Chapter 1114: Chapter 1114: Blooming_1

In the room behind the television wall, there were two women.

They were female bodyguards specially transferred from Pearlpoint City by Alexander Summers, prepared for the close protection of Purple Summers.

Alarms, traps, and tranquilizer guns, along with the bodyguards—it was almost foolproof.

Unless the adversary had clairvoyance, or could predict the future, it would be impossible to harm even a single hair on Purple Summers.

Purple felt relieved staying in the hotel.

She also figured out the situation in the hotel: there were seventeen women who received roses, but only fourteen were staying at the hotel; three had left after staying for just a week.

Among the three who left, two were afraid of losing their jobs due to taking too much leave, and one was a local from Kingsley who, being young, could only sleep at home with her parents.

Purple was quite shocked to learn this. There really are people in the world who would risk their lives for their job.

Perhaps it was a matter of luck? After all, with so many recipients of the flowers, it’s unlikely that the murderer would target oneself.

As for the women who stayed, they weren’t exactly compliant; having stayed for quite a while, they argued with the guarding officers almost daily, asking when it would be safe to go outside, and when they could leave.

Purple lay on the hotel’s large bed, tossing and turning, finding no comfortable position.

This place wasn’t as good as home, and Alexander wasn’t here with her. But considering she probably wouldn’t stay for many days, she adjusted her mood, trying to calm herself down.

The killer preferred to take lives with a single stroke, and didn’t even bother to wait for the victim’s last breath before leaving, showing extreme confidence, pride, and arrogance, evidently not taking the police’s precautions seriously.

Now that he knew she had moved in, he would certainly act immediately, within three days at most, left or right...

Purple let out a gentle sigh, her thoughts heavy.

She hoped the true culprit would be captured soon.

At that moment, her cell phone suddenly rang. She answered it casually; it was Alexander.

"Do you miss me?" Alexander asked over the phone, his tone tinged with a smile.

Purple pursed her lips, not wanting to inflate his ego, but she honestly uttered an "Mmm" in response before asking, "What are you doing?"

"Watching you," Alexander said with a laugh.

Initially puzzled, Purple gave it a moment’s thought and quickly understood.

She looked around her, scanning the room. Though she saw nothing unusual, she was one hundred percent certain Alexander had installed surveillance cameras in this place!

He’s simply obsessed with surveillance.

Purple remained silent, instead wandering around the room, inspecting it. Seeing her actions, Alexander burst into hearty laughter, "Baby, you’ve become clever."

"I’ve always been clever!" Purple huffed, picking up a vase from the table and locating a miniature pinhole camera amidst the bouquet, sticking her tongue out at the lens.

She guessed there were more cameras elsewhere, but didn’t bother looking for them anymore. After all, it seemed unlikey that Alexander would ever change this habit.

Alexander asked, "Are you scared staying there?"

"Not scared," Purple said.

He then asked, "Are you tense?"

"I’m okay..." Purple said, after inspecting the room and lying back down on the bed, "I’m just worried that the killer won’t come."

If he doesn’t come, then forget it. I’ll pick you up and we’ll go back to play in Pearlpoint," Alexander said indifferently. He didn’t care how many more people would die, nor about the uproar on the internet.

Just as Purple was about to discuss themes of justice and public morals with him, a woman’s piercing scream suddenly came from outside!

Purple felt her heart skip a beat.

She got up and went outside, just to see the women gathered in the corridor, with a bunch of dark and lush black roses lying on the ground!

Black roses weren’t actually black in color, but rather a dark red that was almost black. Now, spread out on the floor, they looked like congealed blood.

A woman began to cry, "The flower has bloomed, it has bloomed..."

Purple asked someone nearby, "What happened?"

"If the delivered rosebud is closed, it means there are still some days left until death. If the rosebud is half-open, it means the day is near... But this bouquet, it’s fully bloomed!"
