Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child! -
Chapter 249 Before the Wedding
Chapter 249: Chapter 249 Before the Wedding
"What, not calling anymore? We’re all waiting here." Seraphina Langston saw that Julia Land seemed to have made a call, but it looked like no one answered, and soon she hung up, then held her phone as if reading something, without continuing to dial numbers.
Seraphina Langston sneered throughout.
Keep pretending.
Blake Lincoln wiped the sweat from his forehead, it was hot, "If you’re not leaving, I’m going first."
Seraphina Langston glared at him, "Leaving? Stay and watch the show."
Julia Land had just seen a message from Connor Bell; her dad said that the wedding date had been set for next Friday.
She responded to her dad’s message.
Julia Land wanted to try calling James Thompson again when he beat her to it and called first.
From the other end of the phone came James Thompson’s voice, "Little Julia, is there anything else you need to take?"
Julia Land’s voice was calm, "Someone is bullying your daughter, and your wife too."
James Thompson frowned, his voice becoming cold in an instant, "I’m on my way."
After hanging up the phone, Julia Land looked towards Seraphina Langston and the others, smiling calmly, "James Thompson will be arriving soon, everyone can wait a bit."
Seraphina Langston still didn’t take it seriously, "We’ll just wait and see."
She still thought Julia Land was playing mind games.
A few minutes later, James Thompson’s figure appeared in everyone’s line of sight.
The man strode over, his face stern, naturally exuding an authoritative presence that demanded attention.
Seeing James Thompson actually arrive, Seraphina Langston was taken aback, all her previous mockery vanished.
James Thompson glanced over Seraphina Langston and the others indifferently and asked coldly, "Is it you who have been bullying my wife and daughter?"
He reached out to take Dale Land, now a little heavy, Julia Land would get a bit tired holding him.
Julia Land leaned close to James Thompson and whispered a few words purposefully lowering her voice; she wanted to complain but was worried the child would understand, so she kept her voice low.
After hearing her out, James Thompson’s eyes became even colder, "What should be said and what shouldn’t, you’re all grown up, don’t you know? Get lost, I’ll have a good talk with your parents."
Seraphina Langston hurriedly stepped forward to explain, she hadn’t expected Julia Land to be serious, who didn’t know about the feud between Christopher Moore and the Thompson Family, how could James Thompson possibly let Moore’s daughter-in-law be together with them!
Now the facts were right in front of her.
"Mr. Thompson, we were wrong, we promise we won’t talk nonsense again."
Seraphina Langston and her friends nodded repeatedly, looking very afraid.
Another girl also stepped forward to speak, "We’re sorry, Mr. Thompson, it was truly unintentional, please forgive us."
"You should be apologizing to my wife," James Thompson ignored her excuse, and with one arm around Julia Land’s waist, said, "Let’s go, Sophia and the others have already started the barbecue."
Blake Lincoln waited for James Thompson and Julia Land to leave, then cursed at his bad luck, "I told you to leave earlier, but you didn’t, serves you right, I’m off."
Celeste Lewis was initially a bit scared, but now she was no longer afraid.
Her cousin, Jasmine Lewis, still had a decent relationship with James Thompson, and today’s events had nothing to do with her.
Seraphina Langston bit her lips, it was over, she didn’t know if her dad would scold her.

James Thompson was truly angry, "Should we have the banquet earlier?"
Originally, they had planned to announce their daughter’s identity during the wedding, but now James Thompson was really upset.
Julia Land said calmly, "My dad just sent a message, next Friday is a good day for a wedding."
They were not short of funds or manpower, and James Thompson had long been preparing the wedding venue and all the necessary things for the wedding.
Now we just need to set the wedding date, and then send out the invitations.
The two of them arrived at the camping area where Andrew Benson and Sophia Hart had already prepared the barbecue ingredients.
The food hissed on the grill, filling the air with the aroma of grilled meat.
Seeing them approach, Sophia Hart called out, "Dale, my darling, come taste the meat your aunt has grilled."
James Thompson put Dale Land down and let her go over to Sophia Hart while he took Julia Land to sit down.
Seeing Sophia trying to feed Dale the skewer she had grilled, Andrew hurriedly intervened, offering his own grilled meat, "Let the little one eat what I’ve grilled. Yours, I expect, doesn’t taste good."
Sophia Hart glared at Andrew Benson, but also worried that her own grilling might not be up to par, she still took his skewer to feed Dale Land.
Andrew Benson naturally took the skewer Sophia had grilled and started eating. He frowned, "Lavinia, you’ve put too much sauce on this. Luckily, Dale didn’t eat it. It’s all sauce taste."
Sophia snorted, "Did I ask you to eat it?"
Julia Land rested her chin in her hand, watching Andrew and Sophia’s interaction, and arched an eyebrow with a smile.
Perhaps these two...

Thompson Family.
Maya Chant had just returned from the hospital and sat down on the couch massaging her forehead.
William Thompson and Bella Quarter had already been sent off to a school abroad.
But Eleanor Thompson suddenly developed a fever and had difficulty breathing the night before leaving the country and had to be taken to the hospital, where they discovered she had contracted a respiratory syncytial virus.
She was still undergoing treatment in the hospital, and Maya could only wait for her to recover before they could head overseas.
The butler, Huang, brought in a wedding invitation and handed it to Maya Chant, "Madame, the Bell Family has sent an invitation."
Maya Chant took the invitation, opened it, and saw Julia Land and James Thompson’s names written on it. Her brow furrowed slightly.
She felt complicated emotions, not expecting the two of them to marry so quickly.
Maya gently set down the invitation, guessing Elder Thompson would be angry upon seeing it.
After all, regardless of anything, James Thompson was a member of the Thompson Family. For a son to get married and for him to be informed by an invitation would anger anyone.
Maya decided to tell Elder Thompson about this personally.
That evening, when Cody Thompson came home, Maya first informed him about Eleanor Thompson’s current condition, then handed him the invitation.
She spoke softly, "This is the invitation from the Bell Family. James and Julia Land are getting married this Friday."
Cody Thompson frowned, took the invitation, and glanced at it, his face immediately darkening, "He’s getting married and hasn’t even informed the family in advance, and had the Bell Family send us an invitation!"
Elder Thompson took a deep breath, forcefully suppressing the anger in his heart, "Very well, I indeed have a ’great’ son!!"
In truth, Elder Thompson being sent an invitation was not something James Thompson knew about; it was Madam Liu’s devious plan.
When Madame Liu received the wedding invitation from Madame Bell, she saw another opportunity.
Weddings are typically bustling with many people, and it’s even easier for kids to be taken away.
Madame Liu secretly calculated that if the Thompson Family also attended, it would probably be even busier, which might facilitate her plan.
She wanted to use the chaos of the wedding to achieve her goal of taking away Dale Land!
In the study, after Cody Thompson had calmed down, he said sternly, "If the Bell Family dares to send me an invitation, then you will come with me on that day."
We’ll see who ends up embarrassed!
He had not yet acknowledged Julia Land as his daughter-in-law.
Maya nodded, walked behind Cody Thompson, and began massaging his shoulders, "Don’t be angry, your health is what’s important."
