Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Almost Changed Heart

"Mr. Moore has already gone abroad."

As Jasper Winters spoke these words, James Thompson felt choked up.

Christopher Moore was essentially a person with no moral principles.

He acted on a whim, and most importantly, he was as slippery as an eel.

Very annoying.

James Thompson sat on the sofa and asked coolly, "Have all the surveillance video archives around Sincere Heart Community been collected?"

He bent over to pick up a cigarette pack from the table, intending to smoke.

However, thinking of Julia Land, he put the pack down again.

"There is a footage showing Charles King parking his car in the parking lot at the intersection of Jinping Road."

"He walked to Sincere Heart Community, entered the alley, and then didn’t reappear. Also, a surveillance camera at another entrance to Sincere Heart Community malfunctioned the day before yesterday."

"Currently, we only know that the police found the murder weapon in the sewer and there was one eyewitness. The witness was smoking on the balcony at midnight and saw a short-haired woman enter the alley. He only saw her from the back, resembling Miss Land."

What a coincidence, there just happened to be a broken camera.

James Thompson didn’t say anything, but pondered.

Jasper Winters guessed that James Thompson wasn’t in the best mood, so quietly waited for his instructions.

After thinking it over, Thompson said, "Increase manpower for investigation, and also sabotage Moore Family’s information computer system."

Moore Family’s main industries were e-commerce and cloud services, ranked sixth globally.

Every company valued their information technology equipment, and sabotaging it could be quite challenging.

Jasper Winters frowned slightly, "Mr. Moore will likely also attempt to attack the Thompson Family’s IT equipment."

He obviously disapproved of this method.

"Don’t worry, the Thompson Family has recently strengthened this sector’s security. The loss won’t be big," said James Thompson nonchalantly, "My father can handle it."

Thompson’s own private company, besides the public software company, was strictly confidential.

Even Christopher Moore had his private ventures well-guarded.

Jasper Winters’s lips twitched slightly.

He had reason to suspect that the BOSS was actually irritated by the last debate about James Senior’s mistress.

This father and son pair were always at odds.

Jasper Winters mentioned another issue, "The engagement ring will be ready in about a week, but the dress still needs time."

A haute couture dress, from design to creation, including embroidery and jewel setting, requires time for various complex handcrafting processes.

Hearing this, Thompson’s lips curled slightly, and his eyes softened.

Imperial View Gardens.

Arabella Shaw received a reply from Secretary Strong.

Noah Quarter would be coming home tonight.

She had prepared a candlelit dinner and changed into a white straps long dress, sitting on the sofa waiting for his return.

While mindlessly flipping through TV channels, her phone received a strange message.

"Julia Land seems to have committed a murder."

Arabella instantly sat upright.

Who was playing such a prank?

She suddenly remembered that during the engagement dinner, Noah had mentioned Julia Land, could it be because of this?

Arabella called her relative, asking him to check if Julia was suspected of murder.

Her relative replied to her message quickly.

As this wasn’t a classified matter, there was no need for secrecy.

"Yes, but the evidence is still insufficient. However, she is the most important suspect."

Arabella saw the message, her lips curling into a smile.

Eliza Quarter would probably be thrilled to hear this.

She shared the news with Eliza.

Gossip was meant to be shared.

Right after sending the message to Eliza, Noah Quarter arrived.

She quickly exited the chat screen, turned her phone face down on the table, then got up to greet Noah.

Noah had brought her flowers.

Arabella couldn’t stop her joyful smile.

"Sorry, I’ve been very busy lately."

Arabella blinked playfully and said with a coy smile, "This time, I’ll forgive you temporarily. In a couple of days, I’ll start being busy with the show. Why don’t we take a family trip in the next two days?"

Noah first called Alexander Strong to check his schedule for the next two days.

He directed Alexander to move the less important schedules to later dates, then hung up and said to Arabella, "Sure."

Holding the flowers, Arabella followed Noah upstairs, forgetting to take her phone.

But the phone was left in the living room, and no one dared to take it away.

