Lily Grant’s car had been rear-ended.

The man informed Julia Land about Lily Grant’s condition.

Julia Land hurriedly called Alexander Strong to tell him.

After hanging up the phone, the imposter James Thompson gently suggested she take a shower and go to sleep, "You need to take care of yourself now too, go take a shower and sleep."

She woke in the middle of the night to find the man standing by her bedside, which almost scared her to death.

"What are you doing? Standing here in the middle of the night and scaring the hell out of me."

"Sorry, I heard you crying out from a nightmare."

After saying that, the man lay down on the hospital bed and said in a deep voice, "I’ll sleep with you, relax and sleep."

Julia Land’s mind instantly snapped awake.

How could she possibly sleep with a venomous snake lying beside her?

But she couldn’t say too much.

All she could do was close her eyes and pretend to sleep.

It seemed like it was just before dawn that Julia Land finally fell asleep.

Julia Land was woken up for breakfast.

Being pregnant, she needed to eat three meals on time.

During breakfast, the man opposite her said, "Little Pear, at nine o’clock, Jason will be here to give you psychotherapy."

"Just out for a cigarette," the man said as he stroked her hair and smiled, turning to leave the ward.

After watching him leave the ward, Julia Land pretended to yawn and murmured softly, "Strange, just got up and feeling sleepy again."

She climbed onto the bed and pulled the blanket over her completely.

She hid under the blanket, took out her mobile phone, quickly booked a cab using an app, then pulled back the blanket pretending she had received a call.

She got off the bed, pretended to be on the phone, and walked out of the ward.

She made herself seem like some sort of secret agent.

The man held a mobile phone while watching the surveillance footage.

He saw her take a call and leave the ward, raising an eyebrow.

He said to the middle-aged foreign man sitting opposite him, "Jason, my fiancée suffers from a paranoid delusion mental illness, and I would like to have you hypnotize her."

"Mr. Thompson, such an illness cannot be treated with hypnosis."

Hypnosis merely acts as a suggestion and cannot cure such mental diseases.

Under hypnosis, a person might experience changes in perception, thought, memory, and behavior.

Jason was a well-known hypnotist in the industry, not a psychologist.

James Thompson spoke in a deep voice, "My fiancé has developed these psychological issues because I disappeared for a while, I just want you to hypnotize her with the suggestion that I have safely returned from overseas."

"She is also pregnant and not in good health, please help her."

The man earnestly pleaded.

Jason thought for a moment, "I need to see this Miss Land first. If it’s just to suggest that you have safely returned from overseas, the chances of successful hypnosis are very high."

James Thompson smiled slowly upon hearing this, "Thank you."

She got out of the car and looked up at the hospital.

After sending the email, she deleted the sent messages record and put away her phone.

She went to the convenience store next to the hospital and bought a bunch of snacks. She then called the man, "Mr. Thompson, come down and help me pay; I’m at the convenience store next to the hospital."

She hung up after speaking.

James Thompson apologized to Jason with a smile, saying he needed to go downstairs to bring his fiancée back to the ward.

When the man entered the convenience store, he saw Julia Land with a lollipop in her mouth, blankly gazing up at the sky.
