Chapter 133: Chapter 133 Hmm Hmm Hmm Hmm

The next day at noon.

Julia Land went to the Sincere Heart Community to find Sophia Hart.

She had packed two lunchboxes and some milk tea on the way.

Knowing Sophia quite well, she guessed she probably had just woken up not long ago.

Julia took out the key, opened the door, and walked in. Sophia saw her, happily came over, and took the lunches, "It’s over thirty degrees today, so hot outside."

"Yes, deathly hot. I’m going to take a shower first, you eat."

Julia hadn’t completely moved her belongings over to Sincere Heart, and still had clothes there.

When she came out from showering, she overheard Sophia eating and talking on the phone.

"Sister Julia already bought me lunch," Sophia, seeing Julia had finished showering, spoke to Thomas Sullivan on the other line, "I’m about to eat, so I’ll stop talking now, Bye Bye."

She hung up the phone and fell into thought.

Julia sat down, opened her own lunch box, and looking up at Sophia, said, "What’s on your mind? You look so serious."

"Sister Julia, after attending your engagement party in Capital City, I’ve decided I won’t come back to Dunmore City," Sophia said slowly, "I’m going somewhere else."

Julia asked, somewhat surprised, "Why?"

Chewing on her chopsticks, Sophia smiled innocently, "Sister, I might be naïve, but I’m not stupid. I’ve started to sense that things between Thomas and me are heading into dangerous territory."

She picked up a piece of green vegetable and said openly, "I’ve heard that his mom has been actively looking for marriage prospects for him lately."

As Thomas’s secretary, Julia of course knew about his mom’s efforts to find him a marriage prospect.

She just hadn’t expected Sophia’s suspicion to be true.

These two...

Sophia smiled, "Sister, I’ve been in love before. I once felt deeply in love, but it still ended in separation. Being in love doesn’t necessarily lead to a happy ending."

After chatting for a while and finishing their lunch, they started looking at the engagement venue Julia had brought.

They finally chose a castle that James Thompson had built a couple of years ago.

Julia had to return to work at Strong Health in the afternoon. After choosing the venue, she sent a message to Mr. Thompson and told him about it before leaving Sincere Heart. Before leaving, she said to Sophia, "Don’t skip breakfast every day, okay?"

Back when Julia lived there, at least two or three mornings a week, the two women would make sure each other got up for breakfast.

Sophia gave an OK gesture.

Near the Sincere Heart Community Building, vendors sold fresh fruits and vegetables every day.

Having no fruits at home, Julia decided to buy some apples right there.

"Boss, how much per pound for the apples?"

Julia picked up a bag, selecting apples while asking.

The female vendor, with her back towards Julia, was bending down to pick up fruits that had fallen on the ground. Hearing a woman’s voice, she stood up, turned around, and said, "10 yuan per...."

She stopped talking abruptly upon seeing the woman in front of her.

Ruby Steele had not expected to see Julia under these circumstances.

There stood Julia, still vibrant and beautiful despite having been dumped by Director Quarter, while she, Ruby, looked down at her own discount market clothes.

Julia recognized Ruby as well.

After what Ruby and her father had done out of sheer ingratitude, they had been taken away by Noah Quarter’s men.

From that day, she had never seen them again.

Julia, with a detached expression, put down the bag of apples, "Sorry, I won’t be buying them."

She turned around and left.

Ruby saw the driver respectfully opening the car door for Julia.

It was a luxury car.

Jealousy and loss overwhelmed her.

Julia had been sent to an orphanage as a child, so why was she living a better life now?

"Julia Land," Ruby called out, catching up to her.

Julia sat in the car, her eyes indifferent as she looked at her.

"Why don’t you ever ask me about what happened back then?" Ruby asked.

Julia raised her eyebrows, her red lips curving, "No need. I guess, you must have taken Arabella Shaw’s money to deliberately harm me. Though I don’t know what happened to you later, seeing how you’re living now, I am quite pleased."

