Chapter 215: Chapter 215 Wuu wuu wuu

Chloe Sullivan dared to gamble with her life that Madame Bell would have a change of heart, precisely because she had once saved Madame Bell’s life.

After the Bell couple left,

Chloe turned her head towards Maxwell Bell, her voice somewhat hoarse, "Arthur, it’s trouble enough if you could call the servants to take care of me."

Maxwell Bell nodded. He wasn’t good at comforting people, so he simply said, "It’ll be better when you’ve come to terms with it. There’s no hurdle too high to get over."

Although he still didn’t know what exactly had happened, Chloe didn’t tell his aunt and uncle, and he didn’t take it upon himself to ask.

Maxwell Bell took out his phone and called the servants, planning to wait until they arrived before he left.

He pulled out a chair and sat down.

He was not a talkative person by nature, and Chloe, being weak, made the whole ward quiet.

"I’d like some water," Chloe said softly.

"Okay." Maxwell Bell got up, poured some water, helped her up, and carefully fed it to her.

After taking a few sips, Chloe felt a little better and softly said, "Thank you, Arthur."

It was at this moment that Maxwell Bell’s phone rang; he looked at the caller ID and immediately answered.

Whatever the person on the other end said, Chloe clearly noticed a look of disappointment cross Maxwell Bell’s face.

Maxwell Bell told the person on the phone, "Keep looking."

After he hung up, Chloe casually asked, "Something happened?"

Maxwell Bell sighed, a trace of sadness in his eyes, "There was news of my cousin last time, but it was a mistake again."

They had been searching for over twenty years; every time there was news, they went with hope only to return disappointed.

Chloe comforted him, "Arthur, your godparents are so kind, they’ll find her someday."

Maxwell Bell nodded.

He hoped so.

When the servant arrived at the hospital, Maxwell Bell explained Chloe’s situation and asked her to take good care of Chloe.

Before he left, he reminded Chloe once more, "Take good care of yourself, and contact me anytime if you need anything."

Chloe showed a grateful smile, "I will, Arthur."

Seeing her obedient appearance, Maxwell Bell turned and left the ward.

Chloe waited a while, then asked the servant to go buy some things for her, using the opportunity to send the servant away.

There was a telephone on the bedside cabinet, Chloe picked up the receiver and dialed a number, waiting for the call to connect.

In a cold voice she said, "If you can’t find someone with three or four points of resemblance, you can take her to get plastic surgery."

The person on the other end replied, "Understood, I’ll handle it."

Chloe hung up the phone, a cold smile playing on her lips.

As long as she could make that fake resemble Madame Bell a little, she would find a way to make the Bell Family believe that she was their daughter, who had been missing for many years.

In doing so, not only could she divert the Bell Family’s attention, but she could also use the Bell Family’s affection for their "missing daughter" to gain more support for herself.

Chloe lay back on the hospital bed, silently plotting her next move.

Oh, and there was Grace Land’s side of things...

At noon.

Dale Land knew her dad and mom were taking her to choose a kindergarten.

The little tyke saw James Thompson had picked out a princess dress for her, and she shook her head in dissatisfaction, "Daddy, Dale wants to be cool, not cute."

"..."

He calmly put the princess dress back in the closet.

"Why not cute?" he asked.

The little girl looked soft and endearing in a dress; how lovely.

"Uncle Moore said this way I won’t be bullied easily."

James Thompson rubbed his daughter’s hair, which wasn’t tied up yet, and said nothing.

He respected the child’s choices.

"Alright, Dale, then let’s choose something cool," said James smilingly.

Dale wanted to dress cool, and there happened to be a little vest and pants in the closet.

This little vest was very stylish when worn.

Dressed in her clothes, Dale looked at herself in the mirror and nodded her little head, her smile shining bright.

James Thompson took a couple of photos of the little one to share with Julia Land.

"Let’s do your hair, then we’ll pick up Mom first."

At that moment, in the Chairman’s office of Moore Group.

"Chairman, I’ve brought the person," Assistant Scott let the bodyguard push Yu Jie Shan in front of Julia Land.

Even though Yu Jie Shan’s hands were tied, he was fearless, with a cold smile on his face.

In broad daylight, Julia Land wouldn’t dare do anything to him.

Yu Jie Shan sneered, "I was simply being kind and entertaining Moore Group’s important guest."

Julia Land looked at him with a cold gaze, unprovoked by his attitude.

