Chapter 200: Chapter 200: Her Red Lips

Maxwell Bell escorted Chloe Sullivan to the lounge and poured her a cup of hot water.

"The cruise has already set off, we can’t go back now."

"I know."

Maxwell pulled out his phone, intending to call Chloe Lewis directly.

Chloe’s fingers interlocked nervously, "Arthur, do you think Auntie will like the earrings I shot tonight?"

"I guess." Maxwell didn’t really know what older women liked, he frowned, his phone had no signal.

"Strange, there’s no signal."

Hearing this, Chloe’s nervous heart relaxed momentarily.

*

On the second floor in a private booth.

Julia Land was coerced by a bodyguard to sign, and she cooperatively complied.

Might as well sign.

Even signed, the contract would be void.

She could imitate someone else’s handwriting.

Just then, someone suddenly knocked on the door.

Simon Moore frowned.

There were bodyguards guarding the door, so there should be no worries.

The knocking continued.

Simon gestured for a bodyguard to check.

The bodyguard opened a crack in the door and saw a man dressed in the cruise’s uniform for the waitstaff.

But the waiter was wearing a mask.

"What is it?"

"Hello, guests, here is the wine you ordered."

It turned out the wine was delivered mistakenly.

The bodyguard said, "We didn’t order any wine."

He was about to close the door but it was held open by a hand.

The door was forcibly pushed open.

The masked man entered the booth, followed by several other masked figures.

Simon glanced over, frowning, "Who are you?"

Julia turned her head and recognized who it was.

Mr. Thompson had arrived.

She glanced at her now signal-restored phone, realizing Mr. Thompson had taken care of it.

Her phone was equipped with a location tracker, and as soon as the signal returned, James Thompson could locate her.

James first looked at Julia, and seeing she was unharmed, the coldness in his eyes dissolved.

He pulled out a chair and sat next to Julia.

He glanced at the contract on the table, picked it up to read, and then understood what it meant.

His gaze coldly swept towards Simon, his thin lips curved, "One dollar, quite reasonable."

Assistant Winters understood his boss’s intention, and he handed the contract to Simon.

The intent was for Simon to sign.

Simon wasn’t scared.

He thought for a moment about the people in Capital City he couldn’t offend, and those people wouldn’t normally meddle in others’ affairs.

Simon smiled relaxedly, asking, "Who are you?"

James turned his head towards Julia, "Have you been bullied?"

Julia shook her head, smiling slightly, "No."

She leaned closer to James’s ear, "You arrived just in time. Any later, and I might have been thrown off the cruise to feed the fish."

Hearing this, James instantly glared coldly at Simon.

His thin lips lifted, his hand holding Julia’s, "I am, of course, her man."

Simon suddenly clapped and laughed, "Unexpected, isn’t it? Mr. Moore just died, and Miss Land already has a new love."

James’s eyes lifted, arching an eyebrow, "You’re mistaken, it’s an old love."

Simon was surprised, "Mr. Moore had been cuckolded all this time, could it be that Miss Land acquired the Moore Group’s shares through unscrupulous means?"

Ignoring Simon, James looked at Julia, "Shall we throw him into the sea to feed the fish?"

Julia nodded without hesitation, "The window is just right for his body to pass through."

Simon’s smile immediately vanished as he looked at Julia and the masked men, sneering, "Pretentious, wild men too afraid to show their faces, trying to scare me?"

The bodyguards faced off.

Since Simon dared to use the Lewis Family’s charity event to take the shares from Julia’s hands, the men he brought weren’t just the few bodyguards in the booth.

A fierce glint flashed in James’s eyes.

He leaned close to Julia, "Go outside and wait for me, I’ll have a good chat about life with him."

Julia hesitated momentarily, actually wanting to watch.

James was worried Julia might be softhearted, he lifted her chin, his cold mask touching her red lips.

"Go out and wait for me."

"Alright."

Since James didn’t want her to see, she would obey.

Julia squinted her eyes, smiling coyly as she left the booth.

Actually, if James hadn’t arrived tonight, she could also have protected herself.

**

Julia left the booth and leisurely went to see everyone playing. The second floor’s entertainment facilities were actually half casino and half arcade.

While Julia was playing basketball, a man in a white shirt and suit came over.

He placed a mask on Julia’s face.

Both faces were covered.

He openly stood behind her, guiding her hands to shoot.

A smile was on her face.

The basketball was thrown and scored.

She turned her head to look at him, "Is everything handled?"

James lifted his hand, twirling her hair behind her ear, "Done, shall we go home?"

Julia shook her head, having not yet accomplished the day’s goal.

James hummed a sound, "I’ll wait for you to go home together."

The two stood very close, the faint scent of pine on him, she could smell.

James went to wait in the booth while Julia gave him her mask and walked out of the booth to mingle.

When Chloe Sullivan was holding Maxwell Bell’s arm on the first floor, she saw Julia smoothly chatting with others, pausing instinctively.

Julia gave a brief glance towards Maxwell and Chloe.

She withdrew her gaze and continued chatting.

It seemed the Moore Family couldn’t cooperate with the Bell Clan.

Seeing Julia standing there perfectly fine, Maxwell thought Julia had some tricks up her sleeve.

He turned his head, "Little Chloe, what’s wrong? If you’re feeling uncomfortable, we can go back to the lounge."
