Chapter 247: Chapter 247 Can I?

Sophia Hart turned around, not looking at Andrew Benson, "I’m going to see Sister Julia."

She saw the news, and just thinking about those videos and the sarcastic comments about Sister Julia made her mad.

Her Sister Julia couldn’t care less about being some chairman!

Andrew Benson closed his laptop, walked over, sat next to Sophia Hart, and leaned closer, "Get up and eat something. We’ll go after you’re done."

His thin lips landed on her neck.

The hot breath sprayed on her neck, and Sophia Hart couldn’t stand the man behind her kissing all over like a dog.

She cursed, "Are you a dog or something?"

Andrew Benson revealed a scoundrel’s smile, "Woof woof."

Sophia Hart, "..."

"Get up, what do you want to eat?" Andrew Benson stood up, looking down as he asked.

"Wild yellow croaker, olive and duck stew, wild large conch, black and white premium caviar, that should do it," Sophia Hart got up and sighed, "Selling my body for a meal, it’s certainly not easy."

Andrew Benson raised an eyebrow and continued to work.

Meanwhile, Sophia Hart went to brush her teeth in the bathroom. When she came out and walked to the dining table, her eyes scanned the one sandwich and a bottle of milk, "When is the meal I ordered coming?"

"It’s already here, on the dining table." Andrew Benson was replying to an email and said this without lifting his head.

Sophia Hart stared at the sandwich and bottle of milk on the table, her eyes widening in disbelief, angered to the point of tipping backward.

"Just this? A sandwich and milk?"

"Lavinia, you owe me a lot of money. I’m just reminding you, with your financial issues, having a sandwich and milk is already quite good." Andrew Benson clicked to send the email, then looked up at Sophia Hart, "Lavinia, you’re in a heap of debt."

Sophia Hart’s eyes moistened, she silently picked up the sandwich, tore open the package, and took a bite.

She used to have enough money to rent Adam Steele as a boyfriend, but now she was simply in over her head, unable to afford that luxury.

Sophia Hart’s voice was heavy, "I used to live comfortably, carefree with my rental income. But now, I am not only in deep debt, but my assets are also in the negative."

Her words were heavy, pitifully recounting her current predicament.

Andrew Benson pursed his lips, holding back a laugh, "All you have to do is agree to marry me, and my money will be your money."

Sophia Hart shook her head, "No thanks."

Worst comes to worst, she could go to Brother Thompson to borrow money, but Sophia Hart didn’t want to do that now; she was an adult.

She replied too quickly, causing Andrew Benson to immediately regain his composure.

**

Julia Land returned home from the Moore Group and saw that Sophia Hart and Andrew Benson were also there; she raised an eyebrow.

It seemed Sophia Hart and the others had just arrived not long ago.

She looked at Julia Land with concern on her face, "Sister Julia, are you alright?"

Julia Land patted Sophia Hart’s hand, "It’s nothing serious, just some minor issues that I will take care of. Since you are here, why not stay for dinner tonight?"

Sophia Hart nodded her head.

Andrew Benson also nodded, "Thanks for the invitation."

Sophia Hart gave Andrew Benson a glance, almost rolling her eyes at him.

Julia Land told them to make themselves at home while she went to freshen up, and James Thompson hugged Julia Land as they went upstairs.

Upstairs, just as the bedroom door closed,

Julia Land clung to James Thompson like a koala, "Mr. Thompson, let’s take Dale to the orchard in South Water tomorrow."

"Sure," James Thompson supported her bottom and carried her to the bathroom, turning on the water in the bathtub first, "Do you need my help with the Moore issue?"

Julia Land shook her head with a sneer, "Not for now, let them have their moment of joy for a while."

She spoke with an expression like she was making a threat.

James Thompson chuckled, placing her down as his long fingers trailed playfully up her slender waist, hands raising to unbutton her.

Clothes fell to the floor.

Julia Land playfully tapped his chest without much force, feigning anger, "You’ve forgotten, Sophia and the others are still waiting for us downstairs."

"They’re not little kids," James Thompson sneered, whispering suggestively in her ear, "Don’t you want it too?"

These two were always in sync when it came to this aspect.

Julia Land had been very busy recently, and indeed, it had been a long time since they last did it.

Her cheeks involuntarily flushed a hint of red.

James Thompson chuckled to himself.

Julia Land wrapped her arms around his neck and closed her eyes.

His warmth lingered on her pale neck, traveling downwards, as Julia Land let out a few soft moans, her fingers running through his hair.

Downstairs.

Sophia Hart looked at the time; Sister Julia and Brother Thompson had been upstairs for two hours. Why hadn’t they come down yet? She grabbed the remote and changed the channel, "Why have they been up there so long?"

Andrew Benson had just peeled an apple, which he handed to Sophia Hart. Hearing her question, he gave her a meaningful glance.

Sophia Hart took the apple, took a bite, then glared at him sideways, "What’s that look for?"

"Dumb." Andrew Benson couldn’t say anything pleasant, but he spoke in a refined manner.

Sophia Hart shoved the bitten apple back into Andrew Benson’s hand with a cold laugh, "I’m dumb, I can’t appreciate your peeled apple."

Andrew Benson nodded and started eating the apple himself.

He bit into the very spot where Sophia had taken a bite.

Deliberately, he bit that piece while looking at her.

As if he was biting her.

Sophia Hart’s ears instantly turned red as she snapped, "Eat your food, what are you looking at me for!"

Andrew Benson swallowed the apple leisurely, his Adam’s apple bobbing slightly, and then replied, "You looked at me first, so I looked at you."

Sophia Hart instantly turned her head to watch TV.

Suddenly, Andrew Benson closed the distance between them, whispering in her ear, "Want to know why they’re upstairs for so long? Shall I tell you?"

Sophia Hart rolled her eyes, "You don’t have x-ray vision, how would you know?"

Andrew Benson sighed internally, his precious Lavinia was sometimes just too innocent.

Sophia Hart realized it at this point too; in fact, she hadn’t thought in that unseemly direction at all, especially since it was broad daylight, and they were downstairs.

"..."

Seeing Sophia Hart’s shifting butt, Andrew Benson knew she’d caught on.

The topic was dropped just like that.

*

Julia Land and James Thompson both took showers and changed clothes before coming downstairs.

James Thompson had to go to the kindergarten to pick up Dale Land, while Julia Land decided to go grocery shopping with Sophia Hart and the others.

The car headed for the supermarket.

Julia Land was reading the news articles teasing her and asked Sophia Hart, "We’re going to the orchard in Nan Shui tomorrow, are you coming?"

"I’ll go; I’ve got plenty of time," Sophia Hart nodded.

Just then, Julia Land’s phone rang; it was Connor Bell. She answered the call.

"Little Julia, I saw the news; don’t take those online comments about you to heart. Even without Moore Group, there’s Bell Group."

Connor Bell was pragmatic; Bell Group was no worse than Moore Group, and his daughter could also work at the family company, "Would you like to work at Bell Group?"

Julia Land smiled softly, "Dad, thank you for your kind offer, but I won’t let those malicious comments bother me; rest assured."

Connor Bell nodded, showing a relieved expression, "That’s the way."

Madame Bell signaled Connor Bell to give her the phone; she wanted to say a few words to Julia Land.

"Wait a second, your mom wants to talk to you," Connor Bell handed the phone to Madame Bell.

Madame Bell said warmly, "Little Julia, I was thinking of taking Dale to the circus on Saturday, is that okay?"