The car door shut, and the vehicle drove away.

Ruby stood there, momentarily stunned.

Julia Land running into Ruby Steele was just a brief episode.

As the car passed by a men’s clothing boutique, Julia asked the driver to stop.

The boutique had three floors.

Suddenly, she realized she hadn’t yet bought a gift for Mr. Thompson.

Feeling a bit guilty, Julia got out of the car and entered the store. She looked around and decided to buy a shirt for James Thompson.

"Julia Land?" Alexander Strong came downstairs just as Julia was selecting shirts, "What a coincidence."

Julia turned her head to greet Alexander Strong.

Noah Quarter was on a phone call. He walked behind Alexander, his gaze landing on Julia and the men’s shirt she was holding.

Julia picked a shirt and went to check out.

After buying the shirt, she felt it was too simple, so after some thought, she also booked a restaurant.

Julia sent a message to James Thompson, "Mr. Thompson, let’s go on a date tonight. I’ve already booked the restaurant."

When James Thompson was on break, he saw the message from Julia. A smile flashed across his eyes, "Okay."

His afternoon schedule wasn’t busy, so he left work early and drove to a florist.

James Thompson entered the florist, which was run by an elderly grandmother.

The grandmother was highly enthusiastic.

"Young man, are you buying flowers for your girlfriend?"

"Yes," James nodded gently as he looked around. "Grandma, I want this bunch of blue roses."

The grandmother had already packaged the blue roses. Her hands were skilled, and the arrangement was beautiful.

"Okay," the grandmother smiled. "I too loved roses when I was young. My husband, when he was alive, would give me flowers every year. You young men could learn a thing or two."

James sincerely thanked her.

After buying the flowers and checking the time, he had planned to arrive early at the restaurant, but when he entered, he saw that Julia was already there.

The restaurant appeared to be booked for just the two of them.

When James saw Julia, also holding a bunch of roses and wearing a red dress, he was a bit stunned, and then they both smiled at each other.

He hadn’t expected little Julia to also bring him flowers.

James curved his thin lips into a smile.

His eyes deep, he walked up to her, bowed slightly, and his large hand cradled the back of her head.

Their hands, holding the flowers, blocked the flirtatious exchange of their lips.

The chandelier above bathed the embracing couple in light.

The beauty in red, the man in a white shirt.

Meanwhile, at Green Auspice Villa.

Chloe Sullivan directed the servants to pack things that needed to be shipped to Capital City.

Her mother, Yan Wenlin, walked into the living room and saw her daughter, who looked well, ordering the servants around.

"Chloe, just sit down," Yan Wenlin frowned as she approached. "Look at your belly; they can handle it."

"These are the paintings I need, don’t worry, mom. The little ones in my belly are very well-behaved," Chloe said sweetly with a smile. "Mom, let’s go upstairs to talk."

Yan Wenlin had specifically come to send her daughter off, who was catching a flight to Capital City tonight.

The mother and daughter talked in the study.

"Mom, let’s not tell anyone about my trip to Capital City for now. Just say I’m on vacation," Chloe cautioned as she picked up a box of necklaces from the desk and handed it to Yan Wenlin. "Mom, this necklace is for you."

Yan Wenlin received the necklace box and smiled, "I know, but should we tell your dad first?"

Chloe thought for a moment, "Let’s not let dad know for now. If dad knows, uncle might find out too."

Yan Wenlin nodded and smiled broadly, "Your dad is easily swayed. Let’s keep it from him for now. By the way, about that woman named Julia Land who’s with James Thompson, should I have someone keep an eye on her?"

She was just worried that the woman might interfere with her daughter’s plans.

"No need," Chloe was always wise, and sometimes taking action might arouse James Thompson’s suspicion, "Mom, there’s no need to bother about Julia Land."

Yan Wenlin trusted her daughter’s capabilities.

Chloe smiled faintly.

Her eyes were calm. In this world, sometimes to obtain something, one must strive for it.
