Chapter 237: Chapter 237: Got Married

"Ah~... Mmm~... Mr. Thompson~ so skilled, ah~ so comfortable... oh oh oh, a little higher... harder..."

On the sofa, a woman’s voice was deliberately pinched.

James Thompson’s handsome face fell silent, he raised his hand, and slapped Julia Land’s bottom.

"Little Pear, if you keep moaning like that, believe it or not, I’ll strip you right now!"

It’s just massage oil!!!

She was moaning like that on purpose; he knew it.

Julia Land turned her head in disbelief and stared at James Thompson, "Where did you slap?"

James Thompson covered her with a silk robe, he twisted the cap back onto the oil bottle, his well-defined hands carrying the scent of jasmine oil.

He took a paper towel and wiped his hands, then turned to look at her, his deep-set eyes as hypnotic as whirlpools.

Julia Land properly wriggled into her robe as she lay there, she sat up and arranged her hair, "Hurry up and wash your hands, I’m going to sleep first."

James Thompson gave a cold laugh, stood up, and walked to the bathroom to wash his hands.

After washing his hands, James Thompson came out of the bathroom and saw Julia Land wearing high heels.

The thin straps looped around her ankles, terribly enticing.

She, in high heels, swayed her slender waist coquettishly as she approached the man, her eyes gliding seductively.

James Thompson, "?"

The man wore a face full of wariness; when Julia Land acted like this, it usually meant she was plotting against him.

Julia Land smiled sweetly, she raised her hand and drew small circles on his chest, her lips curving up, "Mr. Thompson, relax a bit."

James Thompson’s mouth twitched slightly; he held the hand that was on his chest, "Can we have a serious conversation, please? Like this, I’m actually quite scared."

Julia Land suddenly lifted her head in disbelief, "You’re scared? Am I that unattractive?"

Her expression was serious.

Approaching him with such a bewitching allure, shouldn’t he be craving her body excitedly right now?

James Thompson picked up Julia Land, placed her on the bed, squatted down, held her calves, and took off her high heels, "Let’s talk under the covers."

Too much gibberish being said; he preferred to get things done.

Julia Land rolled her eyes, oh, so he was playing it cool.

Her toes touched the man’s shoulder, "I was inviting you to dance. Why take off the shoes? I saw you getting jealous when I opened the dance with Maxwell Bell today."

She leaned over, pinched James Thompson’s chin, and gave him a smile, "Want to dance? Just the two of us."

James Thompson raised an eyebrow, his Adam’s apple bobbed slightly, and he chuckled lowly, "Okay."

Julia Land let go of his chin.

James Thompson put her high heels back on for her, his warm palm rubbing against her ankle.

He stood up, bent at the waist, and extended his hand in a gentlemanly invitation, his eyes shining with tenderness, "Miss Land, may I have the honor of asking you for a dance?"

Julia Land tilted her chin up slightly, pridefully extended her hand, and he gently took it.

She got off the bed and stood before him.

James Thompson’s hands gently rested on her waist.

"Music!"

There was no actual music.

But the two of them, in the bedroom, seemed as if they were in a dance hall, moving slowly to the rhythm of an imaginary song.

Her hand was on his shoulder, turning gently with him.

James Thompson watched her.

They danced slowly, as if time had stopped around them.

The two clung tightly to each other, feeling each other’s heartbeat and warmth.

Julia Land rested on James Thompson’s shoulder.

The night was tender.

She whispered, "Let’s go to the Civil Affairs Bureau to get our license first thing tomorrow, then go on a date, and after that, a candlelight dinner."

She had waited so many years.

He had waited just as long.

James Thompson’s large hand cradled the back of her neck, his lips cherishingly touched her forehead, his voice husky, "Okay."

**

The next morning.

Sunlight streamed through the curtains into the room.

Julia Land opened her eyes and turned to look at James Thompson, who had already woken up and dealt with matters.

"Good morning, little pear," James whispered lovingly.

"Good morning, Mr. Thompson," Julia smiled back.

Today was a special day, and they quickly got out of bed.

While Julia went to the bathroom to brush her teeth, James picked up his phone and called Benjamin Taylor, "Are you going to take Dale out today?"

The person who was supposed to meet with Chloe Sullivan ran off too quickly, and they didn’t catch him.

This style of doing things looked a lot like someone from Christopher Moore’s circle.

James frowned.

Benjamin Taylor was on a video call meeting when he heard James’s words; the corner of his mouth twitched slightly with a forced smile, "Alright, I’ll come and pick him up now."

After hanging up, James chuckled softly, walked into the bathroom, and watched Julia wash her face.

He leaned against the door frame, smiling at her, "Benjamin will be here soon to pick up Dale; we can go get our marriage certificate with peace of mind."

Benjamin Taylor was a cunning man.

With him around, Dale was safe.

Unaware of the devious label James had given him, Benjamin probably wouldn’t care even if he knew.

Julia turned and caught a glimpse of James, a trace of amusement flashing in her eyes, "That’s pretty clever of you, but is it really okay? After all, Sophia hasn’t said she wants to be with Benjamin Taylor yet?"

James walked over, wrapped his arms gently around her from behind, and whispered in her ear, "It’s a case of one willing to strike, and the other willing to endure."

"...."

"I’ll send a message to Sophia later to ask if she’s pregnant."

She turned around, her lips briefly touching his, "I’m going to check on Dale first."

James nodded and let go of her.

Julia stepped out of the bathroom and sent a message to Sophia Hart: [Sophia, are you pregnant?]

The two of them were acquaintances, so she didn’t beat around the bush.

After sending the message, Julia went to Dale Land’s room.

She pushed open the door, and the little one was sleeping soundly with all four limbs sprawled out.

"Dale, it’s time to wake up," Julia touched her daughter’s forehead, "Your cousin uncle will take you out to play today."

"Mommy," Dale Land opened her sleepy eyes and reached out to hug Julia’s neck; she had heard that she would be going out to play with her cousin uncle today. Her little radar picked up on the exciting news of playing outside instantly.

Julia smiled and kissed Dale’s forehead, "Come on, let’s brush teeth and have breakfast."

The family of three had just finished breakfast when Benjamin Taylor walked into the house.

Dale joyfully called out, "Cousin Uncle!"

The title of "cousin uncle" put Benjamin in a good mood.

Benjamin bent down to look at the little one, "Let’s go, I’ll take you out to play today."

Dale nodded excitedly, turned to wave at her parents, "Daddy, Mommy, I’m going out to play!"

"Be a good girl, listen to your cousin uncle," Julia reminded with a smile.

"I know, Mommy!" Dale responded cheerfully, taking Benjamin’s hand and heading out the door first.

Julia and James looked at each other, "Let’s go to the Civil Affairs Bureau, they should be starting work about now."

The two spoke almost in unison.

They changed clothes and set off for the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Today, James drove himself.

Julia sat in the passenger seat, feeling a bit nervous.

Once they arrived at the Civil Affairs Bureau, they entered the main hall, took photos, and filled out various forms.

Finally, before the staff, they received their marriage certificates.

The steps seemed straightforward, but James and Julia took each one very seriously.

Julia took a photo of the two marriage certificates and shared it in her private friends circle, which wasn’t open to the public.

Yes, today, Julia Land and James Thompson had registered their marriage.
