Chapter 1163: Chapter 1163: The Spirited Alexander Summers_1
Mr. Ghost Hayes was almost in tears.
Regardless of the nefarious ways, it was still the village that had raised him, his very roots!
If it were truly burned down by Alexander Summers, Mr. Ghost Hayes would indeed become the greatest villain in his clan, unable to rest in peace for a hundred years!
...If it really came down to it, he would just have to flee!
He couldn’t provoke him, no way he could!
Alexander Summers picked up his phone and called Zack Wallace, "Send over twenty men with blood on their hands, those with tough destinies. You personally watch over Mr. Ghost Hayes and Hunter Dalton as they enter the ghost village. If anyone escapes, don’t bother coming back!"
Inside, Mr. Ghost Hayes thought: Damn it!
Zack Wallace on the other end of the phone was also dumbfounded, blurting out, "Why is it always me?!"
Just hearing the name ’ghost village’ gave him the creeps! He did not want to go!
Alexander felt his patience, which had already been worn thin by these fools, grind his teeth, "Try spouting nonsense one more time?"
Across the phone, Zack Wallace could almost feel the killing intent and immediately got a shiver down his spine, saying, "I’m taking people to Kingsley right now! By this afternoon... No! By noon we’ll be there!"
After hanging up, Alexander looked up at the two men in front of him.
Mr. Ghost Hayes was pale with cold sweat drenching his head.
Hunter Dalton, however, appeared composed. Regardless of whether this worked out or not, he wouldn’t be at much fault. It was Mr. Ghost Hayes who was performing the resurrection ritual; the ghost causing trouble was also from Mr. Ghost Hayes’ village. Old grudges and new complaints, no matter how you looked at it, Alexander would only go after Mr. Ghost Hayes.
Alexander said to them, "Stay for lunch."
The message was clear...
Don’t leave.
...
The lunch wasn’t even finished when Zack Wallace indeed arrived at the villa with a group of strong men from Pearlpoint City. Without entering the house, they all stood in the yard orderly.
Purple Summers looked out, wondering, "What’s all this for...?"
Alexander added a piece of buttered cabbage to her bowl, saying indifferently, "This is the city government’s special task force, about to bust a cult’s pyramid scheme headquarters. The core members there have some tricky methods, so I’m sending these two to make sure nothing goes wrong."
Mr. Ghost Hayes wanted to smack his thigh: What a great explanation!
Purple Summers was startled, "A cult?"
Atra Blanc overheard and was also shocked, "A cult?... Like the ones in the TV shows?"
"Yes," Alexander glanced at Mr. Ghost Hayes, "We’ve only received reports for now. As for whether they’re true or not... that depends on their performance."
To be precise, it depended on Mr. Ghost Hayes’ performance.
"Stay in touch once you get there," Alexander instructed them.
Hunter Dalton set down his utensils and elegantly wiped his mouth.
Purple Summers felt something weird, looking from Hunter Dalton to Mr. Ghost Hayes, noticing the latter still had half a bowl of rice left, she couldn’t help but say, "Finish your meal before you go."
"This is a special operation, time is of the essence, we can’t delay," Alexander bluffed convincingly, "Let’s set off."
Hunter Dalton bowed and walked out with Mr. Ghost Hayes.
Purple Summers watched Mr. Ghost Hayes’ retreating figure and somehow felt like he seemed reluctant to leave?
Once the old man walked out, his figure amid the twenty brawny, strong men, he looked like a convict being escorted...
Zack Wallace came in a hurry with his men and left just as quickly.
Purple Summers felt something was off.
She turned to ask Alexander, "Is Zack Wallace now working for the city government? When did he pass the civil service exam?"
Alexander put another cabbage into her bowl and rubbed her head, "There, eat up. This involves government secrets, no disclosure allowed."
"Mom, look at him!" Purple Summers fumed, "Just a mayor, and he’s acting all high and mighty!"
Alexander continued smugly, "I’m the son-in-law of the president."
Despite looking down on them, he always liked to wave their banners.