From the information Assistant Scott had just provided, she already knew that Dan Yuji was just a pawn.

The real mastermind behind the scenes was Maxwell Bell.

Maxwell Bell had not taken pains to conceal his actions, clearly unafraid of her finding out.

It carried an obvious warning.

Julia couldn’t help but let out a chuckle; the Bell Family really did protect Chloe Sullivan.

Seeing Dan Yuji’s disdainful demeanor, she smiled faintly, "Assistant Scott, take this information, along with Dan Yuji, to the Moore Estate and give it to Madame Moore."

Assistant Scott nodded, gesturing for the bodyguards to take Dan Yuji out first.

Julia’s mouth curved up, and she spoke calmly, "Assistant Scott, keep an extra close eye on Maxwell Bell. If he goes on a trip, arrange for a few uninhibited men for him."

Assistant Scott thought she had misspoken and asked uncertainly, "Arrange men?"

Julia nodded, "Yes, men."

Assistant Scott regained his composure, "Understood."

In the afternoon, Julia Land and James Thompson took Dale Land to pick out a kindergarten.

They were to conduct on-site inspections of three.

Actually, these three kindergartens were carefully selected, naturally, none were bad.

Even though Dale Land was still young, Julia would still ask for her opinion.

Julia squatted down and asked, "Do you like this one, Dale? This is Saint Virtue Kindergarten."

While Julia asked Dale this question, a group of older children from the kindergarten class were playing on the playground.

Eleanor Thompson tugged at her brother William Thompson’s hand, excitedly saying, "Brother, look over there, it’s Daddy."

William corrected seriously, "Last time Mommy said to call him Uncle James."

Eleanor made a face, defiantly saying, "Grandpa clearly said I could call him Daddy. Eleanor clearly has a daddy!"

She certainly wasn’t a child without a daddy!

James saw Eleanor and William; he frowned slightly but quickly regained his composure.

He squatted down and spoke to Julia and her daughter, "Let’s go check out Mary Kindergarten."

Julia, her back to the twins, didn’t see them.

Since James said so, she nodded, thinking perhaps there was something undesirable about this place.

James picked up Dale Land, and the family of three was ready to leave.

At that moment,

Eleanor saw James leaving and ran towards him, "Daddy!"

Upon hearing the call, James’s face turned cold, his expression subtly displeased.

Julia raised an eyebrow, turning her head to take a glance, and saw Eleanor, dressed in the Saint Virtue Kindergarten uniform, running towards them.

James wrapped one arm around Julia’s shoulder, "Let’s go."

Julia nodded.

They were adults with long strides and quickly walked away.

Halfway through her run, Eleanor suddenly fell.

She blinked back tears, crying out, "Wuwuwu, it hurts, Daddy!"

The teacher, initially shocked to hear Eleanor calling today’s ’distinguished guest’ Daddy and seeing her fall, realized the situation.

The teacher ran over and picked up Eleanor, comforting her, "Eleanor, don’t cry. Let me see where you’re hurt."

William also ran over, nervously looking at Eleanor, "Sister, don’t cry, okay?"

"Brother, why won’t Daddy pay attention to me?" Eleanor cried heartbrokenly.

William turned and fixed his gaze on the retreating figures of the family of three.

His eyes met Dale Land’s.

The teacher checked Eleanor’s knee and found only a minor abrasion. She breathed a sigh of relief, "Eleanor, the teacher will take you to the infirmary. It won’t hurt in a little while."

Assuming this matter involved the secrets of a wealthy family, the teacher, though curious, dared not delve deeper.

James and his family got into the car.

At this time, Julia felt somewhat conflicted.

James’s hand held Julia’s the entire time, and he softly asked, "Are you okay? They will be going abroad in a month."

Julia nodded, "It’s fine. Next, let’s go check out Mary Kindergarten."

The head of the kindergarten took them around the campus, providing a detailed introduction to the facilities and educational philosophy.

Dale Land was full of curiosity and affection for the place, her smile unceasing the entire time.

After the visit was complete, Julia asked Dale again, "Dale, do you like it here?"

Dale Land nodded vigorously, "I like it. There are so many kids here, and so many fun things."

James and Julia exchanged a glance and smiled, reaching an agreement, "Then we’ll choose this one."

The two of them tacitly refrained from bringing up the matter at Saint Virtue Kindergarten again.
