Chapter 198: Chapter 198 Truly Sweet

Madame Bell was not pleased.

It was because she was taking Chloe Sullivan’s side.

Julia Land said indifferently, "It’s James Thompson from the Thompson family."

There was nothing to hide; she had made their daughter’s identity public when she was planning to marry James.

Madame Bell frowned, turning to ask Chloe, who looked very dejected, "Little Chloe, James once treated you that way for a woman, and that woman is Julia Land?"

Chloe nodded helplessly and with a bitter smile, setting down the scissors, "Godmother, I have to go pick up Eleanor and William from kindergarten, I’ll be leaving now."

"There’s no rush, we are also about to leave," Madame Bell put down the scissors, glanced lightly at Julia Land, and then said to Mrs. Moore, "Mrs. Moore, we will be taking our leave."

Mrs. Moore smiled faintly as she saw her guests out.

It was only now that she remembered Chloe had once been publicly acknowledged as the Thompson family’s daughter-in-law.

And those twins.

Mrs. Moore did not know if Julia Land was the third party who had stolen the love or not, these things she could not judge.

The only certainty was that James liked Julia Land.

After Madam Bell and the others left, Mrs. Moore walked over to Julia Land, "Miss Land, I’m sorry."

If it weren’t for the trouble caused by her son, maybe Julia and James would have been together a long time ago.

But just thinking about her son who had passed away, Mrs. Moore’s complexion also did not look good.

Julia knew she could not stay any longer, it was too awkward, "Mrs. Moore, I’ll be leaving, thanks for your help with Daniel Yu-Jie this time."

Before Julia left the Moore Estate, the butler had already packed two boxes of fruit in the trunk of her car.

"Thank you."

Julia thanked the butler and got into the car, telling the driver, "Don’t go back to the office, let’s just head home."

Elsewhere, Madame Bell, who had left the Moore Estate earlier, was furrowing her brows as she looked towards Chloe.

"Little Chloe, I’ve always refrained from asking, worried it would make you sad," Madame Bell pulled Chloe’s hand, "why didn’t you tell me sooner that the woman from back then was Julia Land?"

"Godmother, I just felt... felt that it’s been over five years, everyone is doing well now, there’s no need to talk about it."

Chloe leaned her head on Madame Bell’s shoulder.

Madame Bell’s face showed a bit of anger, "Your Godfather is right, Julia Land is a scheming and shrewd woman."

Otherwise, how could she have seduced James and then Christopher too.

Connor Bell gently patted his wife’s back of the hand, trying to calm her, "Don’t be angry, I only meant that she’s decisive in managing the company."

Madame Bell gave him a glare.

Anyway, the meaning was roughly the same!

Connor Bell answered helplessly, "I spoke out of turn."

Regardless, Madame Bell’s attitude towards Julia Land, though initially polite, was now one of disgust.

Julia Land actually knew Chloe already had children, and was even accepted as the Thompson family’s daughter-in-law, yet she still chose to get entangled with James.

Truly shameless.

Chloe leaned on Madame Bell’s shoulder, her eyelids drooping, a smile in her eyes.

She would slowly make Madame Bell detest Julia Land.

While Connor Bell was deep in thought about something, Julia’s face... seemed familiar.

Julia had just stepped into the living room when a chubby little ’tiger’ rushed over and hugged her leg.

"Mommy! Dale missed you so much!"

Julia chuckled—after all, they had been apart just for a day.

"Mommy missed Dale too."

She stroked her daughter’s tiger cap.

There were five or six small clothes racks in the living room, with all kinds of children’s clothing hung on them.

"What have you father and daughter been up to at home?" she asked, dragging the leg from the clothes racks into the living room.

James chuckled, "I bought Dale some clothes. The little miss was trying them on."

Julia had just sat on the sofa when Dale Land brought her a cup of water, "Mommy, have some water."

The little girl was very considerate.

Julia took the cup and drank, the plain boiled water somehow tasted a bit sweet.

James leaned in, using her cup-holding pose to take a sip as well, drinking.

Julia swatted him playfully, "Mr. Thompson, behave yourself."

Dale Land blinked, covering her mouth as she giggled.

The little one wasn’t quite sure what her parents were up to, but that didn’t stop her from wanting to laugh.

"Dale, go and try on some clothes for mommy to see," James coaxed his daughter away.

"Okay." Dale Land loved to dress up; she bounced off to pick out clothes.

James picked up a throw pillow, blocking his daughter Dale Land’s line of sight, and tenderly kissed Julia.

Pillow down.

Julia glanced down at the pillow, an effective tool, "Should we start looking for a kindergarten for Dale?"

"How about waiting a bit longer?" James was planning to let the little one get used to the life here before sending her to kindergarten.

"It’s okay, we can start looking for a good kindergarten."

Before Julia could finish, they heard Dale Land shouting for mommy and daddy to save her.

They turned anxiously to look, only to see Dale’s head stuck in the clothes.

The little one flailed, struggling to free her head.

"....."

James quickly went over to rescue his little one.

Dale blinked her eyes, looking puzzled, "Dale’s head is too big, what to do?"

James stroked his chin, pondering seriously, "Should daddy try them on to help you?"

"No, Dale is a girl, I need to find mommy," the little one said, picking up a dress to go to Julia.
