Goodbye, Ex-husband! I’m Pregnant with Your Uncle’s Child! -
Chapter 112: It Should Be
Chapter 112: Chapter 112: It Should Be
Imperial View Gardens.
In the deep of the night when all was still,
the master bedroom of the male and female owners was brightly lit.
Noah Quarter resisted the urge to kick someone off the bed. He frowned and said coldly, "Get off me."
"I won’t."
Arabella Shaw took advantage of the moment Noah Quarter fell asleep to slip out of her nightgown and crawl onto him.
"Let me try. If it really won’t work, we can go to the hospital. You’re sure to get better."
Both were unyielding, arguing with each other.
Noah Quarter only felt a dull pain in his head; he was a normal man, not actually impotent.
It was irritating to have someone rubbing against him like this.
He could control himself, but not his physiological responses.
Just as Arabella was about to succeed, Noah Quarter lifted her up and pinned her onto the bed.
His gaze landed on Arabella’s face.
Emphasizing his tone, he said, "The doctor already said it’s impossible. Why must you humiliate me like this?"
Arabella’s pupils contracted slightly.
She was silent for a moment.
Then she spoke, "Can’t I even try?"
Seeing he couldn’t reason with her, Noah kept a cold face, "I’m going to sleep in the next room."
He got out of bed and quickly left the bedroom.
Arabella lay in bed, staring at the ceiling with her eyes wide open.
She was panicked.
Everything had been going well; how had it come to this?
She didn’t want to be in a sexless marriage.
Arabella lifted her hand and looked at the engagement ring on her middle finger, yanking it off in anger.
She threw the ring away.
After a while, she got out of bed to search for the ring.
It must be Julia Land!
He must be regretting it!
Impotence is just an excuse!!
Arabella found the ring in a corner of the wall, her expression twisted.
She would destroy everyone close to Julia Land!
Arabella put the ring back on with a light laugh.
Julia Land went to a bar to save Austin Langston, so their relationship must be good.
Two cheap people.
Let’s start with Austin Langston.
Arabella picked up her phone from the bedside table and dialed a number with her slender fingers.
"You can come to Dunmore City now."
"Don’t worry, no one will know about that matter."
*
In the morning.
Arabella Shaw went downstairs.
The nanny, holding Bella Quarter, greeted, "Madam."
Arabella glanced at Bella Quarter, who was staring wide-eyed, and stepped out of the house.
Sitting in the car waiting for Arabella was Sister Wilson. When she saw Arabella with swollen eyelids, she was slightly taken aback.
"Did you stay up late last night? Today’s program is a live broadcast, not a recording."
"I’ll take a nap. Wake me up when we get there."
Arabella leaned back in her seat and closed her eyes, exhausted.
Sister Wilson didn’t speak further and waited until they reached the program site before waking her.
They arrived coincidentally at the same time as Austin Langston was getting out of his car.
There were fans outside the venue supporting him.
Austin Langston had many fans, while Arabella had fewer.
Arabella, wearing sunglasses, watched the two bodyguards protecting Austin Langston enter, then quickly averted her gaze.
Tonight’s program was the finale of "My Voice."
Austin’s stage performance had increasingly stabilized, and with the addition of songs written by Autumn Knowles, the atmosphere was enthusiastic with cheers.
Arabella stood backstage, took a glance at Austin Langston on stage, and turned to ask Sister Wilson, "Do you think Autumn Knowles could be Julia Land?"
Sister Wilson frowned, "It shouldn’t be, right? Julia Land has always just been a secretary, hasn’t she?"
Arabella thought for a moment and sneered. She also felt she might be overthinking.
Julia Land couldn’t possibly have such talent.

Julia Land went to work at Strong Health Technology this morning.
As she walked into the company, she noticed her colleagues’ gazes were evasive.
Julia Land was puzzled but didn’t dwell on it.
When Thomas Sullivan came to work, he sized up Julia Land. "You’re at work. Is everything settled?"
"Yes, all settled."
"That’s good. Could you make me a cup of coffee later, thanks."
"Sure."
During Julia Land’s leave of absence, her work was handled by an assistant secretary.
"Secretary Land, there’s a rumor in the company that you’re a murder suspect."
Assistant Secretary Calvin Brooks mentioned this to Julia Land while handing over the work.
Julia Land raised an eyebrow, no wonder the colleagues she ran into in the company had evasive looks.
"Assistant Brooks, thank you for telling me this."
"You’re welcome."
Thomas Sullivan didn’t like to hire too many secretaries.
As such, in the entire CEO’s office, there were only two secretaries, Julia Land and Calvin Brooks.
Julia Land made the coffee and brought it to Thomas Sullivan, then left the office to work.
Although discussing colleagues’ private matters at Strong Health was not allowed, some colleagues who were close would choose to form private chat groups.
When in small chat groups, Strong Health couldn’t control them.
"Secretary Land came to work today. Does that mean she’s not actually a murder suspect?"
Otherwise, who would still be in the mood to come to work?
"Should be."
"I knew it. Secretary Land doesn’t seem that vicious."
"But it’s pretty bad luck for her to get mixed up in something like that."
"Flies don’t bite seamless eggs; maybe there’s something wrong with her after all?"
"Wait! I just got a message from another colleague, the police arrested Secretary Land again!"
The news about Julia Land being handcuffed and arrested by the police quickly spread throughout Strong Health Technology.
Thomas Sullivan made a call to James Thompson.
"Mr. Thompson, Julia Land has been arrested by the police, and the reason is unknown."
"Thank you."
James Thompson hung up, his expression turning cold. He called Jasper Winters to find out where Julia Land was taken.
He didn’t even have time to take off his white coat; after telling a nurse to have another doctor cover for him, he hurriedly left the hospital.

At half-past ten, the police station.
"Name."
"Julia Land."
"Age."
A female officer questioned Julia Land sternly one after another.
When she asked about Stella Langston, Julia Land realized her arrest must be related to Stella Langston.
"Why did you transfer money to Stella Langston?"
"She traded me a secret for it."
"What secret?"
"She told me that I was not Grace Land’s biological daughter."
By the time Julia Land finished recording her statement, exhausted, it was already past twelve.
