Chapter 150: Chapter 150 Where did the twins come from?
Julia Land was preparing to take a closer look at James Thompson’s clavicle when the cell phone on her bedside table suddenly rang.
James, who had been resting, abruptly opened his eyes due to the ringtone. Seeing her awake, he asked hoarsely, "Little Pear, are you feeling unwell?"
"Nope, just my phone."
James helped Julia sit up, leaning her against the headboard, and handed her the phone.
It was a call from Alexander Strong.
Julia unlocked her phone using her fingerprint, entered the home screen, and answered the call.
Alexander Strong asked, "Did you forget about tonight’s birthday celebration?"
Julia apologized to Alexander Strong, "Please wish Lily a happy birthday for me. I’m feeling unwell and am still in the hospital."
Alexander Strong listened to Julia’s response.
He unconsciously turned his head to look at Noah Quarter, who had suddenly come along for the birthday celebration that night.
"Then you rest well."
Alexander Strong hung up.
"Julia is feeling unwell and is still in the hospital."
Lily Grant, sitting beside Alexander Strong, said, "Health comes first. Which hospital is Little Pear in? I’ll visit her tomorrow."
Following instructions, Alexander Strong texted Julia.
Julia quickly texted him back.
Alexander Strong informed, "Radiant Health Hospital, Room 1201."
Noah Quarter set down his teacup, "I should go now, there’s business to handle."
Alexander Strong silently criticized in his mind, What business to handle? It’s obviously because Julia didn’t come.
He had never invited his boss to attend his girlfriend’s birthday celebration.
Who knew that today after work, the boss suddenly told him he wanted to come and even prepared a birthday gift thoroughly.
That was really polite.
Clearly, the old man was not interested in the wine.

At the hospital, after putting down her phone, James asked Julia if she was hungry.
"I’m hungry."
"I’ve already had porridge prepared, and it’s still warm waiting for you." James stood up and went to serve the porridge.
Julia’s thoughts still lingered on James’s clavicle.
She thought she saw a small, faint mole, just a tiny speck.
Like a 0.5mm dot on paper.
Normally, no one would notice such a minute detail.
But in bed, Julia liked to nibble on James’s clavicle and was very familiar with every detail of it.
Mr. Thompson’s clavicle had no blemishes, no moles whatsoever.
Of course, judging by just this little detail might also be mistaken.
James brought over a bowl of porridge, sat down, and used the back of his hand to check the temperature of the bowl, "I’ll feed you."
Julia furrowed her brows and deliberately looked towards his clavicle, "Why just porridge? I want to eat other food."
His shirt was now buttoned up; she couldn’t see anything.
"This isn’t just plain porridge; it’s lean meat porridge. Tomorrow I’ll get you something delicious," he coaxed her, "I’ll peel an apple for you in a bit."
Watching James like this made Julia deeply doubt herself.
She needed another chance to look at James’s clavicle again.
"Little Pear, open up."
Julia was speechless, "You’re treating me like a kid, just hand it over, I can eat by myself."
Her body was still weak, and she spoke softly.
"No, I’ll feed you. I’m worried you don’t even have the strength to hold a spoon," James had already brought the porridge to her lips, gently coaxing, "Eat up nicely."
Julia knew she couldn’t argue about this anymore; she was truly hungry.
She opened her mouth and ate.
One responsible for eating, the other for feeding.
The atmosphere between the two seemed very warm.
Noah Quarter stood outside Room 1201, peering through the small glass window in the door. He witnessed James feeding Julia, then pursed his lips and turned to leave.
He had chosen to collaborate with Christopher Moore in the past because a friend abroad mentioned that Moore had been invited to join the Rui Time Research Institute while studying abroad.
That institute was a gathering place for geniuses.
Unexpectedly, Moore still couldn’t beat James.

Inside the hospital room,
After James had finished feeding the porridge, he also wiped Julia’s mouth.
Every gesture was very thoughtful.
He carried the empty bowl away to wash it.
After he had finished washing the dishes, he took an apple to wash.
Julia stared blatantly at James.
Until he sat down with the apple and a fruit knife, she was still watching him.
James’s casual yet melodic voice rang beside her ear, "Have you stared enough?"
"Mm, not enough," Julia sighed, then looked at James, "Can you tell me about your trip to Scott Stronghold this time?"
James was peeling the apple, his deep gaze met Julia’s.
Julia stared into James’s eyes.
His eyes also resembled Mr. Thompson’s.
How could there be such identical eyes in the world?
That’s outrageous.
Maybe she was just sick again, and she might have seen the mole on the clavicle wrong.
Julia looked at the man with a deliberately sorrowful expression, "Can’t you say? You had an accident in Scott Nation, and I was really worried. Are you still trying to hide it from me?"
James casually said, "It’s not that I can’t say, but the matter is already in the past. If you want to know, I’ll tell you."
He was very skilled at peeling fruit, thin and unlikely to break.
Julia watched his hands.
His fingers were long, a bit thinner.
"I went to Scott Stronghold to see Christopher Moore for the last time. Unexpectedly, there was an explosion. Moore was my sister’s fiancé," he paused, then slowly continued, lifting his gaze, "My sister died on the operating table, to be precise, she died under my hands. I performed the surgery, and then Moore went mad."
James raised his hand, still holding the fruit knife.
Quite chilling.
Julia swallowed hard.
James’s words were steady and light, but somehow they felt incredibly pressuring.
Julia lightly tugged at the comforter, softly asking, "So Moore... has he gone?"
The hospital room quieted for a while.
James slightly curved his lips, indifferently saying, "Mm, he’s dead. That explosion killed him; he’s been biting people like a madman these past few years, so for him, this is also a kind of release."
He had no chance of surviving that explosion.
James placed the peeled apple on the plate, cut into evenly sized pieces, looking almost OCD-like.
"I was planning to take you back to Capital City to get married next week, but now let’s wait until you recover completely. What do you think?"
Julia nodded, "Okay, but didn’t you hear the news when you got back? Chloe Sullivan gave birth to twins for you."
James’s expression faltered slightly, and he tugged at the corner of his mouth.
He used a fork to pick up a piece of apple and fed it to Julia, smiling, "I only have you as my woman; where would the twins come from?"
After he finished feeding Julia the apple, he carried the plate away to wash.
The man looked into the mirror and silently smiled.
