God of Systems: Maker of Heroes and Villains -
Chapter 271 - 271: Taking Over A Boat
A few hours later Ken looked at his pocket watch and turned to look at Keith before nodding.
"It's time, I'll leave." he said and Keith nodded back.
The moment Ken closed the door behind him, Keith turned to look at Juliet.
"Your turn to steal and cause a distraction." he said and she sighed, "I know I said that I'll be on your side but if you're not going to tell me about your plans, don't expect me to simply do as you say."
Keith shook his head and then let out a small smile, "Wars end quick when there aren't many resources to keep things going. You should have understood the rest now right?"
She stared at Keith for a few seconds before grinning, "Of course." she said and then merged into the shadow of a table that was beside her.
Keith opened up his system screen to look at what both of them were doing. Ken was still on his way while Juliet had already appeared inside one of the warehouses where a lot of iron was stored.
And just like he had planned, she put her hand on the huge pile of iron ingots, only to see them all disappear. Seeing this she grinned and hopped over to the other piles in the warehouse.
Two minutes was all it took to empty the whole thing.
She then teleported to her second shadow and repeated the same steps, making Keith laugh gleefully as he saw iron pile up steadily in his spatial dimension.
Ten minutes later, there were two men who were out cold and five warehouses that were completely looted. Once this was done, Juliet crossed her arms as if waiting for something and just three seconds later, a bunch of dried wooden branches and multiple barrels of a familiar green oil appeared in front of her.
She immediately got to work, throwing the branches close to the warehouse's walls. Then, she poured the oil over them before she took out a match box.
A few seconds later, the oil branches caught on fire and the flames spread steadily. After just four more minutes, people nearby noticed the smoke and began screaming at each other as they rushed over to the warehouse.
"Water! Bring water, all of you!!" one of them screamed and multiple men rushed towards a huge man-made well that they used to store water in.
Juliet on the other side, did not sit still and was busy stacking up branches along the walls of another warehouse while this happened and a few more minutes later, the whole place had gone into chaos as they saw another warehouse on fire before they managed to put out the first one.
By this time, Ken had reached the palace and the first thing that he did, was to climb over the wall. The first person that he saw, was a guy who was wearing a khaki uniform that had multiple badges on it.
Unfortunately for the soldier, Ken didn't give a damn about the ranks and immediately sent out multiple hair strands flying towards him.
There were multiple soldiers nearby, but none of them had an eye on the area at which Ken and his target currently were standing at.
Silver hair strands coiled around the soldier's neck stealthily and with a swift motion, cut into the soft flesh and fragile joins.
Even before the head could touch the ground, Ken rushed towards the man he had just killed and placed his hand on the body's shoulder. Meanwhile, his right hand grabbed the hair of the falling head.
Quite a bit of blood spilled onto the ground and also Ken, but both the head and the body were gone before it caused more mess.
Ken looked at the blood that had fallen onto the ground due to the spray a second ago and closed his eyes.
Bubbles formed on his body and his face deformed before it slowly amalgamated into the face of the man he had just killed.
'I don't like this… but it's just temporary…' he thought as he moved swiftly.
The guards ignored him, but he saw multiple men rushing out of the palace area.
Baroma Kingdom had a very structured way of doing things. The whole place was governed by strict rules, which leaned mostly towards efficiency.
Kids would be given free education and training by the kingdom, but in return, their life's occupation and purpose would also be decided by the others. In a way, it looked like it could be an unfulfilled life, but Keith could tell that most people had no problems with the current system.
He watched as most than 70% of the solders left the palace while 30% stayed back. This was also a small part of a huge rule book for the soldiers.
Some of them did look at Ken and frowned, but they didn't say a thing. With just one glance, they could tell that the man in front of them was of a higher rank than them and that they had no right to ask questions.
Ken leisurely walked in and navigated until he was just about to reach the treasury room. But unfortunately for him, he saw a man walking towards him.
He looked slightly old, but his body was muscular and healthy. Ken's eyes travelled to the multiple badges on the man's chest and could immediately guess that his own rank was lower than the person in front of him.
'Well, I guess this is how far this disguise will take me but… maybe I should wait and see?' he thought as he did not pause and continued walking.
The old man saw him too and frowned as his hand went to rest on the holster on his hip.
"Major Ge-" he began, but before he could complete saying the two words, he saw the world go wonky.
He could still feel his entire body, but as rolled on the floor, he saw a headless body walk forward slowly before it fell to it's knees and then went down completely as the blood spurting out of the neck painted the walls, ceiling and floor… in blood red.
His vision turned blurry and then went completely black but right before he did, he saw two legs walk past him towards the treasury.
Ken walked past the guy he had just killed, but he didn't completely ignore him. As he walked, he touched both the guy's head and his body.
And by the time he had taken three steps, both parts of the body were gone. Ken rushed over to the treasury and pushed the door to test his luck but like he had expected, it was locked.
With a soft sigh, he controlled multiple strands of hair to fly into the keyhole before he began to work on unlocking the thing.
With his precise control over his hair strands, he managed to twist open the lock and then he pushed the door with his hand before walking in and closing the door behind him.
Piles of gold jewellery, multiple items and even gold bricks were in abundance inside this place. Apart from gold, there was also silver and Ken didn't leave anything.
His hair flew in multiple directions before grabbing onto almost everything that was in the room.
'And… gone. Just like that…' he thought as he saw more than half of the contents in the room just disappear. Two more seconds and the whole room had been emptied.
Ken didn't have to move another muscle when he found himself back in front of Keith.
"Good job." he said and patted Ken's shoulder before grinning, "We got a few other places to hit but this time, there's no need for an infiltration."
"What do you mean?" Ken asked but Keith just shrugged, "Just used… a lot of my… hmm. How do I even explain if you don't know what the term means? Well, I did some stuff while you were stealing all the gold."
Ken stared at Keith and then shook his head while sighing, "Yeah whatever. Use me how you like."
Keith grinned and sent him away.
From afternoon to the next morning, there were multiple places in Baroma Kingdom that experienced the mysterious disappearances of wealth but even though they found out, there really wasn't much that they could do.
Keith had joined in on the heists last night and he was out with Juliet and Ken by the time Baroma Kingdom's upper echelon had even begun to move to gather information.
"Now, the first stage of the war will end soon and Balmond won't gain much since it won't last long. You guys can go back and chill but I'll bring you two out when the war between Kazak empire and Morose starts up."
Juliet nodded while Ken spoke, "Same plan? We loot and decrease the strength of Morose Kingdom?"
"Nah, we're hitting Kazak Empire. Only certain locations though and we're not going for wealth this time. We'll be taking out a small number of people and that's it. I can make people just switch sides using my own ways.
It's the same with Baroma Kingdom. I'll need two months but once I manage to give them all systems, I'll be able to get them to surrender and become a part of both Kazak empire and Morose kingdom." he said and then smirked, "I'm still going help Mathew ascend the throne."
Once he said that, he sent them back to his spatial dimension. His expression suddenly turned serious as he teleported himself into a medium sized fishing boat.
There were two people sleeping while one was keeping watch, but Keith sent them all into his spatial dimension before tearing open the sacks that were on the boat.
He took a sniff and coughed, "Fucking… how do they even process this stinky stuff into addictive drugs bruv? I should have done some kind of research on this topic back in m previous life."
