Madame Liu with curiosity.

Madame Liu couldn’t help but be charmed by Dale’s cuteness, and picked up the little one, exclaiming, "I wish I had a granddaughter as adorable as this."

She held Dale, her face brimming with a loving smile.

Madame Bell smiled in response.

James had arranged for bodyguards to protect Dale, ensuring her safety.

The guards monitored everything from discreet corners, their gaze never leaving Dale.

Madame Liu looked down, quickly calculating how to whisk Dale away without attracting the bodyguards’ attention.

It seemed difficult, but she didn’t plan on giving up.

She set Dale down.

Actually, the best method would be to wait for the day Madame Bell took Dale out for fun, and then take her away.

"Grandma, Dale needs to use the restroom," Dale looked up and said to Madame Bell.

At that moment, Madame Liu’s eyes flickered, and she smiled, "I was just about to go to the restroom myself, why don’t I take Dale along? The bride should be ready to come out and toast."

Madame Bell nodded, "Thank you."

Madame Liu took Dale’s little hand and went to the restroom, entered an empty stall, and closed the door behind them.

After Dale finished, Madame Liu took out a spray bottle and spritzed Dale’s face.

Before long, the little guy’s once clear eyes became drowsy.

Madame Liu walked out of the restroom cradling Dale Land.

Next door, the restroom door also opened, and out came a little girl, Eleanor Thompson.

Eleanor Thompson cocked her head curiously to look at Dale Land in Madame Liu’s arms.

Seeing no one else in the restroom, Madame Liu’s eyes darted around, and in a flash, she had an idea.

She bent down and whispered to Eleanor Thompson, "Eleanor, is that you? Your daddy is waiting for you in the hall."

Eleanor Thompson blinked, puzzled, as she didn’t recognize the woman before her.

But she understood what the lady had said and happily ran out of the restroom, straight for the hall.

In the hall.

James Thompson and Julia Land were toasting with the guests.

Suddenly, a little girl’s voice calling daddy pierced the air.

"Daddy."

It was utterly unexpected.

The guests were all taken aback.

They saw the little girl rush over and cling to James Thompson’s legs, "Daddy."

Someone recognized Eleanor Thompson.

They started murmuring among themselves, "Isn’t that one of the twins Elder Thompson formally acknowledged? Didn’t James Thompson publicly declare two days ago that the twins had another father?"

Others speculated, who knows what the truth was? Maybe it was because of Julia Land that James Thompson didn’t want to acknowledge the twins.

James Thompson’s brow furrowed slightly, his big day ruined. He said coldly, "I am not your father."

Andrew Benson attempted to carry Eleanor Thompson away.

But Eleanor Thompson clung to James Thompson’s legs for dear life; she started to cry and wail, and the scene became somewhat chaotic.

"I don’t want to go, I want daddy!"

Julia Land took a deep breath, reminding herself, it’s just a child, a child, don’t get angry.

Just then, Madame Liu walked into the hall, holding the vacant-eyed Dale Land.

She approached Madame Bell, spoke softly, "Madame Bell, it’s a bit chaotic here, and Little Dale seems very sleepy. I’ll take him out to play for a while."

Madame Bell saw Eleanor Thompson making a scene at the wedding and was very angry, about to go over and take her away.

Hearing Madame Liu’s words, she turned to look at Dale Land, seeing the little one’s sleepy face, "Thank you, please do."

Madame Liu was secretly triumphant as she walked briskly towards the hall’s exit with Dale Land.

As long as she could leave the hall, she would have the chance to take Dale Land with her.

"Dale, dear, there are cute dolls in auntie’s car, do you want one? Auntie will take you to get it."

Madame Liu, holding Dale Land, walked briskly to her own car, her heartbeat quickening.

She had just opened the driver’s door.

Suddenly a bodyguard appeared, "Madame, please hand over Miss Dale Land to me."

Because Madame Bell knew Madame Liu, the bodyguards hadn’t stopped her from holding Dale Land, but it was another matter when it came to getting in the car.

Madame Liu was taken aback for a moment before pretending to be calm, smiling, "Don’t worry, I’m letting Dale climb over to get the doll."

She stepped into the driver’s seat and placed Dale Land on the passenger seat, "Dale, go get the doll."

The door suddenly slammed shut, the car started rapidly. The engine roared to life, and the car shot off in an instant.

The bodyguard’s face changed, and he spoke into the walkie-talkie, "Close the gates! Miss Dale Land has been taken."

Driving away, Madame Liu made a call, "Blow the gates!"

Since Dale Land hadn’t been buckled in, she hit the car door, and her small body tumbled down from the seat, dropping to the floor.

She couldn’t get up.

Unaware, she felt no pain.