The nanny carried Bella Quarter into the living room.

Bella Quarter saw the beautiful phone case on the table and reached out to touch it.

The nanny gently soothed her, "This is mommy’s phone, not for you."

Bella whined, stretching out her chubby hand.

The nanny held her, bent down, and let Bella touch the phone case.

She took the opportunity, when no one was looking, to flip the phone over; it was locked and required a fingerprint to unlock.

She put it back down.

"Bella, be good, just a touch or two and then let’s go see the flowers."

The nanny took Bella Quarter to the backyard to see the flowers.

Soon, Arabella Shaw rushed downstairs, grabbed the phone, and ran to find a vase.

Noah Quarter came out of the shower and glanced at the flowers he had bought; the red roses were already placed in the vase.

They were blooming brilliantly.

He remembered that Julia Land had mentioned she preferred blue roses, not red ones.

Noah Quarter changed into his house clothes and went downstairs.

The nanny was just walking into the living room with Bella Quarter and greeted him, "Mr. Quarter."

When Bella Quarter saw Noah Quarter, her round eyes glistened, and she reached out to be held.

Noah Quarter didn’t often hold children.

His cool demeanor didn’t scare Bella Quarter; she was just a little baby who only knew to drink milk and sleep.

The nanny kindly asked, "Mr. Quarter, would you like to hold the miss?"

Noah Quarter grunted affirmatively and reached out to take Bella Quarter.

Men holding children, one hand under the bottom, one hand supporting the back.

The nanny reminded Noah Quarter that it was better to hold her with both hands, otherwise Bella would want to cry.

Bella Quarter was quite delicate.

Arabella Shaw came out of the dining room and saw Noah Quarter awkwardly holding Bella Quarter, she covered her mouth and chuckled.

She took a photo of the father-daughter duo.

After taking the photo, she walked over, "Didn’t you notice your daughter is uncomfortable?"

Bella Quarter flailed her arms in a struggle; she didn’t cry, just struggled.

Helplessly, Noah Quarter handed Bella Quarter back to the nanny.

The nanny took Bella Quarter upstairs.

The adult masters of the house were having a candlelight dinner downstairs, the servants were already out of the living room.

Noah Quarter and Arabella Shaw went to the dining room, he scanned the dishes on the table, tonight was chef’s night to cook.

The two seemed to be enjoying a harmonious candlelight dinner.

During the meal, Arabella Shaw brought up her own affairs to Noah Quarter.

He occasionally offered her advice.

Normally after dinner, Noah Quarter would go to the study to deal with work.

While Arabella Shaw would go back to the bedroom and apply a face mask while sitting on the sofa.

Eliza Quarter called her at this time.

"Sister-in-law, I only saw the message you sent just now, is it real or not? Julia Land might actually be a murderer?"

Eliza Quarter’s tone was filled with shock.

This was simply terrifying.

"It’s uncertain, she’s just a suspect," Arabella Shaw said softly, "probably not true, just listen and leave it, it has nothing to do with us."

Eliza Quarter nodded, responding, "I understand."

Tonight with Noah Quarter at home, Arabella Shaw didn’t continue the topic about Julia Land, but talked about other things with Eliza Quarter.

Eleven o’clock at night.

Arabella Shaw was already lying in bed.

She checked the time several times, Noah Quarter was still in the study.

It had been a long time since he had touched her.

When a man stops touching a woman, that man is either about to change his feelings or is impotent.

Just as Arabella Shaw was frowning and lost in thought, the bedroom door opened, and Noah Quarter walked in.

He rubbed his temples and glanced at Arabella Shaw on the bed, "Why haven’t you slept?"

"Waiting for you," Arabella Shaw sat up, her nightgown straps slipped, revealing pale skin, "I thought you wanted to sleep in the study tonight."

Noah Quarter took off his clothes and paused, "I’ll go take a shower first."

Just as he turned around, Arabella Shaw’s grievous voice came from the bed, "Have you fallen out of love?"
