Chapter 1170: Chapter 1170: What’s the Name_1
Alexander Summers was awakened by her movements and looked up at her, "How do you feel?"
Purple Summers said, "A bit thirsty."
Alexander got up to pour water. As he tested the temperature, he also took a big gulp himself. The chaos from last night kept his nerves on edge, and he hadn’t drunk any water.
After drinking the water, Purple Summers asked about the time. Alexander replied that it had just passed seven o’clock.
He opened the curtains a bit more. The winter sun rose late; at this time, the sky was still a dull grey.
Purple observed for a while then asked, "When can we go see the children?"
Alexander was momentarily stunned and countered, "Do we need to go see them? Aren’t they going to bring them to us?"
Purple Summers: "..."
Perhaps it was because Purple Summers’s expression looked so ghastly that Alexander took the initiative to go out and told the bodyguard outside to inquire. Moments later, he came back and told her, "They are just upstairs. We can go see them whenever we want, but we can’t enter the room; we can only look through the protective glass."
"Let’s go and see them now," said Purple Summers as she propped herself up by the elbows to sit up.
After all, they were flesh that fell from her own belly; she couldn’t just give birth and cast them aside.
It had to be said, due to the physiological differences, men and women inherently differ in their approach to children.
Purple Summers had some tearing down there during childbirth. Although stitched up, it still hurt, and moving around inevitably tugged at the wound.
Alexander had a wheelchair sent over and carefully lifted her into it.
Purple Summers frowned slightly as she sat down.
"What’s wrong, did I hurt you?" Alexander reached to pull at her pants, "Did it tear open again? Let me check..."
Purple Summers was annoyed with him and pulled his hand away, "Stop messing around!"
"How is this messing around?" Alexander furrowed his brows, looking quite serious, "I’m checking to make sure. What if it really did tear open again?"
Face flushed with displeasure, Purple Summers gripped his hand tightly and said, "I won’t let you look!"
Alexander, exasperated, said, "What are you even shy about? It’s not like you haven’t seen it before."
Purple Summers felt a buzz in her head.
"What did you say?" She stared at Alexander incredulously, "When have you ever seen it?"
Alexander spoke with a straightforward expression, "While you were asleep."
Purple Summers widened her eyes: "..."
Alexander really didn’t understand what Purple Summers was fussing about and continued, "You were passing lochia, needing to clean the wound, use a sanitary pad, change underwear... Not only did I look, but I also touched and felt. What’s the problem?"
Purple Summers opened her mouth, speechless. She had always thought it was Atra Blanc who had helped her change her underwear!
As Alexander considered her expression, it dawned on him, and he quirked an eyebrow smugly, "That’s mine to begin with."
Purple Summers held her forehead, not wishing to speak a word...
Discussing such topics with Alexander was a mistake!
While they were at an impasse, a nurse came in, smiling upon seeing them, "Mr. Summers and Mrs. Summers really have a wonderful relationship."
After speaking, she brought out an electronic thermometer with a cheerful expression, "Now, let’s take your temperature."
Purple Summers cooperated.
Then the nurse asked about some other physical conditions.
Purple Summers took the chance to ask about the children.
The nurse said, "They’re doing quite well. Although their weight is a bit on the light side, for twins, they are sturdy little lads, quite strong. They should probably be able to leave the incubator in about eight or nine days."
Only then did Purple Summers feel relieved.
She felt increasingly that Alexander’s words were all nonsense, his pestering half the day of no use at all!
The couple went to see their children together. Through the protective glass, at the sight of those two little beings, Purple Summers’s heart was melting...
Having been too exhausted at the moment of birth, she hadn’t felt much, but now, the more she looked, the cuter they seemed.
She just didn’t know which one was the older brother and which one was the younger brother.
Her gaze fell on the newborns’ ankle, where their information tags were tied.
She saw one read ’Big Baby Summers’ and the other ’Little Baby Summers.’
Purple Summers frowned and looked at Alexander, "What about the names you were supposed to come up with?"
